This is a private retreat for the group staying here — intimate, secluded, and completely self-contained. Guests come for Fairhope weddings, conventions, regional sports competitions, concerts on the bay, art festivals, Gulf Shores beach weekends, and family reunions. The house was better than the pictures! Clean, excellent decor and the host Sheri was the best. We were visiting from out of town for our sons wedding in lil point clear, and this house just added to the amazing weekend !! Highly recommend this beautiful place.

Great for families. Great outdoor space. We loved the downstairs screened in porch. Kitchens were very well equipped. Beds were very comfortable. The location was great. It was quiet and peaceful. Lots of room indoors to spread out and not be cramped. We had such a great time.

This property is gorgeous, exactly as listed! The location is beautiful, nestled into the end of the canal with birds chirping, and lovely sunset. The accommodations were very comfortable, very clean and can’t think of a thing it didn’t have for our stay.The wrap around porch was a treat! Thank you for an outstanding experience.

The family enjoyed the location and the upstairs space however there was an issue with musty smelly odor downstairs. My guests did not stay downstairs when cooking or eating. We had all gatherings upstairs with the exception of the back screened. Porch. There were a few issues with water leaking from the plumbing upstairs into the lower floor. Though a very lovely upstairs and lovely gourmet kitchens the downstairs is very open with only privacy in the one bedroom. The plumbing leak from upstairs thru downstairs light was being addressed after we left. The trundle bed that turned into a king bed was broke so I slept on the top of the trundle bed and my husband slept on sofa. Neither of us could sleep on the folding cot. I would not return to this VRBO.

Regarding the odor: two contractors and a neighbor each visited independently during your stay and found no detectable smell, which is consistent with the experience of every guest before and since. A beautiful home in a quiet location with easy access to Hwy 98.Nine adults and 4 kids gathered to celebrate Dad’s birthday. We all slept comfortably & loved that there was no shortage of restrooms! The downstairs was perfect for the younger ones to play, and the adults enjoyed lounging in the screened porches. Both kitchens were thoughtfully stocked with all necessities, plus small appliances like rice cookers, air fryers, and even 3 options for making coffee. Nothing was lacking— we were able to prepare meals together in the kitchens with the cooking and serving ware provided. Sheri was super friendly and easy to communicate with; she answered all of our questions prior to our visit, and was available to help us trouble shoot potential issues when we arrived. Our door code was sent ahead of time, and check in was a breeze. Everyone felt at home and had a great time during our stay. We would love to come back again!

The privacy and serenity of the location and the fact that it is located on a canal with direct access to Weeks Bay, one of the most ecologically diverse places in the world drew me in. I wanted to be on the water without being directly on the bay because lots are smaller there and weather less favorable.
The location is close enough to downtown Fairhope and a variety of top notch restaurants to feel like a member of the community but being in a rural suburban neighborhood meant that I could avoid the congestion of town.
That being said, when I first purchased the property it was ROUGH. Every surface needed to be modernized, and the house was "taken down to the studs." Two years of hard work and living on the property through all of the challenges of remodeling, I am proud to offer a completely renovated property with high end finishes to my guests. l loved living there, enjoy staying there and hope you will too.
