Mignon comme une cabane en rondins de bouton dans la communauté de Masthope Mountain avec une grande cheminée en pierre pour des week-ends d'hiver agréables. Ski, raquettes ou ski de fond toute la journée, rentrez chez vous et profitez d'un bon feu et d'une tasse de cacao chaud. Notre maison dispose de 3 chambres et d'un grenier. Deux chambres ont des reines et le loft a deux lits jumeaux - idéal pour les enfants et la 3ème chambre a un jumeau. Deux salles de bain complètes et une cuisine de style cuisine autour de cette cabine confortable. Le salon a des canapés confortables et une télévision à écran plat. Il y a un porche couvert à l'avant pour se détendre et un foyer à l'arrière pour rôtir les guimauves. La communauté de Masthope Mountain a accès à la montagne Big Bear Ski, une piscine extérieure, des écuries, un centre de fitness, un lac, une plage, un club-house, etc.
Avec votre location, vous recevrez 7 laissez-passer gratuits pour l'utilisation de toutes les commodités de la communauté. En hiver, vous recevrez 25% de réduction sur tout billet de remontée mécanique.
Pour les locataires du printemps:
Oui, vous aurez besoin d'un permis de pêche. La piscine extérieure n'est pas ouverte jusqu'au Memorial Day, puis elle n'est ouverte que le week-end jusqu'à ce qu'ils y aillent à plein temps, généralement vers la 3e semaine de juin. Le lac sera accessible mais sans sauveteurs ni location de bateaux également jusqu'à ce qu'ils y aillent à plein temps en juin. Vous pouvez donc pêcher le lac depuis le rivage. L'équitation / les écuries et le zoo pour enfants seront ouverts mais il est toujours préférable d'appeler à l'avance car le temps joue un grand rôle dans ce qui est ouvert et non. Les sentiers de randonnée sont toujours ouverts, le bord de la rivière est disponible et les aires de jeux / terrains de balle / courts sont toujours ouverts.

Absolutely great fishing cabin for summer. You can fish in the local lake or on the Lackawaxen River which is what I do. I love the front porch on quiet mornings. Kitchen had everything I needed. Fire pit is a personal fav for evenings after dinner.

Quick and easy

The cabin was cozy and location was very peaceful. The proceed of renting it was quick and easy. No stress at all.

Great cabin for a getaway

The cabin was perfect for our weekend away. Rustic features with modern comforts, shows even better in person. Clean, comfortable and everything you need in the kitchen. Fire pit was great and no need to bring camp chairs as there's plenty of seating. Research firewood locations in advance, not many places to purchase without spending $10/6pc bundle. Will definitely stay again.

Nice rental

The property was great. Very well kept and clean. Had a great time while staying there.The one small hiccup with the gas grill was addressed promptly by Cindy. I felt the website could have been more descriptive on the exact location when booking. I did not get an exact adddress until after I booked.

Peaceful Getaway in The Woods

We only stayed here two nights while going to The Woodstock 50 reunion in Bethel, NY. Sadly we did not have time to take advantage of the free passes to use the beautiful pool and picturesque beach. This was just a quick trip from Canada. The area is so peaceful. We saw many miniature deer wandering on the road so drive slowly but much fun to see them. The cabin is really cute with a nice kitchen and comfy sofas to lounge on in the living room. My only negative is the bathroom nearest the two main bedrooms seems to date back to the original Woodstock. The green sink was a bit grimy too. I never could figure out the shower hose which was tricky to operate and the grout in the tiles was disintegrating. None of this, though, should be a deterrent to renting this spot which has lots of rustic charm.

Cozy Cottage in the Woods

The cottage was very clean and comfortable, and we loved having meals on the porch, playing games inside, watching the deer who came right up near the cottage and swimming at the lake beach area and the two lovely pools in the community. As other renters mentioned - there is no WiFi- we borrowed a library hotspot which we used sparingly, but it was a good opportunity for everyone to unplug. The community itself offers a lot of amenities, but we had some trouble in trying to use them. We really wanted to go horseback riding, but they only took reservations on Sundays for the following week and were closed Mon-Wed. We didn’t receive this info early enough to reserve during the days we were staying. Paddleboards were also broken during our stay. Clear communication from the community was an issue. When trying to leave our trash at the designated place on the day we left, they told us (rather rudely) that it would be a $10 charge to open it, since it wasn’t open that day, even though their written information said you just had to request that they call maintenance to open it - nothing about a charge. Plan to ask detailed questions when you arrive about if/when things are open in the community, because they seem to change things without notice and don’t go out of the way to be accommodating. One more thing to know - it’s a large community, so you’ll need to drive to access the lake and pools from the cottage. The cross country ski trails are in walking distance.

Second stay

Enjoyed the first time around so we came back. Easy check in. Everything was there as needed. Upgrades were also done since last time rented. Nice new bathroom. Watched deer from the front porch while eating dinner. If your looking for quiet and cozy this is a great place.

Log cabin hideaway

The property was as expected - rustic, cozy home. The only issue is that the heat was not on when we arrived and the house took almost 24 hours to heat up as it was a very cold weekend. Other than the heat, we enjoyed our weekend.

Girls weekend

The five of us needed a weekend away after incredibly stressful months. This cabin was perfect for our getaway. It was cozy, comfy, and all around delightful. Loved having coffee on the porch and enjoying a fire while we ate dinner.

Cabin in the woods

The cabin was more than what we needed for just the two of us, but could definitely accommodate a family. It was rustic and relaxing, very comfortable. We would consider renting this again when traveling with friends.

Great little getaway

Had a great time at this cabin. My kids were outside the whole time catching newts, salamanders and different bugs. Also the beach, lake and pool did not disappoint. We will definitely book again!

July vacation in the Poconos

My family and enjoyed our time here. The cabin was clean and the perfect size for the seven of us with plenty of room inside and outside. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, dishes, flatware, glasses, etc., so bring your own food and you should be able to cook just about anything you want. The location was peaceful, especially during the week, and if you enjoy seeing deer, you will love this place. The community also provides plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. The host did such an excellent job of preparing and stocking the cabin that all we had to worry about was enjoying our vacation. I would absolutely stay here again.

Poconos getaway

We needed a change of pace for the 5 and 7 year olds in this year of Covid. This cabin in a wooded neighbourhood, with deer and chipmunks was perfect. We did family walks and visited the pool and lake, played mini-golf and enjoyed the firepit at night.

Pros and cons

Pros: great property with a great community and access to its own private lake. The lake has a beach area with life guards for swimming. Free paddle boarding and others. Great area for fishing. Another area is the pool with a splash pad for the kids and a restaurant on site. The market attached to the community gets you basics. House was very clean and well stocked. Cons: this property has no AC. Huge disappointment when we discovered after book a vacation in July. Not near lake walinpaulpack at all. 30 mins away. We very much enjoyed our stay and would look for a house in the same community.

Weekend Getaway

We had such an amazing, relaxing time! From fishing to the deer to seeing a bear walk across the road, we couldn't have asked for anything more! The cabin is much larger then it looks from the outside. Very clean and organized. We can't wait to go back!

Our stay at Masthope

Overall, it was fantastic! Nice interior and perfect fit for 2 families with kids or 3 young couples. Town has everything - sports facilities, lake and sand beach etc. Only downside was its proximity to major stores. The close one is Weis Market and it is about 30mins driving from the place.
