This 6 bedroom, 5.5 bathroom rental just steps away from the ocean and a short drive away from great local restaurants and businesses. This Rodanthe rental also features a private pool and hot tub for when you've had enough of the beach and just want to relax at home. Need to get out of the sun completely? Head to the rec room complete with shuffleboard table and kitchenette! It's the perfect space to relax and cool off.

Upstairs at Waves Against the Machine, the open living area has plenty of seating for your whole group. This Outer Banks rental also makes it easy for you to prepare meals during your stay in the kitchen featuring a carafe coffee maker, blender, air fryer, and plenty of counter space. The breakfast bar features seating for 3 and the dining room table has seating for 8 so there's plenty of space for the whole group. When you need some fresh air, head to the furnished sun deck and take in the beautiful sunsets over the sound. Each bedroom at Waves Against the Machine has a flat-screen TV and plenty of space to stretch out and rest up during your vacation.

Rodanthe visit

The property was pleasant and well kept. We enjoyed the house, wish there was sand for the table shuffle board and also we had no sheets on the bed our first night, but everything else was great. Our dogs were able to stay with us and that was wonderful.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house had plenty of space for everyone, and the pool and shuffleboard table were both a big hit.We especially liked the location. It was very quiet and peaceful with almost no through traffic. We’ve stayed up and down the Outer Banks and tried several different towns, and this was a great balance. It’s close enough to the more populated areas to make a quick run for groceries or whatever else you need, but far enough away to still feel isolated. There was also enough nearby for our teens to have some independence, whether biking around, walking for ice cream, or just exploring.We experienced an issue related to some unusually severe weather during our stay, and both the property manager and homeowner responded very promptly and went above and beyond to address it. We really appreciated how responsive and accommodating they were.There were plenty of mosquitoes and we had our share of unpredictable weather, but that’s the Outer Banks this time of year. If you don’t want to deal with the possibility of either, you’re probably not cut out for the OBX. It’s part of the charm!Overall, a great stay and a location we’d happily return to.

Summer Fun

The house was very well equipped in the kitchen, the 3 larger bedrooms had their own bathrooms, downstairs was equipped with a refrigerator which was great for coming inside on 1st level from the pool for a cold beverage. Kid friendly and dog friendly. Very clean and very fast response from Resort Realty(management) concerning an issue with 1st and 2nd level AC. Until the AC company could come out the next day to repair the issue they came with window units for each bedroom on level 2. We didn’t need them in the ground level bedrooms because they were not being used at the time. Just a great house great staff and great management!!! Thumbs up all the way around!
