We rented this home to attend our son’s Navy graduation and truly appreciated how close it was to the Naval Base — such a convenient location! The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay. The host was clear and responsive, and check-in was simple. While the neighborhood looked a little rough, we had no issues at all and felt safe throughout our stay.We did ask about having a few extra family members stop by briefly to see and hug our new sailor — not for a party, just a short visit — but that wasn’t allowed due to the home’s strict guest limit of six people. In hindsight, I should have looked into that detail beforehand, as it was not the host’s fault. I just wanted to mention it so others are aware and can plan accordingly.Overall, we had a great stay. It’s a cozy, clean home in a convenient area, perfect for families attending graduation at the base!

If I could give 10 stars, I would! The location is ideal for anyone who is involved with the Great Lakes naval base where my grandson had just completed Boot Camp for the Navy. The location is minutes from the base and completely surrounded by shopping areas both big and small. The house is totally prepared with comfortable beds, great closets, end tables in the bedrooms that allow charging options. There is a very large TV with all the popular streaming options. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and pots, glassware, and dish soap! The bathrooms have excellent towels, extra shampoo and body wash. There was nothing that I needed for my family of five. Each bedroom accommodated two persons and that was just the upper level. They also have a second lower level with three bedrooms and a bath for a very large family. The kitchen is on the primary floor. Each entrance has a code which is changed with each new guest. The Wi-Fi was strong. Overall, it was an incredible location, accommodation, communication and I highly recommend one from a party of two to a party of 10 or more two reserve early on this split level home. It even had a deck off the sliders in the kitchen. There was parking in the front of the house and in the back of the house. The entire property was extremely well lit. At the next ceremony, we will return to this property without a doubt!

The house was very nice and clean. The neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy but we had no problems. Could use a few more items in the kitchen (a skillet at least) and more seating in the living room. Beds were super comfortable and we had plenty of space. Shower was great! Everything was stated. We’d stay again if we are in the area.

We stayed for 5 days for a Navy Graduation. This is close to the naval base. We rented a car, which made getting around easy. The house is super clean. The beds are comfortable. A big dining table that fit all of us-5 adults and a baby. It was great to have a play pen for the baby available. The host answered any message quickly and politely. We would stay here again if we were in the area again.

Great location for getting to the Naval base

There were 5 adults that stayed at this property. With a new Naval recruit graduate that came over during his liberty time. We were 8 minutes away from gate 8 and 6. So it worked out very well for us with the Naval base part of it. When we went to eat we drove to the other side of Waukegan or Gurnee. Which both are 20 to 30 minutes each way depending on traffic. The house looks like it just had a refresh and was very comfortable and clean. This is a split level house with someone living in the bottom part. I believe the bottom tenant is tied to the rentals somehow. When you walk in there will be a set of stairs going up to the part you rented (no door to this part, besides the main entry door). With another set of stairs going down with a door that is locked from the bottom tenants side. The kitchen doesn't have a lot of dishes/glasses/silverware/cookware. There is no dishwasher you will have to do them all by hand. The thermostat is in a lock box, you will not be able to change the temp. We had 6 adults taking showers in the bathroom and never ran out of hot water. Contact with Ada was convenient and she always got back with me. Don't think we will be back in the area since our son has moved to another base. But if we do come back would not mind staying here again.

Inside was nice and clean. Threw us for a loop having people stay downstairs. Didn’t seem very private or secure. We could hear kids yelling and their tv playing. Very different.

Great Stay, very nice.

Great stay, no problems with the house what so ever, neighbor has a great culture feel, amazing elote place down the road along with 6 Flags and a fairly short trip to the city. Only complaint is that it was listed as the whole house but there were people staying below in the basement, did not effect our stay whatsoever though. Had a really good time and would stay again!

This location was 15-20 minutes from anywhere that we needed to go. Base, mall, food, shopping, and the lake were all within a reasonable driving distance.

Stay for sons navy boot camp graduation

We stayed here for my son’s Navy boot camp graduation, and overall it was a great experience. The home was clean and had everything we needed. The area was okay and felt safe. Communication with the owner was smooth—she responded quickly and was very helpful. The location was super convenient, only about 10 minutes from the base. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone attending a graduation or visiting the area.

In the time I was looking for a house, this was the perfect option because both my husband and I worked at the Naval base and it was super accessible to us, and now it is the perfect place to receive our guests who 98% are family or friends who come to the graduation of the sailors.

The lake is only 5 minutes away by car, downtown Waukegan is 5 minutes away where you find the theater, and a beautiful view of the lake and much more.

It is a quiet, clean place recently renovated, with all the basic things for a short stay such as shampoo, towels, with clean and very comfortable beds, and a kitchen with what you need to cook something delicious for your family, It is a house that is divided into 2 apartments of 3 rooms each apartment, where we host two families every week and it is a pleasure to be able with special care prepare each apartment every week especially for you.
