Cefn Pawl is a spacious yet cosy cottage sleeping 7.

Cefn Pawl is situated high up on the hillside in its own natural setting. Surrounded by trees it commands panoramic views over protective crown commission land grazed by sheep and horses.

The cottage is fully equipped with a washing machine, microwave, dishwasher, Sky TV, and complete WiFI across the property.

Well behaved dogs are welcome.

In the stunning Welsh Borders - formally known as Radnorshire - you will find beauty and tranquillity mixed with surprises. Cefn Pawl is a secluded oasis in the middle of wide open spaces with generous accommodation. Here is the perfect place for total relaxation, an ideal base from which to enjoy hill walking or cycling across the rough pastoral landscape and to explore the sights of historic Wales.

Cefn Pawl is a warm, cosy and comfortable cottage suited for family farm holidays, celebrations, small group workshops or retreats. The cottage is big enough to accommodate 2 families. It is ideally located for walkers and anybody who loves the beauty of nature in all seasons.

Fantastic rural cottageWe wanted somewhere pet friendly and quiet to take a short break and this place ticked all the boxes. Lovely big garden with firepit. Cottage itself is rustic and traditional Welsh. It was overall clean and tidy but did have some cobwebs in places - to be expected due to location and age however, certainly not a problem! Very quiet and secluded. No neighbors other than sheep.Host very friendly and lovely to talk to when she called to make sure we had got in ok on check in. Only thing I would suggest to improve the place would be to fit some pull down blinds or other covers to the skylights in the bedroom - they did make it very bright come dawn and a light-sensitive sleeper would be put out by it I suspect. Overall very happy with the trip - We will be back one day no doubt.

Fantastic hideaway cottage to get away from all the noise of cities. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had a lovely time and a well needed break in the countryside in this cottage. It has rustic charm and all the mod cons needed for a fantastic stay. It's location is quiet and secluded which we loved and the town of Knighton a short drive away which we visited twice during our 3 night stay. You can have a walk straight out of the cottage into the countryside with wild horses near by. The kids and our dog loved the garden and the tree swing was a bonus! The big kids loved the fires inside and out, which made it cozy and welcoming inside and warm outside to enjoy the outdoors for longer.Angelika checked we were okay when we arrived and before we left, which was really appreciated and we knew she would help if we needed anything.Thank you again for a wonderful time, we will be booking again very soon! Xx

The cottage was as described; large & in a lovely secluded location, with a large shady garden perfect for the hot weather & dog. Accommodated my last minute stayUnfortunately needs work inside;Velux roof windows unable to open and no blinds on any of them over beds.Toaster set off smoke alarm with first use due to so much crumbs left inside unemptiedMat by toilet unclean & strong smell urineMop used to clean floor before my arrival smelt bad so I left it outside all weekShower drain very blocked, tray fills when usingSofa & chairs & cushions need washing / replacing, I used my own throw to sit on as they felt very sticky & dirtyThankfully I took my own bedding as it was hot, the bedding there was very used & tired, piece of old foam on top of mattress, no mattress protector, just a thin stained bottom sheet. Uncleaned around bedEvery door felt dirty, & kitchen cupboards, kitchen drawers messy & under sink a tip.Fridge filled with water in bottom where the drawer was missingDishwasher was a bonusI'm sorry to write this I realise people have different standards but some time & money needs to be spent on this property if you are renting it out. It was not last minute small issues that had been missed. I needed a break & did enjoy the privacy & garden

Our few days away at the cottage were so refreshing, the isolation is unbeatable.The cottage was dated as can be seen on the photos but that's why I chose it it's oldie worldi and exactly what I wanted and expected from the listing.The beds were so comfortable and the cottage was warm we can't think of anything missing at all.we did some walks saw great wildlife and barely saw a person Really sad to leave it was just so lovely would love to come back in summer

Rural location

We had a relaxing stay with our dogs who loved tbe garden and the walks from the cottage.We had the perfect weather so when we were not out and about we could sit in the garden and watch the sheep.

Charming old cottage - perfectly peaceful

We enjoyed our stay, the cottage is very spacious, full of character and has everything needed for a relaxing stay. The grounds and setting are gorgeous, our dog loved playing in the very large secure garden and enjoyed lovely walks in the surrounding area. The welcome pack was very much appreciated and Angelica was a very attentive host.

The cottage used to be our family holiday cottage . After my retirement we refurbished it completely to turn it into holiday rental.

The cottage is in a lovely natural location and is ideal for relaxing, walking, bird watching, star gazing and exploring the sites of Wales. Cefn Pawl is very popular with guests with many returning again and again .

If you want to be close to nature and and love tranquillity, this cottage is perfect. The secluded garden is a great space for kids to play in. And for the whole family there is a friendly pub which serves delicious food in the nearby village.
