Our first up north experience was magical, and the loft was a big reason for that. The location is absolutely perfect if you're planning to tool around the lovely country roads of Leelanau County. It's basically between 5 and 30 minutes from everything: Traverse City, Leland, Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear, several great beaches, and all the wineries, cider houses, and breweries you can responsibly visit in a week. The property is so beautiful. The dahlias were in bloom and just outside our door. I could not stop taking pictures of them. It also has private access to the lake with a cozy fire ring and comfy seating. We loved the loft set up and decor. It had a very upscale cottage feel - with a little bit of a vintage vibe. It had a sharp clean look with just enough art and decor. And every needed amenity and tool was there. All of the furniture, bedding, appliances, and dishware were so tasteful. The afternoon light shines through three big windows, making the place so bright and airy. When we arrived, we were greeted with a sweet little plate of cookies and a chalkboard welcome note with suggestions for an event taking place at a nearby winery while we were there, which we attended and loved. Rebecca and Scott were wonderful hosts, and we are already looking at calendars to see when we can head north next.
