Historic Industrial Loft with a Spacious King bed Suite
About this space
This gorgeous loft captures the essence of Detroit- industrial and re-imagined. Feel yourself step back in time to a 1920âs bustling Detroit factory with the wood pillars, original floors, exposed brick, and tall windows letting the sun shine through.
Located in an up-and-coming industrial/ post industrial neighborhood. 3-10 minute drive to popular destinations
Please note that this is a new listing on this platform however I've been a short term rental host for 9 years. I've hosted over 5,000 reservations in the city of Detroit.
When you arrive to the loft youâll be able to park in a lot with convenient parking spots in front of the private door, and let yourself in with a lock code. The loft is spacious and will greet you with warm colors and interesting decor. It offers thoughtful touches to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.
It has a studio layout with the primary king bed on the main floor. There is also a full size bed upstairs which can sleep 1-2 people. The upstairs area is about 4.5â in height and you must use the ladder to reach it. The sofa is a fold down sofa that can accommodate 1 person sleeping on it. This apartment also has a walk-in closet so you can unpack, settle in, and stay a while.
Other amenities include:
âą Kitchen equipped w/ essential cooking tools and spices
âą Black out curtains for restful sleep
âą 55â smart tv with Netflix, Amazon prime, etc.
âą Radiant heat in the winter, Window A/C for the summer
âą Sound machine
âą King mattress: King Koil / innerspring/ euro top/ plush firmness
âą Full mattress: Siena memory foam/ medium firmness
âą Items for a young child can be set up per your request: pack and play, high chair, toys
This loft is Located in Milwaukee Junction, which is mainly an industrial area but has some buildings that have been remodeled as apartments, restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, etc. There are 2 great restaurants 5 blocks away- Oak and Reel and Freya. The building is tucked away in its own quiet corner. Please note there are some abandoned buildings nearby. But it is a very safe area. The building is a large complex with many neighbors so please note there might be noises from neighbors passing through the hallway or parking lot and there might be marijuana odors in common areas.
Other things to note:
This is a building with many other tenants so once in a while you will hear them: muffled talking, passing through the hallway, dogs barking, odors of marijuana, music playing, etc.

Ă propos de lâhĂŽte
HÎte : Georgia
Ever since I started backpacking internationally at the age of 18 I was drawn to working in hospitality. I first started hosting in Detroit in 2012 through couch surfing. I really enjoyed showing people the city, and making connections with people all over the world. Later, I worked at a hostel in Crete, which solidified my sense of belonging in the hospitality industry.
I started doing short-term hosting shortly after that in a loft I lived at in Detroit. After I met my husband, he joined me in my endeavors by helping me with furniture building and other maintenance-related things. Together we were able to establish ourselves more professionally. We hope to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. And we are always reachable in case you need anything!

Voici pourquoi lâhĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement
This neighborhood is called Milwaukee Junction. It has very easy access to I-75 freeway, as well as all the spots of interest in Detroit. Milwaukee Junction is removed from the hustle a bustle of the downtown area, making it quiet and safe, yet close enough to easily access everything. Around the building you can see some cool industrial landscapes mixed with untouched nature, the train junction responsible for the birth of "motor city", and about 5 blocks away we have our own neighborhood bar, cafes, highly rated restaurants, and a comic book store.
Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique
The exterior is an all-brick, historic, architectural beauty. It used to be a industrial building, home to original car manufacturers of Detroit.
