Check in was fine once you figure out which lockbox it is. The house itself is beautiful (older) but well maintained. Property manager responded promptly to questions. I like that you could get 2-3 vehicles behind a closed gate for overnight parking. Everything was clean at arrival. Large house with plenty of room.Here's the real deal, the house looks gorgeous but is in a less than ideal neighborhood. Really run down houses around with nice ones sprinkled in. There is a rooster that crows all night so if you stay in the back apartment, bring a sound machine or earplugs. Our 3rd night there was some type of shootout or just neighbors being crazy but definite gunfire over the span of 20-30 minutes sporadically. Heard about 25 shots, maybe thats just normal for Houston. I grew up in a rough area so I'm no stranger to some of that but don't want it near my kids. If I were to change a few things it would be that you could flush toilet paper and not have to put it in the trashcan due to their sensitive septic tank (their request). Shower in the main bathroom could be better and please get a new toaster. Last is the 2 back bedrooms get warm at night and the small ac didnt work in the last bedroom. Again, property itself was nice just didn't care for the location. I hate leaving less than an ideal review but this is the stuff people want to know.

Hi Heather, Thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed review. We’re glad to hear that you found the home beautiful, clean, spacious, and that communication with our team was prompt. We also appreciate you noting the secure gated parking, as many guests find this very helpful. We’re sorry to hear about some of the concerns you mentioned. During your stay, the only issue that was brought to our attention was the missing remote for the mini split unit, which we addressed as quickly as possible. We always encourage guests to reach out during their stay so we can resolve concerns right away — items such as appliances (toaster) or shower adjustments can typically be handled promptly. Regarding the air conditioning, the home has a central AC system that cools the property. The unit mentioned in the back room is an additional supplemental unit and is still part of the main system. Guests are also welcome to adjust thermostat settings for their comfort at any time. The septic system guidelines about not flushing certain materials are standard for many homes with septic systems and are included to help prevent plumbing issues that could impact a guest’s stay. As for neighborhood factors such as nearby animals or unexpected outside disturbances, these are unfortunately beyond a homeowner’s control. Houston is a large and diverse city, and experiences can vary by block or time. We truly appreciate your feedback and will still review the toaster, shower and AC unit to ensure everything is functioning optimally for future guests. Thank you again for staying with us.

I love traveling and when I do, I always look for a comfortable and a safe place to stay for my family. My budget is always secondary. I work in a healthcare setting and my pet peeves are cleanliness, orderliness, accessibility and convenience. These are the qualities that my guests will truly appreciate on my properties. For every elderly guest, you will be assured that there are only a few steps to take for them to get into the house and there will be grab bars for them to hold on to for their safety. Every detail of the house is well-thought of and my promise to my guests is that I will always be available for them 24-hours a day.

I fell in love with the house itself because of its classic design, spacious rooms and its huge backyard. I was also pleased with the ample parking spaces that it has on its side of the house. Moreover, the house is located conveniently where it only takes 10 minutes to get to the airport and 20 minutes to the Medical Center and downtown area.

Since Houston’s Medical Center is well-known for medical and surgical tourism, we always find guests in need of a place to stay and a helping hand to care for them after their procedures. Because of this, my profession of being a Nurse opened an opportunity for me to provide care and services to our guests in need. Upon request, we offer packages that include Nursing Care, Chauffeur services (pick-up and drop-off from and to the airport, hospital appointments, discharge, pharmacy pick-up) and meals. Our nurses and caregivers are experts on taking care of pre and post-surgical patients who underwent surgeries like plastic surgery (breast surgeries of all kinds, tummy tuck, BBLs, mommy make-over, liposuction, any form of facelifts, rhinoplasty and others to name a few), abdominal surgeries, knee surgeries, hip surgeries, and many others to name a few, Contact the host for more information.
