Multi-unit building with other units/guests in the back half of the house. Fully private and separate apartment with private entrance just for you. No shared space with anyone else. Kitchen with dishwasher, stove, oven, kitchenaid mixer, vitamix, etc. Bedroom, living room, dining room and full bathroom. Walk 2 town/worlds smallest harbor, whale watching tours, hiking. Not ocean front or ocean view. 1/2 mile to ocean. *note that the bathtub is old and in need of refinishing. Caretaker on site
The space
Before a booking is accepted you will be asked to confirm that you aren’t bringing any animals and that you have seen the parking picture and understand where to park. DO NOT PARK ON THE GRAVEL ROAD. IF YOU DO YOU WILL BE ASSESSED A FEE OF $25
Please note that the walls in the bedroom are a bit dingy and the wallpaper is fading there. Also the bathtub finish is degraded which makes it appear dirty.
Please note that there are other guests in the back part of the house. In particular the staircase is creaky and although it does not pass above your unit you will undoubtedly hear people using it. There are bedrooms above your dining room and your bedroom. The insulation is thin. You will hear other guests but you won’t see them because your space is private
Guest access
You have access to the hot tub, which is on the back deck. Other guests might use it also.
Your apartment is completely private. No one else can enter it. Please do not pass through the door to the left of the bathroom. It should remain closed at all times unless there is an emergency
Other things to note
The sleeping accommodations are a queen bed in a bedroom with a door and a large L shaped sofa in the living room. The sofa is not a hide a bed or futon. It is over 7 feet long and is flat and reasonably comfortable.
Per ABNBs permission no animals of any kind are allowed at this property due to health concerns of residents who live on site.
Your unit is in an 80 year old house. I remodeled it myself and am happy with the outcome. Having said that maintenance and repairs are needed from time to time. It’s not unforeseen that construction noise might affect your stay. Any noise of this type is limited to the hours of 10am-6pm. If any of this work were to occur in a common area used by you, you would be informed ahead of time. In the unlikely event that an emergency repair were needed in your unit you would be informed ahead of time and compensated. Your privacy is of utmost importance.
