15 min from seaworld, the beach and downtown depending on traffic. There is 2 grills one is hooked up to natural gas and the other is an old school Kingsford, if dad is joining you. Enjoy a margarita on the porch or grill a New York steak.

Overall is a good place for family. Parking was a trouble, we had oversized vehicle and there was no any parking on the street.

This is a great location and neighborhood. The hostess responsive and helpful. The house is 3 bedrooms with a fold out sofa in the living room. The listing should be changed to reflect that. It was a fun, quirky place!

Spacious comfy home

This tri-level home was just right for our family of five. It was clean, the beds were very comfortable and we got to park in the garage. The neighborhood was quiet and the location was within 20 minutes of all our activities for the week. Our host was easy to work with. Definitely recommend :)

Garbage disposal didn’t work. There were light switches that didn’t seem to turn anything on/off. Couldn’t figure out heating/cooling and there were no directions.

The check in process was seamless and easy, by far the only part of our trip that made it. Our stay was not worth the price or being uncomfortable that came. We arrived late, check in is at 4 pm, and the cleaning crew was still there, still messy on the 2nd floor. Not to mention the bottom room door could not open, after we were able to, lights didn’t work, exposed wiring,

I should have read through all the other reviews. The photos do not reflect the current state of the property, inside or outside. All outdoor furniture is damaged, dirty, and unusable. The “amenities” were terrible: WiFi password did not work & host never responded. The hand soap dispensers were actually filled with water? I can go on but it would sound petty. 2stars because it’s in a good location & the inside of the house was not filthy, just needs serious TLC all around.
Should have taken photos of the inside of the house too

The location for where and what we were doing was great . The neighborhood was great . The pictures do not look like what the house looks like inside . The back yard was not nice , we could not and did not sit out there as it was dirty and not nice at all . The Floors were dirty even after the cleaners were there , the clickers either had no batteries and if they did they do not work , there were no paper towels , no trash bags , could have been better equipped. No directions for tvs , did not know about check in or checkout no directions for anything . It was and ok experience.

Property was double booked. The host was rude and not helpful to get the issue resolved. He showed zero empathy for me and my family who were tired and trying to get somewhere to stay and get to bed at a reasonable hour.

The check-in process is smooth. Location is convenient and it's relatively clean. Response from host is quick. However, the property needs some upgrades and many small things need improving, e.g. the sliding door to the basement is extremely tricky to operate, the showers are bit underwhelming where some of us can't even fit in the shower cell.l, among other small bits to improve. There's also no check-out list, so we're a bit confused and we found some items the previous guests left over and weren't taken out. A big improvement needed for the sofa bed where it's squeaky and not very comfortable to an extend that it has affected our energy the next day. There's also no way to help clean the house (no vacuum and such, there are only two trash bags available), given the duration of stay and the amount of people, it's essential to have some cleaning tools. Overall, the place is worth the price we paid, which is I guess very affordable for a Vrbo in San Diego but I can't say that confidently.

Host allowed us to check in early to drop stuff off to make my sons meet and greet dinner at 3pm. From the time we checked in 8/27/2025 at 1, until 8/28/2025, we had no hot water. took cold showers. we had zero access to the room they portray on here as a connected room(it’s not even in the same house) you go through a patio door with an already broken lock. we called and messaged the host with no way to get in. My grandon and his wife went back home (an hour away) the next day, the host told us he couldn’t get the locksmith to come out (to go ahead and break it) and he would have them come to fix it) of course, we did not do that) my daughter in law was able to use a bobby pin to get it unlocked - the sliding door has so much dirt, it’s hard to open even 12 inches to get in and out) on Friday night at 10pm, all the electricity went out( we called the host- he said the bill comes automatically from his account) he asked me if all the other houses were out?) i could not tell and i even went next door (no answer) he said he would call the property mngr and call me back) he did not call me back. I called San Diego utility, who informed me that it was a planned outage and the owners were contacted on Aug 21st and should not have rented the place out without telling us.) Thank God we had candles but we were hot, we threw away most of the frig food and all the frozen goods(ice and ice cream) it all had melted! I emailed the host and asked how he would like to handle it? No reaponce
