Quiet Indiana Dunes retreat near hiking and beach

Welcome to our funky and relaxing space in the Indiana Dunes! This rental is one of two private apartments in our home. Conveniently located near the bike trail, one mile from South Shore train station, lake street shops and dining and one mile from Lake Michigan. A great home base for exploring the Dunes, around the corner from the Paul H. Douglas Center Environmental education and Miller Woods Trail. Perfect spot for artists, nature lovers, remote work, family and couples get away.
The apartment is the main floor of our home. There is a secondary apartment where we live located in the basement of the house
Your space includes a well equipped large kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom, 2 bedrooms and an office/library with a fold out couch we can set up when needed. There are tons of reading materials in the library(sorry no TV) and brochures and maps of the Indiana Dunes.
There are 3 parking spaces in front of the house for guest use. Please do not park in front of our neighbors houses. Front door entry with keypad. Feel free to enjoy the front garden but please do not enter the fenced side yard.
We live in the basement apartment of the house but your unit is completely private and you will not likely see us during your stay. If you need anything at all feel free to message. The apartment is very private and there is very good sound insulation between your space and our apartment downstairs. We rarely hear our guests and love when we do hear people enjoying our home. That being said, loud music and loud footsteps in the living room during our quiet hours can be quite disruptive as we sleep under the living room. Quiet Hours 11pm-7am
