This cottage was an absolutely perfect place to spend our vacation in Little Compton. The cottage was lovely, clean and private with a nice, screened-in porch. The outside terrace overlooking the farm and cows was a great place for us to use the new grill (which worked really well) and have a peaceful dinner. Thanks to our hosts, Rebecca and her family, we were made to feel so welcomed and had a wonderful time in these beautiful surrounding!
Thank you, Rosanne and George. It was wonderful to meet you both, and I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. You were great guests and I appreciate your thoughtfulness. Rebecca

place was lovely, quiet and bed was very comfortableâŠa bit too far to stay from Newport at 45 minutesâŠalso not easy to find at night..I recommend firt day checking in during daylight hours âŠquite a bit of dust under the bed..could have been cleanerâŠbut overall I was satisfiedâŠjust wonât rebook for any Newport events
We were visiting friends in LC just a couple miles down the road. This cottage was extraordinary even for the four of us which included my wife and I plus my two teenage kids. We enjoyed the outdoor space and the beautiful views. The cottage does not advertise sleeping arrangements for 4 but we made it work so glad we found this little gem. Rebecca was very nice and welcoming and we hope to come back again!
Just finished 3 glorious days at Rebeccaâs farm on the Sakonnet River. The setting is astounding, with sweeping water views, beautiful woods and plantings, and rolling fields with grazing cows. It is idyllic. The cottage is very comfortable overall, including the bed, and sufficient for two people with a charming screened side porch, large stone patio facing the river, and foyer areas for storage. An eclectic assortment of books is available for guests to peruse. Rebecca and her family are very welcoming, helpful, easily available as needed, and also unintrusive. We were sad to leave and would happily return for another stay.
This was a relaxing and beautiful property to stay at while visiting Rhode Island. Not many place left like this in Rhode Island. Little Compton is a quiet and peaceful area with easy access to Newport, Beaches and Providence. I had to work at points and the internet was reliable for video conferences, etc. This property is separate from the main house of the owners and offers a beautiful view of the water. Thereâs a nice screened in porch, a piano, a kitchenette, queen size bed. It was very peaceful. Excellent writers retreat or spot for rest.
This country cottage is absolutely perfect! The property is BEAUTIFUL, with lots of open, green space, cows grazing in the pasture, and a lovely, private spot on the bay just a short walk away. Thereâs plenty of room in the cottage itself, including a screened room as well as a patio with a grill and a deck around the back. The kitchen had everything I needed, and Rebecca had thoughtfully arranged fresh flowers in several places throughout the cottageâŠsuch a wonderful touch! And in case anyone is wondering: the bed is extremely comfortable with lots of pillows!!! I was in the area for a remembrance of my sonâs passing, and I had several events at the Naval Base in Newport during my three nights stay. The drive is very scenic, and the cottage was close enough that I could return there to change clothes or take a little break before returning to Newport. In other words, a convenient location away from traffic and noise of the city. I couldnât have asked for a better host than Rebecca. I treasure her kindness and compassion during an emotional weekend, and I appreciate the time she spent listening and sharing with me. She is truly a remarkable lady! To close, I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone seeking a peaceful, quiet, and gorgeous location in the country. It is, indeed, perfect!
Laurie was a wonderful guest! Thoughtful, friendly, appreciative. I hope she can return and highly recommend her to other hosts. It it was a privilege to come to know her!
