Escape to our cozy log cabin on the peaceful shores of Beaver Island. Enjoy breathtaking lake views from a huge waterfront balcony, plus an extra lakefront lot with private beach access, a fire pit, and plenty of space for your beach setup. Inside, you'll find two bedrooms, one bath, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, and internet—ideal for couples, families, or small groups looking to relax and recharge. Dogs Welcome!

Getting Here: Beaver Island is ONLY ACCESSIBLE by Boat or Plane. BOOK WAY in advance if you are brining your car spaces fill up fast.
Make sure to get yourselves to Charlevoix for take off! By boat or plane where your adventure begins!

Our cabin is just 15 minutes from the ferry dock and 11 minutes from both island airports.

Bringing a car? Reserve early at bibco.com—summer spots fill up fast. You can also rent from locals on the island:

These aren’t traditional rental companies—they’re island families helping out with extra vehicles. The cars may be a little dusty or rough around the edges (there’s a lot of dirt and gravel here!), but that’s all part of Beaver Island’s laid-back charm. They’ll get you where you need to go.

We had a lovely time at Ardenstone for a week mid-August. For most of our trip, it was just my spouse, me, and our dog. It was quiet, serene, and had everything you might need from a Beaver Island getaway. The beach was perfect, a mere steps from the house, and waking up to the Lake Michigan sunrise never got old. Having access to a fully furnished kitchen and washer dryer made packing for our trip a breeze. My spouse's parents joined us for the last 2 nights and were thrilled with the view. We were fortunate to get a spot on the ferry for our vehicle, but keep in mind you'll need a car to really get around. Thanks Faye and Kevin for making our time on Michigan's Emerald Isle as relaxing as possible!

Hi there! We're originally from Canada and now live in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but our hearts have truly found a home on Beaver Island. We fell in love with its peaceful pace, natural beauty, and unique charm—and it's become our favorite place to escape from the rush of everyday life.

We named our cabin Ardenstone for the surrounding forest (“Arden” meaning great forest or eagle valley) and the rocky shoreline that forms our natural seawall. If you're lucky, you might spot the eagle who often soars by—he’s incredible to watch.

We love being on the water, whether it's kayaking, swimming, or just enjoying the view with a good cup of coffee. One of our greatest joys is sharing this special place with others. Hosting guests at Ardenstone is more than just renting a cabin—it’s a chance to help people slow down, unplug, and experience the magic of the island. We truly feel connected to everyone who stays here, and we’re always happy to help you make the most of your visit.

We love grabbing a bite at our favorite restaurants—The Beachcomber for a laid-back island vibe, The Shamrock for classic comfort food, Circle M for something a little special, and Sunset Restaurant at Beaver Island Lodge for an unforgettable view with dinner. For breakfast, coffee, or a quick lunch, Paradise Bay Coffee Shop and The Wild Strawberry are must-visits.

You’ll also find a wonderful library, a local museum, the charming St. James Pottery Studio with beautiful handmade pieces, and even a nostalgic old toy shop that’s a delight for kids and grown-ups alike. It’s a small town with a big heart—and a place where every stroll seems to lead to a new discovery.

Ardenstone is a cozy, peaceful cabin perched right on the water—so close, you’ll almost feel like you’re on a boat. The view stretches wide across the lake, giving you front-row seats to breathtaking sunrises and brilliant, star-filled skies at night.

What makes it truly special is how it feels—quiet, quaint, and deeply connected to nature. Waves gently lap against the rocky shore, eagles soar overhead, and the surrounding trees offer a sense of privacy and calm. There’s even beach access just to the side of the cabin, where we own an additional piece of property for you to enjoy—perfect for swimming, skipping stones, or just soaking in the peaceful rhythm of the island.

Inside, Ardenstone is filled with warm, simple touches that make it feel like home. It’s a place to unplug, unwind, and reconnect—whether you're curled up with a book, sipping coffee as the sun rises, or ending your day around a beach fire under the stars.
