The space was clean. The bed was comfortable. The location is convenient. The host was responsive, However, there were no instructions in the unit. We were scheduled to stay on the 2nd floor and were told, last minute, there was an issue with the booking along with asking us to check in at 5pm. Since we had few choices and this had been planned for months, we agreed. This appears to be a converted garage and you can hear everything that happens above. The water in the toilet didn’t refill if the upstairs flushed before the downstairs. The kitchen doesn’t have a dishwasher and the refrigerator door opens away from the wall. Since there’s a table this is awkward. The futon is the only furniture in the “living room” and it’s very uncomfortable. The fan in the living room only works if the light is on, which isn’t convenient for sleeping. The window ac is noisy! There are few outlets and only one lamp in the bedroom. There aren’t any hooks in the bathroom and limited space. Parking was extremely inconvenient. We had to park half on the sidewalk and half on the street. We arrived on trash day and parking was at a premium. Please understand we’re used to dedicated parking and this was a hassle. If you’re sleeping and showering, it’s a decent space. Since this was our first trip to CT, I’m unsure if our experience is normal.
