Tropea great sea view villa, air conditioned one bedroom

It is a pretty villa, relaxing and with great sea views of Tropea's sea and Eolie's islands. This stylish villa very new and includes full air conditioning, a smart and well-equipped kitchen with a sofa bed for 2, one shower room, one bedroom and one comfortable sofa bed for two persons. Fireplace. There are 1000mq of panoramic gardens with area bbq, infinity pool, wood-burning brick oven 'PIZZA', one solarium, and sunbed. The location is quiet and very near the centre and the sea, with all amenities within a short walk. The sea from the villa is just a 15-minute walk and the centre is 10 minutes walk. From the harbour of Tropea, there is a ship every day to the Eolies'island. There is parking below the villa but a car is not necessary to see all that Tropea offers. In all, this is an excellent, central, family holiday villa, and we have many testimonials - please ask. Airport Transfers cost 80€ and basic grocery packs (at cost) may be provided by arrangement. The proprietor owns an estate agency called Immobiliare Buttafuoco, if you want to buy properties in Tropea he will help you.

Rules of the property
On the day of check-in, customers must pay the tourist tax of 1.50 euros per person per day. Children under 12 do not pay tourist tax.

The opening hours of the swimming pool are from 9:30 A.M. to 13:30 P.M. and from 15:00 P.M. to 20:00 P.M.

Nice little villa with sea view in well maintained resort

We had a very good time at Borgo Panoramico in walking distance to Tropea. The region offers many opportunities for sight seeing and other activities. The manager Cristian was very friendly and supportive. We highly recommend this villa as nice holuday location.

Sweet appartement with a very pleasent landlord

We had a very pleasant holiday in Tropea – not at last thanks to the small but charming apartment and its surroundings. It was a pleasure taking lunch in the sunny garden enjoying the beautiful view over the Mediterranean see, which we also enjoyed from the sunny and spacious roof terrace. The apartment itself and its equipment was as described and although a little bit outside of Tropea it was just a 15 minutes foot walk from the center of the town to the uphill located apartment. The kitchen was functional with its additional tiny electrical oven and the heating and the air condition helps us to stay warm even in slightly cold evenings and nights in the late March and early April. Also the shower worked well and thankfully the water temperature stays constant during the shower. The bed was a French one and with 140 cm width comfortable enough. What makes our stay become a special highlight was the extraordinary but modest kindness and helpfulness of the owner and our landlord Cristian Buttafuoco and his whole family, who enriched our stay not only with tips and hints but also with sweet and tasty examples from the kitchen of his mother or grandmother. All in all we can recommend this apartment and its landlord-family without limitation: Grazie mille Cristian!

Pour TropĂ©a, vous n'avez pas le coup de foudre;c'est une vile qui se laisse aimer un peu plus chaque jour. Il faut lever la tĂȘte, essayer de nouer des contacts avec les autochtaunes, et ils vous le rendrons: Angelo le poissonnier qui va avaler un chipiron pour vous faire voir qu'il est bon, au grands dĂ©sespoir de sa femme qui hausse les Ă©paules; Qui vous laisse choisir les meilleurs morceaux de thon rouge( hum qu'il Ă©tait bon ! ) La boulangĂšre qui vous rajoute dans le sac du pain une petite pizza La marchande de lĂ©gumes qui vous met dans le sac une dizaine de piments ETC Mais il faut bien parler de Cristian et de ses parents, sinon le bilan resterait morose. Cristian prĂ©sent en permanence pour vous aider Ă  passer un bon sĂ©jour. Sa maman qui vous donne un peu ( beaucoup ) de son rizzoto, une bouteille de son limoncello ( citrons du jardin ) ou qui vous Ă©pluche des figues de barbaries. Tout ça dans un environnement de citronniers de cĂ©dratiers et de bougainvilliers, face Ă  la mer et le port de TropĂ©a. Il y a quand mĂȘme du nĂ©gatif...le prix des carburants ouille ouille ouille ! Merci Cristian pour ta gentillesse et j'espĂšre que l'on se reverra bientĂŽt, tu vois ce que je veux dire??? Anie et Christian

Back for a return stay!

We love Tropea and this is our second time staying on this property. Cristian and his family live on the property, he greets you on arrival, and he is available and helpful with all your needs. Since our last stay 4 years ago, many improvements have been made, especially the road to this beautiful villa with an amazing view. There are several choices for acommodations for couples or families. If you have a vehicle it is helpful, and there is parking on the property. We love the town of Tropea, lots of great restaurants and beautiful beaches. A very vibrant nightlife and in September the Blues Festival with music and dancing in the Piazza at night! If you stay at this property, you will not be disappointed. Thanks Cristian, We will always come back!♄

Beautiful property.....well maintained grounds, very clean, quiet. After a day at the beach, we would come back to a quiet and cool oasis far from the crowds. 5minute walk into town of Tropea and the beach. Highly recommend this property....

Beautiful and very well maintained!

My husband and I were in Tropea for 8 nights at this beautiful separate apartment within the villa. We totally enjoyed every moment spent there as it was clean and comfortable inside, with several outdoor areas for sitting and enjoying the beautiful weather and views, along with an amazing swimming pool. Cristian is a wonderful and welcoming host, along with his lovely family who also live on the property. It had everything we needed for the way we like to travel - staying in one location for several days, enjoying being able to have leisurely mornings, cook our own breakfast, and explore the surrounding areas on some day trips, taking relaxing beach days in between. There a washing machine in the apartment, which is perfect since we like to pack light when we travel. Tropea has several excellent restaurants and beautiful beaches to enjoy and Cristian was wonderful about giving us good recommendations for both. Since the location is high above the town, it is peaceful and quiet, especially when we were there during a Blues Festival, we could not hear the loud music on the nights that we chose to not go into town. However, you absolutely need a car to get to and from the villa, but just need to park at the bottom of the road and take a short walk into town, therefore avoiding the search for parking in the main part of town. You can drive right to the beach in 5 minutes, and there is lots of parking close by. This apartment was perfect for a couple, but there are also larger apartments on the property for families. I would definitely recommend this property if you are staying in Tropea and have a car. Thank you Cristian for your hospitality. We hope to come back to Tropea one day and even bring family to enjoy your beautiful location! Ciao!

Beautiful Location

We, as a couple, spend a very relaxing week in Christians Appartement in Tropea. The appartement is located a ca. 15 min. walk from the center of Tropea which makes it very calm and peaceful with a stunning view of the sea and the Stromboli. The appartement is also very well secured with its own electric gate to the property. Although the train station is in walking distance, I would recommend a rental car to explore other beautiful spots of Kalabria, e.g., the very stunning view at the Cap Vaticano. However, if you want to stay in Tropea during your holiday, a car is not needed since everything is in walking distance, including a beauftiful beach. I have to mention the amazing garden, which Christian's father is taking care of very well. It's even nicer than on the photos and we were grateful for the many shady spots where we enjoyed breakfast. Christian is an amazing host and was very helpful and friendly during the whole time. There is another guesthouse on the property which he takes care of and he came around almost everyday to make sure everything is ok. Thanks a lot!

Amazing....Fantastic!

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending our 25th wedding anniversary at this amazing villa. It was just as we had hoped it would be! Relaxing, quiet, beautiful! Christian and his family were amazing hosts. They were easy to talk to, explained great places to eat, beaches to go to, where to shop. We did rent a car to get around town and to sight see which we were grateful we had. After eating at the wonderful restaurants in Tropea the walk up the hill would have been to much! We did cook some meals in the villa and had everything we needed. The added washing machine was a great help as we were able to return home with no dirty laundry. Thank you so much Christian and your family for making our stay "Perfecto".

Peaceful setting

We stayed at Cristian's villa for 7 nights. We found the accommodation comfortable and clean. The villa is set in beautiful gardens with a view out to sea. There is plenty of garden furniture to enable you to sit and eat outside. Cristian was able to advice us and where to eat in Tropea. Tropea is a beautiful town although we did find the driving a bit stressful. A car is not needed but there is an uphill walk back to the villa. Our trip to Stromboli to see the live volcano at sun set was the highlight and well worth going. The restaurants in Tropea are very good with so many to choose from.

Schöne Villa

Die Villa ist sehr komfortabel und gemĂŒtlich eingerichtet, fĂŒr 2 Personen sehr gerĂ€umig. Es gibt eine Zentralheizung und einen offenen Kamin (Das Holz war leider sehr nass). Die Villa ist sauber und entspricht der Beschreibung. Die Sonnenterasse liegt im Winter leider im Schatten. Die Straße stört nicht wirklich. Cristian ist sehr zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Die Stadt ist zu Fuß gut erreichbar.

Tranquiility

We have recently arrived back from a 10 night stay in Tropea. The setting for our accommodation couldn’t have been better. The views were amazing, and we were fortunate to see the volcanic island of Stromboli. Situated on the hilltop, you will find the surroundings very peaceful and sedative - ideal for siesta times. Our accommodation suited all our needs, it was clean, very comfortable and furnished tastefully, in which we couldn't fault anything at all. The owners live within the same area, and were extremely helpful, but never intrusive. The roof terrace is an excellent suntrap if you do not fancy the beaches, which there are many, and only 10 minutes away. I enjoyed staying here as I felt I was part of this little community on the hill. My husband and I are waiting for the flights to be released for May in order to book our trip back for next year. Well, as for Trope, what a gem. Having travelled around a fair bit of southern Italy, we were spoilt for choices of beaches & restaurants. The town is very pretty and laid back for which a car is not necessary. If you wish to venture out of the town, then places like Zambrone and Capo Vaticano are not too far away and have beautiful beaches too.

Perfect Location

Tropea in August is busy with seemingly all of Italy on holiday. This leads to a great, bustly and energetic atmosphere in town. The villa being just on the edge and overlooking the town is an oasis of calm. Just what you need after a night eating great food in the wonderful restaurants and mingling with locals and other holidaymakers in town over an after dinner drink. The villa is perfectly appointed with very welcome air conditioning. The terrace is great for sunbathing. The garden has grapes and lemons which the owner welcomes guests to pick and eat. We stayed for 3 weeks and didn't want to leave. The hosts, Christian, Anna and his family are superb and very friendly.

Perfect getaway

We had a fantastic holiday when we stayed in this villa. The gardens were great. We sat out most mornings and had our breakfast under the veranda. The air con worked really well and we were never too hot in the villa. The kitchen had everything you needed and we did eat in a few nights, but the restaurants in Tropea are fabulous. We went out for dinner most nights over our two week holiday and never went to the same place twice. There was so much variety. The beach and sea were perfect. We went to a few neighbouring towns, but we didn't think any were as nice as Tropea. Cristian, the owner, was very helpful. He lives in the house on the same plot of land, but he was only around if you needed something. In summary, great place to stay if you want to escape from it all. Kate and Jon.

Great little villa!

This pretty little villa stands next to the family house but is quite private. We loved it! It's right on a hillside a bit outside of the town, with stunning views across Tropea rooftops to the sea. We had a lovely, relaxing week here and thought it was fantastic value for money - the descriptions on this website are completely accurate and it's clean and well-equipped. Cristian was very welcoming and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed, even lending us a laptop for most of our stay. We especially enjoyed the large roof terrace - perfect for relaxing in the March sunshine, which it caught for most of the day. The gardens are pretty and we enjoyed the occasional company of the family's friendly little dog and cat. We had a car and were glad of it, as although only a 10-minute walk down the hill to the town, it's a bit of a slog back up again! And in any case, we wanted to explore other places in Calabria as well, and enjoyed some scenic drives to pretty medieval villages such as Nicotera and Pizzo (fab ice cream at the latter!). PERFECT LITTLE VILLA

We had a relaxing holiday in the well accomodated little villa with internet acces, sat TV, washing machine, good functioning heating, log fire, etc... From the roof terrace great views over the beautiful town of Tropea with a nice centro storico, restaurants, gelateria's, great beaches and amazing cristal clear blue sea. A perfect place ! We will surely go back.

La migliore vacanza in assoluto di sempre

Wonderfully located on top of a green hill, with a stunning, breathtaking view to Tropea and the sea, this property offers everything you might need to have a holiday of your dream: clean and cosy sitting room/kitchen and sleeping room, the garden with lemon and olive trees just in front of the doors and the open rooftop terrace for our private use. Cristian and his family gave a cordial, warm welcome to us to make ourselves at home. It was really the very best holiday we've ever had.

A little paradise

I am back home and I still think about this villetta where I spent two week - such a good and relaxing time! From the beginning I felt at home, I liked the apartment where I found everything I needed, Wifi included as I had to work a little (unfortunately, but it was much easier there than at home!), the garden, the roof terace, the view, the scent of roses and the blossoms of the olive tree in front of the door. I was particularly impressed by the discreet hospitality, cordiality and helpfulness of Christian, his mother and the other members of the owners family! All the people in Calabria I met and talked to were nice and friendly. So I was very sad that I had to leave. If you don't want to stay in an anonymous residence, if you prefer a private, individual and familiar ambience and atmosphere, it is the perfect place to stay for a holiday - even for a single female because you feel absolutely secure there. If I would visit Tropea again I'll come back, that's sure! Thanks a lot/Grazie mille per tutto!

Tropea Hillside Villa

This is a stand-alone villa beside the family house, located on a hillside with a distant view of the sea. The property represents good value for the money- large bedroom, good shower, washing machine, TV, and free Internet. You can sit out front or on the rooftop terrace. Christian and his father are very helpful. Christian's father drove us to the supermarket and to the train station on the final day. The property is a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of town and probably a half hour from the beach. Other than the beach, there's not a lot to do in Tropea, so I would probably recommend having a car to tour some of the other sites in Calabria.

Nice house, great hosts, beautiful panorama!

We spent one relaxing week in this lovely little house in the end of March. The house was very homely and clean, with everything we needed for self-catering holiday. The view from terrace was breathtaking, and fireplace was very nice during the evenings. Owners were very friendly and hospitable, we were really happy to taste Christian's mom`s cookings! I would defenately (and I will) recommend this property to our friends and family, and everyone seeking for a independent, relaxing holiday in great surroundings. Christian picked us up from the train station, and showed us places around. It was easy to walk to the beach, old town and market from the house, so you don't need a car during the vacation. The train station was near, (but didn't make any noise) so it's possible to make trips to the towns nearby (Scilla, Reggio di Calabria...) And I would also recommed to travel by train from Rome to Tropea, because the scenery is very beautiful along the coastline. I hope we`ll come back someday!

Great views, great hosts.

I just returned from nearly 5 weeks with the Buttafuoco family in Tropea. You cannot hope to meet more wonderful and generous people. The "Villa" itself is a bit small by American standards but the view makes up for any deficiency in size. The town is not geared for tourists in the winter months as most restaurants are closed as is the museum and most excursions. But for those, like myself, looking for the adventure of experiencing the local lifestyle or a relaxing no stress vacation, you'll love this "villa". I, like other reviewers, would recommend a car.

Lovely Little House

We spent 2,5 happy weeks in the little house of the Buttafuocco family. The house is small, but well-designed, and it has everything needed for two people. We were there in winter, and the house seemed like a nest, warm and welcoming, as the family was as well. We were spoiled with attention and were given homebaked cakes and other local delicacies. We'd love to come back and see the place in In summer, when the garden must be wonderfully shady, and the large roof terrace must we just great. We fully recommend it for a romantic holiday.

Beautyful Tropea

This is a plaesant house for 2 persons. New, with all comfort you wish, even a washingmachine. Very smart if you stay 2 weeks. When we got problems with our car, Cristian the owner helped us with everything, even playing for taxidriver. 10 minuts by foot there was the railwaystation, so we made trips to Pizzo, Scilla, Nicotea. Tropea is an old little town, with a beautiful "centro storico", many restaurants and gelaterias The beaches around are very special and clean blue water.

Very Nice Villa

We really liked staying at this villa. The villa was small but nice and clean, has got everything we wanted. View from the garden, overlooking Tropea town and Stromboli on the sea, was beautiful. Cristian (and his family)was very friendly and helpful. There is so much to do just in Tropea town, nice beach and retaurants, but when weather was not beachy we went on a round trip by car. Mountain villages as well as coastal towns are worth visiting although it was a long way drive! There are some full/half-day tours from from the Tropea port which sound good- We definately would like to come back for Aeolian Islands(volcano) day tour (which we missed this time), and stay here again! I recommend to have a fairly small car as you have to go through narrow roads to reach this villa, also you may have to park on a steep where turning might be a little difficult. (it's up to your driving skill though!)
