Welcome to Washington, DC, and welcome to our lovely neighborhood. Here you'll find trees & green space with restaurants & shops just two blocks away. Enjoy a cup of Joe before heading out. Relax after a day downtown. This clean, modern flat features a spacious living room, spacious separate bedroom, super comfy king bed and two comfy bunk beds in the bedroom, perfect for a small group of guests. There is also a double pull-out sofa bed in the living room for plenty of sleeping options. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like streaming TV, kitchenette, programmable thermostat, and WiFi. Relax in the living room with a full sofa and loveseat for comfortable seating. There is also a separate dining area with a table and chairs. The kitchenette offers a sink, microwave, single burner for cooking, and all of the essential dishware, utensils and cookware. Easy street parking is within a block of the house. The property backs up to lovely Rock Creek Park and is two short blocks to dining and shops. The neighborhood is quiet, green and the perfect mix of urban and residential. Tianni was very welcoming and we enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment is spotless and has much more than the basic amenities. Thoughtful, generous, spacious, and a great location for a relaxing visit.

We had a great stay at The Den. The apartment is clean and spacious, and the location was perfect for us. A short walk to Connecticut or weekend parking straight in front of the house. Tianni was very welcoming with great communication and was a wealth of knowledge on the neighborhood. Thanks!

Our stay was great! The rooms were very clean. There was plenty of spare pillows and blankets for all of our guests which we appreciated. The host was very responsive and very helpful with our stay. There were some great coffee shops/restaurants nearby and within walking distance that we enjoyed. We would stay here again if ever in the area.

The Den was such a perfect spot and Tianni is a wonderful host. The bed was extremely comfortable and the teens said the pull out beds were great too. Parking was readily available and close by. Would definitely stay here again next time we’re in town.

The Den in DC is an excellent property. The property was much larger than expected. Check-in/out was very easy. Host provided clear and accurate communication. Walking distance to stores and restaurants (few blocks) and Metro station was only a one mile walk.

We enjoyed our stay in this well equipped basement apartment. We were there over the weekend, so we are able to park on the street near the house. The owner checked in via VRBO messaging to make sure we had everything we needed. Several restaurants are about a 5 minute walk away. We liked Mucho Gracias. The metro was a 15-20 minute walk. We took the metro for brunch at Sababa and enjoyed a beautiful fall walk back through Rock Creek park.

A LOVELY HOLIDAY HOME

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Tianni's "den" and it perfectly suited our needs! The only problem with the property was the lack of kitchen/cooking facilities, but in our case, this was easily overcome, because there are a few eateries, restaurants within walking distance on Connecticut Avenue, so all in all, a very enjoyable stay!

Simply Perfect

The location for the Den was stunning. We felt safe and close to the attractions we wanted to see. Our hosts were responsive and left all the information we could think of for the area. It is definitely a place we will return to on our next trip to DC

Cute little place that was perfect for our weekend stay. Easy access to Connecticut Ave and all the DC area has to offer, but tucked away in a neighborhood for peaceful sleeping. The hosts were attentive (prior to and during our stay) and offered helpful advice about the nearby area and street parking rules. The entire space was clean and the king bed was comfortable. We will definitely stay again if the opportunity arises. Thank you!

Beautiful apartment in great neighborhood

Check-in was easy and Tiana was very helpful. The apartment is beautiful, nicely furnished and had plenty of space for our 2-adult, 3-kid family. Highly recommend.

Great location near many small restaurants and stores walking distance. Only 10-15 min away from National Mall. Very comfortable and clean. Also many movie channels on TV to keep everyone entertained. Host was very helpful and would respond right away. Would definitely stay there again!

We had a great stay!! It was perfect for myself, husband, and teen daughter. The neighborhood was quiet and parking was easy. Loved the renovations and it had everything we needed. Enjoyed seeing the bunny in the yard and fireflies in the evening. Walked to Comet Ping Pong twice to eat. Also the bagel shop in the morning for breakfast. Explored the city daily. We took two tours, saw monuments, went to a few museums and the zoo. We had an excellent time overall and would highly recommend! Thank you!

It is a convenient location for a weekend getaway and worth the price. Parking is easier during weekend and non-rush hour times because you can park right in front of the building. Be aware of that you need to go down outside stairs to access the entrance to this lower level apartment. Shower and bathroom was excellent. Host was kind and flexible with check out times. Main bedroom was excellent with comfortable bed. Pullout couch did not have a comfortable mattress. Lots of sheets and linen provided. For the price, I would stay here again.

My Stay

I was looking for a place to stay in and relax for a few days and this was the perfect place. Extremely cozy in a beautiful neighborhood. Many restaurants less than a five minute walk away, including a very good bagel shop. Parking was free and there were many spots. Great communication and no issues. Very high quality sheets and towels. 5/5. Would definitely book again.

Loved the property and location and enjoyed my visit in DC. However, there were some things that concerned me. In particular the advertisement wasn’t specific enough about parking I.e., that parking was only on the street, your car had to be moved during am and pm rush hour. You also needed a residential parking permit which I did not received even though it was promised.Second issue: The advertisement did not mention that there was steep steps down to enter the property. I’ve has both knees replaced. That should have been mentioned in the advertisement for potential renters who may have handicaps.Third Issue: The host had kids that ran around the house and made excessive noise to the point that the the windows in the unit was wratteling. When I mentioned it the host said they were wired??? Remember this is a basement unit whit the host and family living upstairs.Fourth Issue: The unit had the smell of cats even though I didn’t see any cats???
