Our Heart's Desire – Charming 3 Bedroom Getaway with Hot Tub and Fireplace just minutes to Wisp Resort in Deep Creek Lake (Near Wisp Resort)

Welcome to Our Heart's Desire, your perfect mountain getaway nestled between the excitement of Wisp Ski Resort and the beauty of Deep Creek Lake. This charming vacation rental offers the best of both worlds—located just a short walk from the slopes and only minutes from shopping, dining, and lake activities. This beautifully appointed home features 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and central air for year-round comfort. The main floor boasts an inviting open-concept layout with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and a cozy living room complete with a fireplace and TV—perfect for gathering after a day of adventure.

Step outside to the deck where you'll find a gas grill and outdoor dining area, ideal for enjoying fresh mountain air. Upstairs, you'll find two comfortable bedrooms: one with a king bed and another with a full bed. The lower level includes one bedroom with a queen bed and another gathering room with a sleeper sofa and a desk area for those who may need to catch up on work or just enjoy a quiet space. Outside the lower level, unwind in the private hot tub after a day of fun. Whether you're hitting the slopes, exploring the lake, or simply relaxing with loved ones, Our Heart's Desire offers everything you need for a memorable and rejuvenating stay.

THIS HOME is not pet-friendly (undisclosed pet fee will be charged at 3x advertised pet fee). Maximum 2 parking spaces in front of home.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW: Minimum Age to Rent is 25 years old. Check-In is between 4 pm – 9 pm. Check-Out is by 10 am. Smoking/Vaping, Parties, Exceeding Max Occupancy or Pet Limit are not allowed.

WHAT TO BRING: Supplies are not provided; plan to bring all paper products, food/spices, coffee filters, trash bags, detergents, soaps, toiletries, household items, supplies and extra towels, if necessary. (Bed Sheets, Bath Towels, and Dishes are provided for max occupancy.)

WINTER RESERVATIONS: A 4WD vehicle is required to access rentals between November through April. Private driveways will not be snow-plowed unless and until there is 5 inches of snow.

RESERVATION PROCESS: (1) At time of booking- Electronically Sign the Rental Agreement to trigger your door codes and Pre-Arrival Information to be automatically sent. Door Codes will NOT be released without an e-signed agreement. (2) One day prior to arrival- You will receive Pre-Arrival Information that contains your door lock code, address and other important info. [If you do not receive it by noon that day, check your spam folder. If you still don't see it please call us directly to ensure a smooth check-in].

Three sisters weekend away!

Three bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths was perfect for a three sisters getaway! Kitchen, which was very well stocked, met all our needs. The hot tub was superb after hiking. Due to an unusually cool August week we made use of the gas fireplace in the evenings. The main level half bath was convenient.

Poor Experience

We had a really poor experience, and I wish I had a better understanding of the management of this property before booking. Gone are the days when you are renting directly from an individual you can communicate with. We had an issue with our dates and were unable to communicate with anyone, the VRBO/Vacasa relationship makes no one responsible or responsive. Automated messaging, no one responding - do not recommend it was a nightmare. I was very reasonable, I just didn't have real person respond.

Great Little House!

We loved the location, being so very close to Wisp, as well as other things in the area. The house was very cozy, yet had plenty of space for us (4 adults and 2 children) The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items and supplies for cleaning up. The Crock Pot was a bonus, as we were able to put chile in, in the morning and it was ready when we came back for lunch after several hours of skiing. The gas fireplace was perfect to warm up with, and I especially liked the little added little touch of battery operated candles, which were on timers that came on each evening. It was a perfect setting for cold, snowy winter nights. The only reason for the 4 stars was the parking. When we arrived everything was covered in snow, so we weren't sure what spots went with our unit, so we just picked two. Others seemed to do the same. We had no issues until the last night, when someone came banging on the door telling us we were in the wrong spots, that they are marked and that if they shoveled the snow away we would see it! Well everything was snow covered when we arrived and it snowed our entire stay. We had never stayed here before so we had no way of knowing what spots went with what unit. I realize it's not Vacasa's fault that the person was so rude and disruptive, but be aware that parking can be an issue if all of the units are being occupied, especially if there is snow! Other than that, we had a great stay, enjoyed this home and would have given 5 stars!

Close to WISP

Comfortable & close to the slopes. A VERY short drive. Loved that every bedroom had its own bathroom. Very well-stocked kitchen. The gas fireplace kept us warm & toasty after skiing.

We had a great time at this rental. Very clean, super comfortable furniture on the main floor. Very well stocked kitchen with frying pans and sheet pans that looked almost new. Convenient to WISP for skiing/tubing. Would not say really Walkable to Wisp. Small road, no real shoulder area. But parking at Wisp was super easy. We would stay here again.

Great home... great location!

Spacious and comfortable townhouse with every amenity you could ask for. Walking distance to Wisp and very close to grocery store, gas stations and restaurants. Very well stocked with dinnerware and cookware. Starter kits for bathrooms and kitchen were very appreciated.

Great place to stay

Everything was great! Clean property, walking distance to wisp and the Green Turtle. Less than 5 minutes away from shops, breweries etc. Tucked back in the woods so there was wildlife to enjoy. We even saw a black bear from the safety of our porch! Would definitely stay here again.

Get away weekend

We came for a getaway weekend with our family. The property was nice and could accommodate many people. The kitchen has lots of dishes and cookware but not simple things like foil, napkins, paper plates, plastic ware, Saran Wrap, and sugar. It was kind of frustrating as we wanted to relax and get away and not eat out all the time which is why we went to a VRBO and not at the inn and then we had to purchase sugar and paper products for our one picnic and coffee for two mornings. I donated the sugar and Saran Wrap for the next family so they don’t have to buy.

Nice to get away

We had a excellent time at this property. The lay out was perfect for our two families that stayed. One had the upstairs rooms and bathrooms and then the other family had their separate space as well downstairs with their own bedroom, full bath, and living area. The hot tub was great after our long days of activities. The kitchen was fully stocked and loved that there was a keriug. Made it much simpler in the morning when it came to coffee time. The master bed (king) upstairs was one of the most comfortable beds I have been in, however the queen mattress upstairs and in the basement I was told was not the case. The mattress in the basement actually sagged towards the middle and I was told that it made it hard to sleep because each person rolled to the middle. Not a super big issue, just may need to update the two mattresses.

Family reunion

The property was very clean and had great amenities. BUT, the couches were older and very uncomfortable. And, exiting the parking lot onto Marsh Hill Road was quite challenging. Lots of traffic and mostly obstructed view. Aside from these 2 problems, it was a great place to vacation

Our Hearts Desire home was amazing

Birthday weekend getaway

It was more beautiful than expected. It was very cozy for a nice birthday weekend getaway. The location was perfect as it was near by everything and peaceful. We enjoyed the hot tub and the kitchen was supplied with everything needed. Definitely recommend as my family and I had an amazing time.
