Welcome to Trail Run Inn, a brand-new log cabin designed for unforgettable gatherings in the heart of Red River Gorge, KY. Whether you're planning a family retreat or a getaway with friends, this spacious home has everything you need to relax, reconnect, and explore the area! Accommodating up to 15 guests with 5 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms, the cabin features handcrafted wood beams, authentic dovetail joinery, soaring ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Two expansive covered decks provide breathtaking views of the Global Village climbing area, where guests can unwind in the large hot tub or enjoy the serene surroundings.
The Space:
Main Level
The main level features three spacious bedrooms, each with a king bed. The primary bedroom includes a private en-suite bathroom with a soaker tub, a walk-in shower, and a double vanity. The other two bedrooms share access to two additional full bathrooms. A laundry center is also available on this floor. The great room boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, a cozy propane fireplace, plush seating, and a TV. The fully equipped kitchen includes a large window over the sink, an island with seating for four, Samsung Bespoke Appliances including an electric range, drawer microwave, modern amenities, and a coffee station with both Keurig and drip coffee makers. The great room opens onto the top deck, which features a large family table and multiple seating areas overlooking the sandstone bluffs and climbing area.
Loft
The open loft provides a comfortable retreat with a designated work area, a pull-out couch, and plush seating for two. It offers a scenic view of the great room and its expansive windows, creating a bright and inviting space.
Basement
The lower level includes two bedrooms. The bunk room features one double bed and three single beds, while the second bedroom offers a queen bed, dresser, and ample clothing storage. These rooms share an adjoining full bathroom and second laundry center. The basement also has two separate living areas: one with a TV, recliner couches, and a life-size Connect Four with board games, and the second with additional seating, a large TV, a dining table, a kitchenette/bar, and direct access to the lower deck. Here, guests can enjoy the extra-large hot tub and multiple seating areas.
Exterior
The property provides ample parking, including a pull-in/reverse-out driveway suitable for large trailers and a secondary parking area accommodating up to five vehicles. A firepit area offers a cozy space for outdoor gatherings. With two expansive covered decks totaling 1,400 sq. ft., guests can take in breathtaking cliffline views of the Global Village climbing area and watch climbers scale the stunning sandstone formations. After a rainstorm you can hear the distinct sound of the waterfall as the water cascades over the cliff into the Daniel Boone National Forest.
Guest Access:
Guests will have private access to the entire cabin, property around the cabin, and private parking area. The property provides ample parking, including a pull-in/reverse-out driveway suitable for a large trailers or vehicles that park in a row and a secondary parking that can accommodate up to five vehicles.
The Neighborhood:
Trail Run Inn is located at the back of Shawnee Run, a new development that is very centrally located in the Red River Gorge. This cabin has two neighbors, but still feels very private.
Other Things to Note:
Each cabin is unique to specific items they include, however, RRG Getaways supplies the listed items below at all cabins as a baseline for guests. A starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry pods, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply. We do not supply anything considered perishable or consumable, this includes but is not limited to, coffee, salt, pepper, oil and the like.
Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided.
Firewood is not provided.
Propane is provided for the use of the grill.
Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited in the cabin.
This cabin utilizes filtered city water and is safe for consumption.
4x4 is not required to reach this cabin.
Pets are strictly not allowed. If we find any evidence of pets, a $100 pet violation fee will be charged.
