Very pleasant stay. quiet even tho close to Sir Francis Drake Drive which was very convenient. Outdoor garden and patio space was great. Plenty of space and rested well.

This was one of the nicest vacation rentals we've ever stayed in - just an adorable, VERY well appointed cottage in a great location. It ticked every box, and the host was wonderful. Highly recommend!

Ad was misleading

Property was listed as a two bedroom that slept four which was not the case. Upon arrival we immediately noticed that the home was fully cluttered with all of the hosts personal belongings. Master bedroom - queen bed with no place for personal belongings. Closets and dresser were full with hosts clothes, shoes, etc. Office - I assume this was supposed to be the second bedroom but it was not set up as a bedroom. It included a Peloton bike, a desk and chair, a large hutch and cabinet and a couch. When I asked the host about the set up she explained that the couch came apart and that there should be a tempapedic mattress somewhere outside UNDER the house. She literally asked me to build the bed for lack of a better explanation. Under no circumstances as a guest should this be the case. This set up should have been explained in the original listing so that guests knew in advance what they were getting into
very misleading. No space for clothes. Living room - small and full of oversized furniture which made it difficult to navigate. We wound up using the couch as a second place to sleep which is not what we paid for. Kitchen - fridge FULL of old, expired food. Dishwasher full of dirty dishes. Ants on the counter. Bathroom - vanity and shower full of hosts personal care items. No space for our belongings. Shower did not always function. Outdoors - leaves, cobwebs, and debris on all furniture. Host was informed and gave us a $250 refund and asked me not to leave a review.

Cluttered, did not feel clean. Master bedroom had no drawer or closet space available. Not even enough floor space to live out of suitcase. Owner left note to use 2 drawers and few shelves in closet in another room. Bathroom cluttered with personal stuff. Kitchen had food in frig. Air quality poor. Either animal in house or mold. We left without staying, as breathing was difficult.

Wonderful!! Just what we needed

This is a clean, comfortable home with many unique touches. The outdoor areas are inviting, the bathroom and kitchen are modern and beautiful, the beds are comfortable, the host is attentive and we were VERY happy here.

Charming!

Charming, beautifully decorated, cozy space for my 2 adult daughters and me doing our stay in Marin. Outdoor patio is a lovely spot for a morning cup of coffee. Location is within walking distance of restaurants and shops, and a perfect spot from which to explore Marin, wineries and San Fransisco. Owner has a lot of her own personal items throughout, so you need to be comfortable with that. Would definitely stay again!

Vacationing in someones personal space

Cozy, clean, perfect size for 2 of us, great shower, loved the outdoor area and great location to san anselmo downtown. We did have the cottage to ourselves but the only think we didn't care for was the amount of the owners personal stuff throughout the cottage from clothes, shoes, makeup, food in fridge...every other vrbo we stayed at has been a vacation home with just a few knick knacks around the house. That is our preference.

Sweet cottage in a great location.

Andrea was a perfect host: check-in was simple, her home is lovely & had everything we needed & more! We had family visiting from out of town & we're thrilled to find this place. They loved staying here; so much cozier & more relaxing than any hotel. Will definitely stay here again, thanks!

Lovely Relaxing get-away

I needed a Marin base for a week and really loved this cozy little house. I used the 2nd bedroom as a closet to spread out my wardrobe, and I enjoyed the lovely enclosed patio as a workspace. I would stay again if I get so lucky.

Lovely property

Lovely cottage, close to Both SF and Sonoma area. Close to the Larkspur ferry that will take you into downtown San Francisco. After long days of walking around various locales it was wonderful to return to a comfortable, quiet environment. We enjoyed eating out in the serene back yard, watching the sun go down and the various birds flitting around the property.

Peaceful Paradise!

Andrea's cottage is the perfect San Anselmo retreat. So lovely, comfortable, quiet and convenient in all respects. Ultra relaxing and beautiful property with short walk to great restaurants, boutiques, etc. Check-in was simple and Andrea was easily accessible if a question arose. Don't know when I've enjoyed a vacation more!!

Elegant gem of a cottage in a great location

As the overview accurately states, this is a beautifully furnished, elegant cottage with many of the comforts of a luxury hotel (great shower, plush and comfortable bed and living room furniture) but triple the space. The weather prevented our taking advantage of great-looking outdoor space, but we would have spent most of our time on the well-appointed patio if it had been dry—and hope to come back for another season. The experience of staying here is more like staying with a clever and artistic relative or being dropped into the midst of someone else’s life than the more typical pared-down and neutral HomeAway space. You need to be comfortable with the owners’ possesssions everywhere. The location has everything you could ask for: ease of access to services, stores, main routes to highlight but impressive quiet and privacy. Just two hints: 1) Asthma suffers and those with allergies to heavy perfumes should take note that the owner clearly likes strong scents as part of her style (incense blowers, scented candles, perfume diffuser) and they were pervasive even with big time venting. Because there are more than 20 steps up to the house and limited storage, small carry-ons are a better match than big checked bags or lots of stuff if you stay here. Finally, Andrea was easy to reach and quick to respond to all our questions.
