Filthy. Horrible mildew smell. The washer and dryer are located in the basement that has standing water. Nasty bedding laundry on the filthy floor. The entire house reeks of mildew, which stays in your hair and clothing. Kitchen is not well stocked. Floors were not swept. We read a precious review (there were none when we booked but VRBO stated there were high reviews on other platforms) that mentioned the tub and smells in the home. I asked the owner. We were told the bathtub was getting resealed prior to our arrival. Nope. The patio furniture was not usable. Garbage was outside in the patio area. One room had garbage on the nightstand at check in. The property is VERY worn. The sofa bed is filthy. There were empty bottle caps and garbage under the cushions. We reached out for instructions for check in and check out. We got a prompt reply for check in with just our code to check in. We booked for two nights for our family of six. I specifically asked of the property had a strong mildew odor due to our adult daughter having asthma. I got no response. Too late to cancel. We arrived late after a family wedding. We survived the extremely strong mildew odor long enough to sleep and leave the house to meet family in the morning. Returned later in the day to grab our belongings and was nearly knocked over by mildew odor. We left after one night or (8 hours) and notified the owner. We requested a partial refund and have not heard back from them. Book at your own risk.
