This home is a home away from home. Great location, walkable to downtown Sister Bay. I would recommend this property. Check in to check out process was easy and seamless. Pam reminded us she was always available when we need anything, great host. And our pup enjoyed the stay as well :-) Thank you Pam

A great location, easily walkable to Sister Bay. We didn’t use the kitchen, but really enjoyed the comfortable and spacious living room. The master bed/bath was great, though we were a little surprised that it was upstairs. That didn’t seem clear in the listing (we thought only the little twin-bed room was upstairs), but it all worked out fine. The exterior could use a little TLC.

This "cottage" has uneven sloping floors with inclines up to 2 inches - terribly hazardous. Almost completely fell 3 times. Paid a lot of to endanger ourselves. Listing did not identify this. Pet friendly - not for us. Day before we arrived the yard was sprayed. One of the reasons for renting a house is to have a yard. Flags marked the yard. Thus it was not useable for our pet or for us. Agent knew we were bringing a pet since we paid for a pet. Only thing great about this place was the location.

It was an excellent vacation we stayed with our dog who had the time of her life. Her highlite was Pebble Beach. We also caught a magnificent sun set. I really enjoyed being able to walk to most places. The house is great nothing teally needs to change. We are looking to book it for next year July. Hope that there is availability. Thank you so much for making our first time in Door County something we may consider every year.

The property is very well maintained, stocked with everything you could possibly need and nicely decorated. We were very comfortable and it’s great that pets are allowed too. The location is wonderful with a short 10 minute walk into downtown Sister Bay. We never drove once. Home is located on main road through town but you couldn’t hear traffic unless windows were open. The property managed Pam was very helpful and timely with communications. Very satisfied!

Fall Fest Fun

Captivating old world charm with a modern touch... all the conveniences of home...Very neat and clean, with newer furnishings and appliances, and all the amenities and supplies you could ask for. Awesome coffee bar...Great place to stay for the Fall Fest in Sister Bay. It was a very short walk to all the festivities...looking forward to next year :-)

Excellent Location

Location is walking distance to downtown Sister Bay on the Northern end of town. It’s right off the Main Street so you do hear street noise but it’s very quiet in the evening. The kitchen has all the coffee appliances you need. Wonderful stay and would absolutely stay again.

Adorable House

The location is great! The beds are comfortable and we were all grateful for the wonderful pillows. The 3rd bedroom is set up great for kids. The sloped ceilings made it a little tricky for the 60 (something) crowd. A luggage rack would have helped. The living spaces are comfortable and plentiful. Thanks for sharing.

Some issues

Proximity to Sister Bay is excellent. Bedrooms are nice but the twin room could use some hooks or hanging space. We had to fix a few broken things: a shower door, lamp & ice maker. There are a couple of tripping hazards on the first floor with different floor levels. Biggest issue: the kitchen sink flooded the entire floor while we were there. We used up all the towels to clean it up and had to wait for a plumber. But we received some compensation back, which was much appreciated. Pam is terrific!

Lovely spacious retreat in Sister bay

Spacious with comfortable furnishings Adorable inside ! Pam was very responsive and genuinely concerned that we enjoyed our stay. Only downsides were no AC in some of bedrooms and it was very hot the weekend we stayed. The other concern was the traffic on 42. It’s a blessing to be close to all things Sister bay but road traffic is something else! Overall would easily recommend this property!

Perfect place and location

Can’t tell you how much we enjoyed our stay here. The place was beautiful and clean; and the host was so accommodating and helpful. The location is perfect relative to Sister Bay. Walking distance to marina yet enough distance for the quiet moments. Truly a lovely vacation.

Wonderful stay, yard, space.

Family of 6 adults (and a dog) enjoyed our stay immensely and plan to return. We walked to town, biked around, enjoyed the backyard, had plenty of space to mingle and to get away from each other. Kitchen very well stocked and bathrooms well stocked with all things needed. During the day there is some noise from the road if napping but that is what makes the location so great as its on the "main drag" of the town and easy to get around. Pam was responsive when I had a question and very helpful. Thanks and we will see ya next time.

Perfect Fall Getaway!

Door County Ladies Adventure

Sister Bay Chalet is conveniently located on main road through Sister Bay. The house had everything we needed when not out site seeing, shopping or dining. We spent time in Fish Creek, Newport State Park, Peninsula State Park and took the ferry to Washington Island - which was a pleasant surprise and perhaps our favorite part of the weekend. We will be back!

Too Short, Wanna Go Back!

This adorable cottage exceeded our expectations. Highlights include large open-plan kitchen, dining and living room combo, huge windows with screens for lots of fresh air and views surrounded by trees for privacy. It’s just a half mile walk to Sister Bay. The kitchen was very well equipped, the bathrooms were newly remodeled and the whole upstairs had brand new carpet. It was spotless and perfect for our getaway.

Sisters Road Trip

This is a perfect location to all things Sister Bay. The home provided a wonderful home base for our first Door County adventure. The front deck was the perfect spot for morning coffee and evening drinks. This home is a true gem and Pam was a great host!

The Sister Bay Chalet is the first property we purchased in Door County and our first dedicated vacation rental. It was one of the first houses we looked at when we started our search. While it wasn't exactly love at first sight, we new we liked the authentic look of the home and the location couldn't be better. After seeing quite a few more houses and considering our options, we decided we could pretty easily turn the Chalet into a charming vacation rental, with just a minor kitchen update. We very quickly fell in love with the Chalet, Sister Bay and playing host to hundreds of people traveling to Door County every year.
