Place is great! Great decor, impressivly stocked, has everything you could need. In the middle of downtown, close to everything. Will stay here again.

What an amazing experience!! The Story Block Loft was luxury and comfort. Right at our fingertips we had everything we needed for a wonderful family trip. My adult children an I enjoyed every second we had. The loft was beautifully decorated and loaded with anything you need for your stay. Beautiful views everyehere, and the location could not be any better.

Great location, right on Main Street, with a garage in the back. We loved the use of the elevator to get to the top floor because it was a lot of stairs if you went through the garage entrance (not too bad from the front/street entrance, but initially you enter through the garage). Unit is gorgeously appointed, rooms are spacious and the kitchen is the most well-stocked I have seen for a rental in Ouray. They have literally provided everything you could need/want as well as lots of basics like spices and a great hot beverage selection. Beds are comfy and the closets hold tons of extra blankets and towels, if you need them. Blinks provide plenty of privacy, but also their up/down nature makes it easy to enjoy the mountain views while still maintaining privacy. The space is huge, and we loved dining at a lovely table or having the bar as a casual option. The bathrooms are great, too, and come stocked with shower essentials and even great additions like black towels for makeup removal and a stack of cups for teeth brushing. Very nice touches. In-unit washer dryer was handy, and we loved that the check-out requirements were very minor and included starting a load of towels and trash only - thank you for that. (We don't return to properties that surprise you with a laundry list of to-dos at check out!)Responsiveness: We had a very minor issue with something that came apart in the bathroom, and they came immediately and fixed it. Perfect Would stay again!

A lifelong Coloradan who first discovered the Ridgway and Ouray area in 2001, Laura brought with her an extensive background in business, marketing, and travel management. Her years of experience in the ski and property management industries across North America’s premier destinations provided the foundation for a company built on community and exceptional service.

In 2020, the team expanded when Steve moved from Dallas to join Laura in Ouray County. Steve’s arrival marked the beginning of a new chapter for the company, bringing forty-three years of high-level construction management experience to the team. Having served as Vice President for some of the nation’s top General Contractors, he integrated professional expertise in budgeting, procurement, and project oversight into the company’s property maintenance and caretaking operations. His own connection to the state dates back to 1993, when participating in Ride the Rockies ignited a lifelong passion for Colorado’s dramatic landscapes.

Today, Laura and Steve work side-by-side to lead a dedicated team of professionals focused on delivering top-tier property care. When they aren't overseeing the finer details of a guest's stay or maintaining local residences, they are often found embracing the outdoors together.
