Welcome to The Academy Loft! Our newly renovated 1BR apt. in Columbia`s historic district. Our 725sqft apt is only 1.1m from the sq. & .5mi from Hospital in downtown Columbia. This rejuvenated space has everything you need for a perfect stay in the `Dimple of the Universe.` Enjoy the comfy KING bed, fully stocked kitchen, separate dining & living areas, and TV w/ Amazon firestick w/ many streaming options. This unit is an upstairs apartment in a fully renovated house built in 1936. There are 3 units in this building. The first floor is a 2 bedroom apartment and there is a small studio apartment over the basement storage. You will have exclusive use of the upstairs apartment with a private entrance, no shared living spaces and accessing the space does require climbing stairs. The unit has 2 beds. A king and a day bed. The day bed is best suited for a child.

This apartment is located near historic downtown Columbia. The area is filled with stunning older homes. It is just a 1.2 mile walk to the downtown square and .4 miles to the hospital. Points of interest nearby include: Columbia Academy, The James K . Polk Home, Maury County Courthouse, shops, restaurants, and sights of downtown Columbia.
The house has street parking right next to the entrance. Downtown is just a 1.1 mile walk or a short few minutes drive.
Please remember that youâre staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on site 24/7.
HOUSE RULES
Before you arrive, we would like to make you aware of the House Rules in place. Understanding and complying with our house rules will make for a relaxing and fun stay for everybody. Please treat our place with the same respect as you would your own home. The house is divided into 3 units all with private entrances and no shared spaces. Please be considerate of the fact the floor of this unit is the ceiling of the first floor unit.
Please read each of the rules carefully in order to avoid any danger or deductions from your security deposit upon check-out:
*Renter must be at least 25 years old.
*Locals must contact the host before booking.
*NO SMOKING in the house.
*NO PETS at any time as we have extreme allergies.
*No extra overnight guests.
*Company is welcome, but please keep the total number of guests under 5.
*No parties or loud music please. The house is divided into 3 units all with private entrances and no shared spaces. Please be considerate of the fact the floor of this unit is the ceiling of the first floor unit. We ask that all be considerate and keep the volume at a âneighborlyâ level. Quiet hours are 10PM-9AM.
*Please do not move the furniture.
*Be sure to maintain a good level of cleanliness throughout your stay, this will make it much easier when check-out time comes! You will be provided with a starter kit of supplies: 2 trash bags, soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

*We donât expect to need to do this, but if repairs, maintenance, or some sort of inspection is needed during your stay, we will need access to the home. We will do our best to arrange a time that works for everyone.
*To simplify the inventory process, please return all kitchen items back to where you originally found them.
*Always report any accidental damages or breakages in a timely manner, especially before check-out. We will look into the issue internally to decide if and how much the replacement or repair cost will be.
*Please donât take any linens or bath towels out of the house.
Applicable fee schedule:
*Smoking Fee $200: If smoking of any kind occurs inside the house, we will charge a $200 fee.
*Additional Cleaning Fee $50: If the apartment is extremely dirty after check out beyond what a courteous guest would normally leave, we will charge an additional $50 cleaning fee. Examples: stained furniture, linens, walls and/or floors, trash not bagged up.
*Late Check Out Fee - $50: Check out is 10:00AM. If you are not out of the house by 10:30AM, we will charge you a $50 late check out fee. If you are not out by 12:00PM you will be charged another day (base rate w/o discounts) as a penalty however, this does not award you possession for an additional day.
