Fantastic Family Getaway

This house was the perfect retreat for our mini family reunion. My daugter was so grateful for the pack and play, stoller, and toddler friendly dishes. When we weren't at the beach, we enjoyed sitting out on the back deck, relaxing in the hammock, feeding the turtles, and playing games around the table. The showers downstairs were nice for rinsing off after the beach and our granddaughter enjoyed some of the beach toys available. We also used the pier passes to catch a couple of sunrises/sunsets.

So close to beach

Our family had a great time despite hurricane Debbie’s rain and wind everyday. We managed to catch some cloudy breaks a few days enough to enjoy the beach. The short walk to beach and pier with the beach cart was my favorite part. We were also able to take a few walks on the beach at night. We also loved the balcony views of canal and saw lots of turtles and jumping fish. You can see the sounds side and the ocean from the back of house also. We dined at Watermen’s. It was pretty good with a nice view of sound side and pier you can walk out on. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Stat in Rodanthe

The pictures were accurate. House was clean. Host was responsive. The location was good. Not much was updated, but everything worked. The double deck in back is undersold by the pics. You can see the ocean and the sound from the top level. Walking to the beach was easy (~10 min with young kids/gear). Drive there in 1 minute with a complimentary parking pass. We like the area, despite the erosion on the beach and some shops being closed down. We had a great week. There was some toddler gear- a high chair and a baby gate and a pack'n'play stashed in one bedroom closet. However, if you're coming with smaller kids, the house isn't thoroughly toddler proof. Watch for loose posts on the deck railings, and wiley screws sticking up here or there.

Beach escape

This house was perfect, clean, comfortable a super short walk to beach and fishing pier. Melanie was easy to communicate with and responded close to immediately. We will definitely rent Rodanthe dayz again

So much fun!

The house perfectly fit our needs. It was very clean and the beds were comfy. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils, dishes, skillets, etc. The included pier passes are great! We hope to stay here again.

Perfect!

The house was perfect! Kitchen fully stocked, comfortable beds and great location. We walked to the pier nightly. Our 4 year old enjoyed the arcade at the pier. The house has a fenced in yard in back which is good for the littles to play in yard safety. Under the house has good hangout spot. The added bathroom on ground floor was nice to have. A wonderful stay overall. Excited to go back next year.

Great Location

This house was perfect for us. The location near the pier and places to eat. We really enjoyed the view from the back decks. We could watch the fish in the pond and enjoyed a bit of fishing. Our bed was comfortable and the kitchen was great with wonderful windows all over the top floor. We will return.

Great Vacation

This was our third year staying at Rodanthe Daze, and we had a wonderful time. The location of this property is just perfect for us since we like to fish off the pier and at the Salvo Day Use Area. Melanie is a very responsive owner, and we just love our time at her house!

Fantastic Location

Perfect size with my husband and I, daughter, husband and 2 1/2, 5 yr olds, son and wife. Bunk bedroom is on second floor with living area, kitchen away from other bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen. High Chair! Great cart provided to haul items short walk to beach. 2 outdoor showers. Loved having pier passes! Pier staff helpful outfitting old rod and reel. Fun watching/feeding turtles and “flying” fish in pond(?) behind property. Ice cream (Ocean Gourmet and gifts-have kid size!), seafood (order steamed shrimp at Alex’s, Austin’s is great-scallops, shrimp, flounder, tuna steaks they vacuum packed to bring home but closed Sat/Sun), other necessities (Dollar General) all within very short distance. Walk across to restaurants, entertainment. Wonderful week!! Thank you Melanie.

Great choice for family vacation in outer banks

This is our first outer banks family vacation. We choose staying in the south part because it is more natural and less commercial. It fit our needs pretty well. The house is maintained well, has most of utilities for a family (nice kitchen and bedrooms, washing and dryer are powerful), convenient to the beach, there is a river at the back of the house where you can see many turtles. We got a little inconvenient during checking in, we contacted the owner and got response pretty quick, the owner refunded us the cleaning fee due to checkin delay. The TV is hard to mange, we spent time to try to figure out, but then give up. The internet speed is good, we just use our iphone and iPAD instead of TV during our free time. Overall we had a great time in outer banks and surround area. If we visit outer banks next time, we will definitely consider this place.

Great for Families!!

We really enjoyed this house and its location. The waterway behind the house had the sweetest turtles in itâ€ŠđŸąâ€ïž Melanie was quickly responsive to any/all communication. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house with everything you could need!

We loved the house. Well stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen and for the beach. Kids loved the kayaks, adults loved the beautiful views from the balconies! Will definitely be coming back!

Amazing

Or second year at this property did not disappoint. The weather was perfect, the fishing was great, and good times were had at the Tiki Bar! We love staying at Rodanthe Daze and will be back again for sure.

Excellent property

Rodanthe days is a wonderful property. It is literally a 3 minute walk to the ocean in one direction and a three minute walk to the bay in the other direction. Sunrise and sunsets. The property has 2 kyaks which we made use of,along with a beach wagon to haul stuff to the beach. The house was spotless, a tv in every room,but the remotes were a bit confusing. The kitchen is well equipped, the tiki bar is a great hangout spot,especially after using the smoker/grill. Would definitely return to this property. The host is very acomidating and responded to any questions I had within a very short time.
