Hello! Send a request & tell us a little about yourself & where you’re coming from! We’d love to have you stay in our cabin built for our children & grandchildren Located in Byrdstown. Nestled at the end of a 1.2 mile long gravel road, in a serene setting, this cozy retreat offers guests a tranquil escape. With a comfortable bedroom, modern amenities like WiFi and AC, and a peaceful atmosphere, your stay here will be truly enjoyable. A 5 minute walk down a wooded trail will take you to a gorgeous OVERLOOK of the lake.
Less than 30 minutes from Sunset Marina, Star point Marina & Cove creek campground with ramp. BOAT PARKING IS AVAILABLE AT CABIN. Primitive boat slip at Franklin Creek (kayaks, and small boats) less than 1 mile away. Loads of on property private hiking trails, (steep ones leading down to the lake are for more ATHLETIC hikers!!), and beautiful views overlooking Dale Hollow Lake, Obey river. No other rentals on property. Very Remote & secluded. Full kitchen with dishes, silverware, coffee, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and range. Linens and 2 towels with washcloths provided. Some firewood provided for the outdoor fireplace. 2 person Maximum. No Visitors. No Parties. No Exceptions. NO ANIMALS Unauthorized ANIMALS will result in $250 cleaning FEE and immediate revocation of reservation with absolutely no refund.

Everything about our stay was excellent! The property was clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, peaceful, relaxing, and a perfect reconnection with nature. The picnic table overlook, the outdoor fire area, the beautiful view from the inside sitting area, the extra touches available…we loved every minute of our stay there. Sitting outside on the porch during a calming rain was the icing on the cake. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is the perfect place.

Secluded Getaway

Perfect place to get away from everyday life. We enjoyed hanging at the lake overlook in hammocks while the sun set in the distance. We came to the area to hike and explore the surrounding area and were happy to be within an hour of lots or cool sights!

This is the place to book if you want reconnect with nature. The location is very private and you are truly surrounded by the woods. I enjoyed the drive to the cabin, as it was a nice way to transition my days with beautiful scenic views. The cabin itself is very clean, modern, and thoughtfully prepared for guests. Loved the fire pit and listening to the owls at night – such a special place to get away.

If you have anything bigger than a bass boat - not a good idea Road is very steep We docked at the marina for our stay which is located at bottom of mountain If you’re there for boating and/or fishing - staying at a marina cabin is your best bet Nice stay for a couple

After you showed up two Hours before regular check in, sadly you decided to leave a less than happy review due to choosing a property that did not suit your needs in the first place. The property is clearly described as a very remote and private location, at least 20–30 minutes from the busy public marinas — which is precisely why most guests choose to stay here. The country roads are regularly used by log trucks, delivery trucks, and semis without issue. Rating the property less than excellent because it didn’t match your unrealistic hopes, rather than what was explicitly described, is unfair. You’re right that you should have booked a property with direct waterfront and boat access. It is important to READ property descriptions Before choosing to be dissatisfied.
