Cabane dans les arbres dans les montagnes, les séquoias, les plages et la Silicon Valley de Santa Cruz

Niché dans une cathédrale de Redwoods Old Growth sur 72 acres des montagnes de Santa Cruz, cette cabane dans les arbres est unique en son genre, pour les aventuriers calmes et amoureux de la nature. Plafonds Lofty et lampes solaires. escalier en colimaçon en chêne vous mène à votre "nid", un lit queen avec draps et oreillers fournis. En bas des escaliers est un porche minuscule avec bistro à manger ensemble pour siroter du vin d'une cave locale pendant que vous contemplez l'étang et la prairie au clair de lune, la lumière tachetée dans les arbres.
Aussi une grande reine futon et ottoman dans la salle familiale en bas des escaliers, une bibliothèque de vieux livres rassemblés disposés sur diverses étagères. 300 pieds carrés .. Près de plusieurs sentiers de randonnée.
Spottings de la faune ont inclus cerfs, faucon queue rouge, hiboux (entendu la nuit en particulier), mignons petits lézards bleus ventre, dinde et paons sauvages, parmi beaucoup d'autres animaux plus timides comme le renard, tortues, koi, et rarement (si nous chanceux) bobcat.

Près de tout Silicon Valley et Santa Cruz ont de beaux restaurants, de la musique live, des dégustations de vin et des parcs d'État (Big Basin et Henry Cowell) pour des randonnées et des événements incroyables. San Francisco, Monterey est une heure facile au nord et au sud.

Baignoire sur pattes / douche vintage sous un baldaquin de branches de séquoia et de laurier, les érables donnent une nouvelle signification à "hot tub". Instantané et abondant l'eau chaude de PRINTEMPS ..... La baignoire / douche Vintage Clawfoot est sous les étoiles dans une enceinte privée Redwood avec une porte de verrouillage. La porte a un petit signe qui est accroché à l'extérieur lorsque la baignoire est utilisée, pour la vie privée. Cette zone est partagée par un seul autre Cottage, qui est habituellement occupé par un couple doux ou une personne célibataire!
Tous les éclairages intérieurs et extérieurs sont alimentés à l'énergie solaire ou à piles. Nous avons une station de recharge pour téléphone portable / appareil, si nécessaire ...
Pas de cuisine ou de cuisine ici ... Désolé, NO Campstoves, barbecues ou feux de toute nature sont autorisés ici !!

It was nice! Beautifully crafted treehouse with a nice outdoor shower tub. Learnijg of the historic and instrinsic value at the nearby Chalet made it more fun to be there. I enjoyed the redwood tree views offered from every window view. Thank you George Rabe for the great stay.

Everything was great! So relaxing and zen. The pictures were exactly what we experienced. I thought it might be dirty and lots of bugs, but it was the exact opposite! Even sitting by the pond late afternoon toward dusk, no bugs. It got cold at night and the bed was comfy and cozy with wonderful blankets and waking up to the view of trees all around was spectacular. I will definitely be back. Thank you!

My partner and I enjoyed a long weekend in this secluded mountain woods treehouse. While no shower or central air was unfamiliar at first, the outdoor tub and natural shade made for a very refreshing retreat.

Great Getaway!!

This was such a great little place! Very cozy and unique. Only issue was the heat- it wasn’t insulated and it got pretty warm. But nothing that fan they provided couldn’t handle. My fiance and I really enjoyed and made use if the the outdoor shower and tub! All in all a REALLY cool space and place to stay! Unique experience!!

Perfect Respite....

A huge thank you to George for a wonderful stay! This was a welcome respite from a hectic city life. Although chilly (for me) in December/January, George was extremely communicative about bringing cozy clothes. The heating pad on the bed is brilliant as it allowed for longer than normal morning's in bed... listening to the birds and enjoying peering out the window at the trees. Thank you again for providing and maintaining this special space for us to enjoy! I'll be back in the Spring + Summer!

Love the treehouse and surrounding property, but ...

Although I love being in the treehouse and enjoying the surrounding property and wildlife (deer and wild turkeys), one of the bed covers/blankets had some small twigs clinging to it. Also, I would enjoy spending time by the pond, but both times I have stayed ... the pond has been completely covered by scum/algae.

Hi Thomas! We should have clarified the pond history prior to your earlier stay here . The pond is "very mature", meaning it sustains a lot of plant and animal life. What appears to be algea, is actually a little water plant, known as "Duck Lettuce", partially due due it's bright green color ... Rest assured, the pond is NOT stagnant in any way and produces absolutely no offensive odors ... We also rescue Turtles and Koi fish ... The pond is currently home to over 50 mature giant Koi and at least 6 large Turtles and many visiting Ducks and Egrets ... The pond is over 15 feet deep and is naturally Spring fed and currently overflows right back into the little creek behind it ... Please enjoy !

Best Staycation EVER

If you are looking for a getaway, then this is the BEST place. Granted, it is winter, and it was COLD, but in the most amazing way. This house is beautiful and feels almost magical. With the large pond and deer and wild turkeys roaming in the field in front you don't feel like you're so close to the city. There was also a post about the land and restoration upon entering the driveway that was so cool. I would definitely recommend bringing a power strip to be able to charge multiple phones and extra blankets if you are going during a cold season. We layered on the blankets and clothes and were fine. We will definitely be booking again during each season to get a different experience. This is definitely a GEM and we LOVED it!

Fantastic, but pay attention to the details

This property is as close as you can get to redwoods and be inside. It’s quite magical. Driving in on the driveway splashed with green boughs is sublime, as is the smell.I think the description and pics are pretty good, but it's worth knowing out a few things:- You probably can't communicate electronically to the host or anyone else when you're actually there - no reception or wifi.- The bed is as cozy as it looks.- Watching the deer graze in the meadow is pretty nice.- The bathroom really only has hanging bamboo "door" so not super private. But the sink and toilet are nice and new.- The open-air tub is a few hundred feet away and collects a bit of grime and hadn't been cleaned that day, but it didn't bother me because I just used the hand shower. I assume there is hot water but I used cold.- I think the Kirkland shampoo makes my hair really soft.- There's no insulation and little heat (per the pics). There's a string of purple lights downstairs I couldn't turn off but it didn't bother me because I'm not that light sensitive.- The water is untreated so bring drinking water if you're not adventurous like that.- The vehicle gate needs a touch of oomph to open, and watch your feet for the extended wheels. Should be fine for most people. There is a short drive at the end on wood chips but it is well-maintained. It adds to the atmosphere.I would be sure to ask about anything you're not sure about. For me it was exactly what I expected.

Hidden Gem

If you watched Swiss Family Robinson as a kid...well this is as close as I have even gotten to staying in a tree house like that!! It was so cozy and romantic for our honeymoon trip. It was secluded but very close to amenities. It was so cool to sleep in the redwoods. Nice touches throughout.

This place is so cute and cozy. It was so quiet and peaceful. Great place to get away and be alone. They provide lanterns and battery candles that I was so grateful for. It gets really dark! I would stay here again.
