This charming Bonita Springs rental was the perfect spot for our getaway! We loved the cozy feel and all the unique and interesting trinkets throughout the space â it really gave the place personality. Comfortable and cute, it had everything we needed for a relaxing week. Highly recommend!
We love staying at this fun and creatively decorated property. This was our second time in the main house and we have also stayed in the apartment two other times. Would be happy to return! Breakfast on the indoor lanai is just terrific!
We loved the decor it's a very Pacific island type motif. Lots of Tikis!! We were amazed at the amount of wildlife that visited out back towards the creek. Just got to say Bruce that the place was totally awesome!!! We saw Great Heron, Great Blue Heron, Black Vulture, and several Anole lizards (named most of them) and One GIANT one came to visit a couple of times to eat the berries of the little tree on the lanai. We also saw a pretty good sized iguana sunning at the top of the taller palm on the left of the steps down by the creek. We saw evidence of Raccoon (turned over our shell buckets and eft footprints on the canoe) and saw a grey squirrel. We were close to many great restaurants and centrally located for our shelling expeditions. So fairly short drive down to Marcos Island and up to Sanibel. Thanks so much!!
We loved the space, the spacious dining area, the bedrooms, the lanai and the back area towards the creek. We enjoyed looking at all the unique and interesting collections from the Caribbean, Japanese kimonos and African/Asian trinkets in the apartment. The apartment is close to downtown restaurants and parks and Wonder Gardens-Shangri-La and Canary Club Pizza are unique. We ate at the Canary Club Pizza several times during our one month stay. Bruce was easy to communicate with and was very attentive and responsive to our requests. We had some problems with the range/oven. He got it replaced with a new unit within a day. Thank you, Bruce, and also your sister Barbara, who was cordial and helpful.
Considered an earthling, I have traveled for a living for 3 decades, working backstage on traveling Broadway productions. I am interested in almost everything, and bought this Florida place as an experiment when looking for places for my sister and brother-in-law.
The neighborhood is mostly single family homes within walking distance of The WonderGardens, restaurants, shops, and the public park. The house is on Leitner Creek which leads to the Imperial River about a block away. The creek is the focal point of the house and patio, imparting a sub-tropical, everglades kind of feel.
The house is a tribute to old florida, and to travels near and far. It's a kaleidoscope of color and vintage treasures, not a cookie cutter kind of place. Guests have a chance to unwind in a quirky place with bright colors and vintage style.
