Maison confortable au charme rustique, grand jardin et vue sublime sur l'Etna et la mer

Casa Rosa est une ferme rĂ©cemment rĂ©novĂ©e qui est situĂ©e dans un superbe environnement naturel: un domaine de 2 hectares de vignobles, cerisiers et vallĂ©e boisĂ©e parfait pour vos pique-niques d’étĂ©. D'un cĂŽtĂ© vous pouvez voir le Mont Etna, de l'autre cĂŽtĂ© la vue sur la cĂŽte est rĂ©ellement un spectacle unique : une vue sur 150 km jusqu'Ă  Taormine, la cĂŽte calabraise au loin en direction du nord et la province de Syracuse au sud.

La maison se compose de :
- Rez-de-chaussée : salon avec cheminée, canapé, table à manger, cuisine, salle de bains avec toilettes, bidet, douche et 1 salon avec canapé-lit double.
- Grenier : chambre avec grand lit double, terrasse et grande chambre avec grand lit double et 2 lits simples. Il y a également une salle de bains avec toilettes, bidet et douche. Jardin équipé de mobilier de jardin comprenant parasol, chaises de jardin, barbecue et jouets pour enfants.

La cheminée fournit également le chauffage central qui rend Casa Rosa également adaptée pour les vacances d'hiver.

La rĂ©gion: Casa Rosa est l'endroit idĂ©al pour explorer l'est de la Sicile. Le village se trouve Ă  mi-chemin entre Catane et Taormine et Ă  seulement 15 km d'Acireale (une petite ville charmante, bĂątie sur un plateau de lave, qui est connue pour ses Ă©glises Baroques). Giardini Naxos, une station balnĂ©aire avec plage de sable, est Ă  seulement 25 km de Casa Rosa (15 min par l'autoroute). Tout proche de Giardini Naxos, on trouve Taorminea, 'la perle mĂ©diterranĂ©enne' et la station balnĂ©aire la plus prisĂ©e de Sicile. Son vieux thĂ©Ăątre grec est mondialement connu pour ses magnifiques vues panoramiques. Pozzillo, Santa Maria la Scala et Aci Trezza sont des villages de bord de mer agrĂ©ables proches de Zafferana Etnea. La plage la plus proche se trouve Ă  Praiola (9 km), une plage sauvage de galets Ă  cĂŽtĂ© d'une falaise spectaculaire. À une heure de route vers le sud se trouve Syracuse.

Ernesto’s place was super peaceful, the surroundings were beautiful with a great view to mount Etna and also the coastline. When we arrived we received wine from their winery, fresh local fruits and different cheese for our first meal. Ernesto was very attentive and showed us his place with clear pride and gave us advice where to go to and what to do. Seeing a full grown mountain smoke is a special sight to behold.

Wonderful!

The location was idyllic and the view stunning! Ernesto greeted us with olive oil, grapes from his vineyard, cheese, meats, bread, olives water and his delicious wine from his private stock. What a lovely eay to be introduced to the Etna area. Ernesto was very responsive to all our requests -a gracious host! Highly recommend!

It is such a wonderfull spot with a great sorrounding, away of the narrow villages. We were welcomed very warm by the amiable Ernesto with some outstanding good cheese and hints for the house and the area. In the spacious house you find everything you need to feel comfortable. One shouldnÂŽt come along with a Cadillac - car, verry verry narrow winding roads. We would love to come amnother time.

Pics don’t do the place justice. Incredible views of both the sea and Mr Etna and comes equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed celebrating a birthday lunch by grilling fresh fish and local meats on the outdoor grill. Mt etna was active and we even enjoyed a nighttime lava show which special. Indeed the tiny stretch of road to access the place is v narrow even for a fiat 500 but Ernesto kindly guides you there (you would not be able to find it on your own otherwise). Ernesto accommodated a late check in and was very friendly and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and could not recommend this enough to those looking for a great home base near Catania and Taormina!

We had a wonderful stay at the Pink Retreat. Ernesto welcomed us with fresh cheese and fruit and a bottle of wine, which was great after a late arrival... The kitchen is generously equipped and everything was working fine. The garden is lovely and the view stunning. The house is very charming and the kids loved it, too. Yes, the road to the house is bumpy and narrow, but that should not pose a problem to anyone with average driving skills and an average car. It is a remote place and getting to it requires a little effort, which is fair enough. We would not hesitate to book the place again!

We had an absolutely amazing time at Casa Rosa. If you are looking to unplug and be amongst nature and silence, this is the place to be. The house itself is beautifully restored, it looks just like the photos. It is equipped with everything you could possible need. We loved the yard and surrounding area of vineyard and fruit trees. Every morning waking up and watching the sunrise over the sea was bliss, a sight we will never forget. This was a perfect stay for us and our 2 young children, lots of room inside and out. The hosts Ernesto and Maria very kind and warm. They were quick to respond to any questions and even stocked the kitchen for our arrival. I cannot say enough about this unique accommodation- we hope to return!

We had a lovely week at the pink retreat. The host/key keeper Ernesto is very friendly and takes great care to show you everything you need to know about it. The view from the lawn is stunning, and the surrounding area gives you a very calm and positive feeling. Big plus: During our stay the cherries were waiting to be picked and we were told to take as many as we would like (which we did - delicious!). Since it was a bit rainy during our stay, we used the fireplace and cozied up inside instead of outside. The kitchen (and house in general) is well equipped, we did not miss any day-to-day household items. Be prepared, the drive to the house gets a bit adventurous on the last 300 meters, smaller cars are actually an advantage here. But under no conditions was it dangerous to drive there.

The photos don't do it justice, this place is INCREDIBLE. The views are totally out of this world - Mount Etna on one side, and you look out over what feels like the whole of Sicily on the other. I watched the sun rise one morning and couldn't believe my eyes. Truly stunning. Ernesto is the sweetest man, he left us fresh bread, local cheeses, fruit, his own olive oil (the best we tasted), beer, his own white wine (delicious) and lots of goodies for when we arrives which was so kind. He so showed us the cherry trees in the orchard and said we could help ourselves which was a particular highlight for the kids. Before we went I told him my son really wanted to come to Italy and pick lemons, he'd harvested his lemon trees before our trip but saved some on one tree for my children, they were over the moon and I was so touched. The house is incredibly well kitted out, had everything we needed and totally beautiful, I felt like I was in a movie the whole time. Don't hesitate to book this place, we had the trip of a lifetime and made such special memories in this house. Thank you Ernesto for everything you did for us.

The perfect italian experience!!

We are a family of 4, with a 5 and a 9 years old. We were looking for a place with plenty of space for the kids to play and run freely without bothering anyone, a place with a view and a place where we could just relax listening to just the sounds of nature. Ernesto's house had all that and more! It was just perfect! And beautiful since we got there in time to see all the cherry trees in full bloom. The house itself is very comfortable and my husband enjoyed very much getting in touch with his inner manhood via lightening the fire every night, thought the house was warm enough without it. We made barbecues and breakfasted looking at the sea.There is wi-fi, so the kids were also entertained in between our trips around the east side of Sicily (the west coast is too far away for day trips) and after exploring the different paths that run around the house itself. Mount Etna was practically just behind us and Ernesto gave us some tips to save up on expensive pre-arranged tours up there. He also provided a feast of locally produced tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, olives and wine on our first day, which was just great. We couldn't recommend the place enough. It truly is an Italian experience, far from other tourists and boring hotels with overcrowed pools. Even the (very) bumpy and narrow road that takes you to the house was quite an experience - just don't hire a big car!

A wonderful house in a wonderful location

For us the house lived up to all the other 5 star reviews. In winter, when the clouds lift to reveal it, the summit of Etna looming behind the house is an imposing sight whilst the Ionian sea in front of the house is constantly changing colour as the light shifts. The house has been renovated to the highest standard. It has lovely artisan terracotta tiles and cherry wood beams and floors. All the furniture and fittings have been chosen and fitted with great skill and care. Everything is totally in keeping with a Sicilian farmhouse. The only sounds floating up from the plain below the house are those of church bells from the nearest villages. Nearer to the house, dogs, cockerels and the tinkling of sheep bells; lovely country sounds against a back drop of peace and tranquility. Tending the fire in winter is something of a hobby. In winter you can be nice and warm in front of the fire but the heating only takes the chill off the rest of the house. As long as you're prepared to wear a few layers it's fine. The welcome from Ernesto was as others have described. He is extremely helpful and nice. The fire was lit to welcome us when we arrived, along with wine, olive oil and other essentials. Nervous drivers should note that the road to the house is narrow and made of rough stones. If you're heading to destinations along the coast use the A18 toll road to go North / south and then drop down to your destination. Much of the coast road is busy and built up and driving along it is slow and stressful. Any one who who enjoys peace, beautiful surroundings and views will love this house. It is also very well placed for getting to see the Etna national park and the coast. The two nearest settlements Zafferana and Milo are both charming places and Zafferna has very good supermarkets. Accueil parfait dans un endroit superbe

La location correspond Ă  l’annonce, l’accueil d’Ernesto est trĂšs sympa avec pleins de bonnes petites surprises (marmelade, fruits, pain ...). La vue est superbe avec l’etna juste Ă  cĂŽtĂ©.
