Great place to stay if you are looking for a cozy spot for a fair price! The host is VERY responsive and quick to answer any questions/inquiries you may have. I recommend this place to any and all!

The property location was amazing. It was two blocks from the 96 Street Subway. For someone who just had double hip surgery I would’ve appreciated them stating on the ad that there is four flights of stairs and no elevator. That is something that needs to be put on the ad, especially people with handicap that cannot walk up for flights of stairs every day the apartment itself was clean. The only problem I had inside was they had a squishy bathmat in the shower that is completely unhygienic. That should not be in a rental property and they also could use a curtain on the bathroom window so the neighborhood doesn’t watch you go to the bathroom. The only reason I would not stay there again is the stairs.

The apartment is on the 4th floor, which is not mentioned in the property description at all. I didn’t know that it was on the 4th floor until I received the apartment address a few days before my arrival, which is far too late to cancel without penalty. I consider that a deceptive business practice. There is no curtain in the bathroom and the shower curtain does not cover the entire floor-to- ceiling window. There is no thermostat in the apartment. The heating system is controlled by the building manager and was not turned on. Fortunately, there was a small space heater, which took the edge off the cold. The apartment’s owner was very responsive, although she wanted an awful lot of information: a picture of my drivers license, a picture of me holding my drivers license, and the name and email address of anyone who was going to be visiting. I’ve used VRBO for at least 15 years and have never been asked for so much information. The apartment was very clean and the mattress was quite comfortable.

Everything was decent. Only physical problem was the bathroom sink which leaked water when turned on. The large bathroom window does not have a curtain, but can be mostly covered with the shower curtain. For anyone hoping to drop off luggage before check in, know that we had to wait until 2:00 pm to do so.

This unit is decently upgraded with a small kitchenette and it is perfect for 1 or 2 people. It is 1 1/2 blocks from the Q subway which makes getting anywhere in the city and area a breeze.Problem # 1- the unit is on the 4th floor- I did not inquire about this and so it is partially my bad. For a young person looking for exercise it is great/ for an old man with leg problems it is a pain- especially when trying to get heavy luggage up and down.#2- there is a ring of mold on the intersection of the tub/ tile- it looks and is real bad. Bath sink faucet loose and leaking- bins are in the vanity below and filling with water.#3- TV is hard to figure out- sports and news hard to find- I finally did but it seems convoluted.#4- Front door key does not work very well. To get the key you have to open a lockbox attached to the fence- there are 5 others- all have no ID.# 5- App to get code for lockbox did not work- when I arrived. Finally the code was texted. Way too much communication- never seen this much for a VBRO.Finally, I just read a note about whether or not there is a smoke detector in the unit- there is in the main room on the wall around 1' below the ceiling. No Co2 detector needed on a 5th floor unit with boiler in the basement.
