Welcome to Hudson Homestead: Where rural peace meets city convenience. Retreat to this private, fenced 1.5 acre oasis with NO PET RESTRICTIONS. Wake up to farm fresh eggs from our coop and a latte from our fully stocked coffee/tea bar. Drink your creation while rocking on the serene porch. Take a hike on the local trails or head to the nearby lakes for family fun. Finish your day relaxing by the firepit, grilling on the patio or taking a dip in the hot tub. We have something for EVERYONE!

You won't find another place that allows ALL animals and boasts a fully furnished, fenced, and decorated 1.5-acre yard, a historic railway, multiple gardens, outdoor hangout areas, an outdoor movie theater, a private gym, a hot tub, and farm-fresh eggs from our very own CHICKENS. Our property is truly one-of-a-kind 'round here!

Clean Guarantee: We prioritize a clean and pleasant experience and deep clean prior to EVERY stay. We feature a Mova P10 robot mop/vac (LiDAR navigation only, no cameras) to ensure spotless floors from your first step to your last. Our guests RAVE about our cleanliness!

NO PET RESTRICTIONS: Bring your dog, cat, bird, goat, horse, etc. (For any animal other than a dog or cat, please contact the Host first. Only domestic animals are allowed inside)

Events: Host your small event on our gorgeous wooded property! (With prior Host approval only; additional fees apply).

FREE Early Check-in/Check-out: Must be requested 24 hours in advance and is not guaranteed. Subject to change based on occupancy and cleaning schedules.

Laundry: Dedicated area with a washer & dryer (detergent & softener provided).

Fully Stocked Kitchen: Blender, sandwich maker, waffle maker, Instant Pot, air fryer, egg cooker, all utensils, pots/pans, dinnerware, mugs, pet bowls, and more.

Coffee, Tea & Juice Bar: Test your barista skills with our espresso machine (complete with a built-in grinder). Or keep it simple with our one-touch automated pour-over pot (also with a built-in grinder for the freshest brew). Coffee beans, tea bags, and flavored syrups are ALL INCLUDED.

Bar Cart: Stocked with drinking glasses, a cocktail mixing set, and wine holders (drinks not provided).

Entertainment: Karaoke machine, toddler/kids' toys, board games, and books. Features 3 TVs with Roku. The living room TV includes complimentary Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, over 1,000 Roku Live TV channels, and Hulu Live TV.

Outdoor (1.5 Acres)

Backyard Oasis: True relaxation starts at our 2025 Aquarest hot tub.

Fire Pit: Stone fire pit area complete with Adirondack chairs and log seats/tables.

Front Porch: Enjoy your morning coffee or evening drink to the sounds of nature and the glow of fireflies on our large front porch with classic rocking chairs.

Back Deck Hangout: Grill out in comfort with outdoor couches, a propane grill (propane included), a dining set, an enclosed picnic table, patio umbrellas, and zero-gravity chairs.

Adventure: A fishing kayak is available on-site for you to use if you are able to transport it.

*Want to REALLY enjoy the full outdoor experience? There is a tent located in the 3rd-floor closet for those who want to camp out and sleep under the stars in our forest!*

Train: Have your perfect photo op or take a walk through history, our backyard backs up to the historic CSX railway! Enjoy the unique experience of watching a train roll by (usually once a day or less).

The Chicken Experience: Last but certainly not least, enjoy farm-fresh eggs and a true homestead experience with our chicken coop & run! Grain is available on-site if you wish to hand-feed them. This experience is completely OPTIONAL. The chickens have an automated water supply, enough feed for 7 days, and their own large, securely fenced area.

Please note: Aggressive animals are not permitted on the property. If your pets have a high prey drive, please do not let the chickens out of their secure run. Hosts will visit to tend to the chickens, refresh the coop, and replace feed every 6 days for longer stays.

Most of all, we are a true family business and manage every aspect ourselves, meaning you will always have attentive, caring Hosts at your disposal rather than a disinterested third-party company. Early Check-In & Late Check-Out:
Due to the size of the property, the abundant amenities and the many tasks that need to be completed to ensure a clean and pleasant experience, early check-ins and late check-outs may only be available if cleaning schedules and occupation allow. There are no additional fees. Requests can only be made 24-48hrs in advance and are subject to change based on occupancy or cleaning schedule.

Guest Liability & Property Risks:
"With great freedom comes great responsibility." Due to the many activities we offer and the nature of this unique property, there are inherent risks associated.

Guests assume all responsibility for their and their parties' actions while on property. Guests agree to use amenities responsibly and never under the influence of any substance.

Guests agree to exercise caution while roaming the wooded property and uneven terrain with roots, plants and trees.

Guests will exercise caution while handling any animals on property and wash their hands before and after handling chickens or their eggs.

Hosts are not responsible for any injuries or other harm that may occur on the property. By booking this property, Guests assume this responsibility and agree to the aforementioned.

Extended Stays:
If you are staying longer than 5 nights and would like additional cleaning services, please notify your Host, an additional cleaning fee will apply for each service requested.

Essential Oil Diffusers:
There are 2 automated essential oil diffusers for a natural non-toxic hotel aroma (we use the Ritz Collection which is a blend of lemon, bergamot and jasmine). Since it is natural the scent fades immediately upon unplugging. However, if you are sensitive to scents please let us know and we can unplug them prior to your stay.

CSX Railway & Fire Station Disclosures:
The property backs up to the CSX railway therefore you can expect to hear a train go by typically less than once per day. The property is also situated near the Wake Forest fire station, and sirens may be heard from time to time.

Security & Privacy Cameras:
For the safety of our guests, plants and animals, there are 3 outdoor cameras that monitor:

* The chicken coop
* The garden
* The front gate

There is also a fun bird feeder cam that activates only when birds are on it and overlooks the driveway. There are absolutely NO cameras inside the home or on the porches for maximum privacy.

Small Events & Custom Fees:
Although we allow events, the Hudson Homestead is NOT an event venue and will not be responsible for setup, takedown or providing any additional furniture or decor for events.

The event fees simply cover additional wear and tear on the property and resources and are priced by guest count:

* Up to 15 additional guests: $250+
* Up to 40 additional guests: $500+
* Weddings: Custom pricing (please message the Host with details).

Disruptive Events Strictly Prohibited:
The following actions are strictly prohibited and constitute grounds for immediate termination of your stay with no refund:

* Unapproved events (contact the Host if you plan on having ANY guests other than the amount stated in your booking).
* Disruptive or violent conduct (yelling, physical altercation, etc.).
* Discharging firearms.
* Loud music past 10pm.
* Open invitation or entry-fee events (events with no predetermined guest list that are open to anyone and/or charge an entry fee).
* Illegal substance use.
* Deliberate tampering or disabling of the security system.
* Using or lighting fires in unapproved areas.

Basically, anything that would typically result in being removed from a hotel. Please respect the land, the animals and the neighbors.

Woodland Ecosystem & Wildlife:
This is a wooded lot with a bustling ecosystem and there is a reasonable expectation of wildlife (including insects, deer, bunnies etc.) on the property.

The inside of the home and the porches are sprayed for pests monthly. The yard does not get treated to protect our natural pollinators, insects and the chickens that eat them.
