Great villa set in beautiful surroundings at the very top of an Andalucian mountain. Spectacular views of the sea and the mountains. Large swimming pool with access protected by safety gates, perfect for families. Three large bedrooms. Beautifully furnished with plasma TV and fine furniture and decor. Terrace with B-B-Q, fine outdoor furniture facing the ocean. Perfect for sunset enterntainment. Peaceful and relaxing. Villa set on the highest point of the mountain which commands one of the best views of the region.Very clean, quality furniture from designer stores and modern open plan kitchen with breakfast bar. About the area: The villa is set at the very top of the mountain therefore a car is essential. There is some steep driving at sections of the road but once there the view is breathtaking. Only other very exclusive villas are set at the top of the mountain.

We had a lovely stay at the villa, the views were superb the couple of instances we had Matt was on hand and happy to help only thing was nog having air conditioning and it was so hot when we were there but it would not put us off returning

Exceptionnel !

Nous venons de passer 3 semaines dans cette villa. L'annonce est trÚs fidÚle et représente bien l'endroit. Les photos ne mettent clairement pas en valeur le site. Nous avons passé ici un séjour mémorable et avons une grande envie de revenir. La piscine est grande, les terrasses sont belles et permettent de profiter des extérieurs tout au long de la journée. La vue est a couper le souffle. Je recommande vivement !

Vue magnifique sur mer et montagne

Bien que la vue soit magnifique, l’accĂšs Ă  la villa en voiture est trĂšs difficile, des virages en Ă©pingle trĂšs pentus et route Ă©troite en haut. Dommage, il n’y a pas de climatisation. La literie Ă  l’étage est Ă  changer. La maison Ă©tait propre.

Great place for holiday

We have spend a wonderful holiday, the view from the villa is amazing. The only downside was the bad conditions of the features ( parasols and deck chairs). The way to reach the villa is challenging , impressive the first time !

Wir verbrachten im Sept. 25 eine wunderschöne Ferienwoche in dieser Villa. Die Lage mit der atemberaubenden Aussicht auf die KĂŒste und ĂŒber das Meer ist nicht zu ĂŒbertreffen. Äusserst angenehm waren auch die Ruhe und die PrivatsphĂ€re im Aussenbereich und am Pool, wo man einfach super entspannen kann.Trotzdem gibt es aus unserer Sicht beim Zustand/bei der Ausstattung und bezĂŒglich Gebrauchsinfos der Villa Verbesserungspotenzial:Die AusrĂŒstung der KĂŒche ist teilweise in einem schlechten Zustand (z.B. Bratpfannen). Der Backofen war schwierig in Gang zu bekommen (keine Bedienungsanleitung vorhanden). Warmwasser gab es nicht, was fĂŒr den Abwasch nicht vorteilhaft war (kein GeschirrspĂŒler) aber auch zum Duschen angenehm gewesen wĂ€re.Keine Infos erhalten oder in der Villa vorhanden, beispielsweise wie der MĂŒll getrennt wird oder wo er entsorgt werden kann, wo die Poolbeleuchtung eingeschaltet werden kann, wo die Waschmaschine zu finden wĂ€re etc.Das in NĂ€he zum Bad vorhandene Doppelbett war sehr schmal und die BettwĂ€sche zwar sauber und frisch, jedoch wie die ganze Villa etwas in die Jahre gekommen.Luxuriös geht anders aber wenn man an das Haus nicht zu hohe AnsprĂŒche stellt, kann man durchaus tolle Ferien dort verbringen.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr gut. Die erste Anfahrt war etwas kompliziert, da wir einfach mit Google Maps zur Villa gefahren sind. Google hatte nicht die beste Weg- und Strassenwahl. La villa merece la pena por su ubicaciĂłn. La orientaciĂłn que tiene es perfecta. Es impresionante la vista que tiene, la panorĂĄmica hacia el horizonte, donde se confunde el cielo con el mar. Totalmente privada. Nadie puede molestar ni ver lo que haces dentro de la propiedad. La recomiendo. Es EXCELENTE!!.

Prachtige plek, heel fijn huis met super uitzicht. Top zwembad. Het huis ligt op een berg dus je moet daar natuurlijk wel naartoe...deels over smalle onverharde paden. Even oefenen maar het is alle moeite waard! Onze drie pubers hebben ook genoten.

Ruhe und Erholung pur

Die Bilder entsprechenden komplett der RealitĂ€t. Das Haus ist sehr schön und sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Pool und die Aussicht auf das Meer sind traumhaft und lĂ€dt zur Erholung und Entspannung ein. Das Objekt wĂŒrden wir auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

A remarkable experience - on top of the world

The journey up to this villa is definitely different! I have read some reviews that say you need a high vehicle but our class A hire car seemed to cope fine - up and down many times over 2 weeks. And no claim on our deposit from Malaga Cars when we took it back :-) But yes, the journey up is an experience and we realised later that it was actually all part and parcel of what makes this place so special. If you want to get away from it all - THIS IS IT!!! And when we arrived we were met with the most incredible view unmatched by anything we have seen before. You're so high up, so 'away from it all' and yet so connected because you can see the shimmering lights of Torres and Malaga below. It really is the strangest and most unique experience. I think on our 2nd or 3rd evening the cloud came in. But it was at the same level as the infinity pool. Anyway, it was remarkable. We had clear evening skies above and could not see anything of the sea and towns below. The cloud simply extended from the pool. Weird!!! My wife did some yoga positions on the edge of the pool and the photos look like she's on the clouds - MAD! There were other times on our holiday when the cloud was there during the day but again it was below us, we were still basking in the hot sun when all below were under cloud. In terms of practicalities it was all good - at the end of the day it's a great villa, modern functionality with traditional design and the BEST traditional style BBQ. I cooked on it virtually every night. I think there are some things about the villa which could be improved for us 'city folk' like may be a dish washer or better instructions on how to use the washing machine (all the dials are in German) - but hey ho. To sit on top of that mountain, bask in the sunshine, enjoy a magical pool (I'd never really experienced an infinity pool before) and simply soak it all up was worth every penny. We will definitely be returning to escape...

The real "BalcĂłn de Europa"

This property is an amazing place, situated high above the surrounding hills and with a panoramic view ranging from the mountains in the north all along the coast line to beyond Nerja in the east. Having read previous reviews, we rented a small 4WD vehicle, which proved useful for the steep and curvy upper part of the access road, but it's all very manageable. We stayed for two weeks with our teenage children and spent a lot of time around the well-maintained pool, the grill, and on the two terraces below the house. The place is so tranquil that in the evening the only sounds are those of swallows passing by. We discovered a few nice and calm beaches that are good for swimming and snorkeling (our favorite was El Canuelo behind Nerja, a good 30 min away by car) and the mountains behind Competa were good for a few early morning hikes. Overall: highly recommended!

Well if its peace, tranquillity and total relaxation you are seeking for your holiday then this is ultimately the right place for you. After arriving on the late flight at Malaga Airport with my family we picked up our hire car and made off for Sayalonga. After approximately 40 minutes, we arrived at the bottom of the mountain La' Rabita in Sayalaonga where we were met by the property manager Jan. After an 8 minute trek to the top of the mountain we arrived at the Villa. Before we set foot into the Villa we went and checked out the pool terrace. To say the views were spectacular is an understatement. Completely Panoramic of the surrounding mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. The Villa was well equipped with satellite TV and Wifi. It had a large open plan kitchen and a nice dinning area and lounge. The over all standard of the Villa was very nice and my guessing would be that when the owner picked the furniture, it was not bought with rental in mind as the quality was excellent and my guessing expensive! The villa was overall very clean and in no way disappointing. We have stayed in many Spanish Villas over the years and this one was definitely all round the best. So to sum it up, if its Irish Bars, kebab shops and night clubs your after then this is not the place for you. On the other hand if its complete relaxation you seek and enjoy watching the Spanish sun set whilst enjoying a nice glass of wine with spectacular views then it doesn't get any better than this!!

A little piece of Spanish heaven

The mountain road to get to the villa was an exciting drive and I was glad I got a high wheeled vehicle to make the journey. But when I got there, boy was it worth it! The view was breathtaking and I loved the privacy of the villa, spending many evenings just watching the lights on the coast whilst enjoying a glass of wine. The villa was spacious and had everything I needed for a relaxing holiday and the pool was fabulous. Everything was clean and in working order and the pool man came regularly and the maintenance man was only a phone call away. The owner responded to my emails quickly and was able to answer questions about the local area and the best places to eat etc etc. which I found really helpful. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone looking for a tranquil or romantic Spanish holiday and will definitely be looking at going back again. The biggest attraction of the villa was the silence and being able to watch the mountain eagles soaring above you. There was a great market in the next village which sold fresh produce and wonderful little boutique shops down in Torrox costa. The balcon de Europa is a must see as well as the little winding alley ways around the area which really come alive at night when the locals "promenade", some in Spanish dress. The whitewashed village of Frigliana and the beaches of Nerja are superb as is Ayeos on the beach for fresh Paella. The wifi is great and there is satellite TV for when you finally tire of the view (which in my case was never!) It really is a wonderful place to stay and if you are looking for a peaceful retreat with the option of being able to find the crowds if you want to then Villa Lobos is the best choice you can make. I LOVED it and didnt want to come home

Great views, very quiet but slightly lacking.

A slightly disappointing arrival, where the agent didn't turn up leaving us making calls back to UK owners to sort being met and taken to the villa..... Trip up the winding road was an advernture, it's of course very high at the top of a peak, so great and uninteruppted views, but previous reviewers are right, you will need a high wheel base car....we ripped the bottom off our hire car on the unmade part of the road...more to do with silly reversing and a low to ground car though.....it's hairy but do-able. The villa is very large and spacious, but we found it lacking in some key areas....only enough basic mismatched bed linen for one room, with two bath towels....had to make calls for other towels for the pool etc, as two basic bath towels for showering and using at the pool was really inadequate. The villa had a feel of being mothballed for low season. It felt like we arrived unexpectedly, as the pool was not clean, the pool area was not made up, we had to rummage in the garage for lounger cushions and clean the pool ourselves for first use. The pool cushions really need to be replaced. The pool is an infinity, marketed as such....but the water is very low and cannot be topped up locally, as it needs a delivery - and this is probably only for guests high season, so it was a slight let down....that and the pool not being in tip top condition upin arrival. It has most things you will need.....no diswasher and a small sink and low water pressure, so a bigger group might struggle to self cater easily. Rooms are very spartan, which is often the case in some rental villas...we had elderly family who live locally come for a dinner and sleepover for one night,- but the poor bed linen eventually provided drove them to change their mind and head home at the end of the evening. Overall, spacious - great views, good wi-fi and satellite telly, enough room for a group of six...but we feel the owners need to manage their local agent and the guest experience better.

An Andalucian splendor

We had the best vacation at "Villa Lobos" - the villa holds everything the add promises and the views are spectacular! We really enjoyed the traquility, the privacy and the well equipped house. We missed nothing and were able to disconnect from the world (apart from the occasional mail and Facebook update as the house also has wifi)...the kids loved the pool and the outdoor shower on the terrace... The caretakers are extremely helpful and dedicated, and they made us feel welcome and at home right away - they made a point of being available, without intruding and always just a quick phonecall way. I can nothing if not reccommend this villa to anyone who wants to get away and relax. Even though the road to the house is a bit bumpy it's well worth it! We are surely coming back...

A fantastically Relaxing holiday

We have just returned from a lovely week on top of the world. When we first arrived the trip up to the villa with the manager was interesting to say the least, and I was a little scared!! However, it was definitely worth the short car journey from the village, and you soon get used to the roads around the villa. I would recommend a four wheel drive or definitely a high wheel based car. The villa itself is in the most amazing position and with views to die for. We had the best weeks relaxation I can ever remember. The Villa is secluded and incredibly private, but only 25 mins drive to a big shopping centre. We got used to watching the swallows dipping into get a drink in the evenings from the pool, watching the bats, and the view of the stars and milky were amazing. What more do you need than a good book , some wine and a lovely view!! The pool is great and our kids had a great time. We can't wait to go back.

Get away from it all

We have stayed at casa Lobos 3 times over the last 2 years and cant wait to go back again. The views from the pool and the terrace are out of this world I think you may even be able to see Gibralta on a good day. The Vila is very nice with loads of space and everything you will need for a holliday break. It is situated back from the coast a few kilometres and you will need a car to get around but it is well worth it. Visit Competa, back in the mountains its lovely and the Bodeega, for a meal in the evening " Great fun ". If you are looking for Night clubs, and all night bars? this is not for you! But if you are looking for a " Holliday " stock up with food and drink sit back and enjoy. This is a place that is SPAIN. Have fun and enjoy.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

It is set in a wonderful location, at the very top of a mountain! It has amazing views and we love relaxing by the pool and using the BBQ and eating outdoors. We take time away from the villa by going to the beach at Torre Delmar, or a stroll in Nerja for Ice creams. The children spend hours swimming and playing. It takes us back to nature which is important for us as we live busy lives in a British city. The villa is very confortable and has a lovely lay-out. We love sitting by the terrace or goig for local walks picking figs from the trees. We hope the villa brings joys to guests as much as it brings to us.

It is very private, no neighbours looking in and we have the services of a Property Manager who lives locally.
If you love peaceful surroundings, fresh air, stunning sunsets, Casa Lobos would be a great place to soak in some sun.
The local village is great for family meals out. Very affordable and excellent quality.
