La Selva Beach Guest Suite, Pet Friendly

Private, pet friendly, 350sf guest suite (Santa Cruz County Hosted Rental Permit 231263) with bathroom and a food prep area about a mile from Manresa State Beach. A redwood tree shades the adjacent private garden patio where you and your family can lounge or BBQ.

The living area includes a queen bed, dining table with seating for 4, and a comfortable chair with a reading lamp. Free Wifi. A 43-in 4k UHD TV with DirectTV, HBO, Showtime, Netflix and 300+ channels is provided. An elevated queen sized airbed (electric powered) is optionally available in the closet for third or fourth guests.

The food prep area is well equipped with sink, microwave, small refrigerator, coffee making equipment and sufficient tools, dinnerware and cutlery to serve simple pre-made or delivered meals.

The updated bathroom has a toilet, sink, shower and window.

From the suite you’ll have direct access to the shared laundry area in the garage with a full sized washer and dryer.

The suite shares three walls with our family home. Please see the floor plan in the photo section.

The suite comes equipped with two folding beach chairs, beach towels and a small ice chest in case you want to head down to the beach or out to the mountains for a picnic.

Owing to our proximity to the ocean, temperatures in La Selva Beach are temperate and range from a low of 49 to a high of 74 degrees. There is a heater in the suite along with extra blankets and comforters. On the extremely rare occasions where temperatures rise above 74 degrees we provide a fan.

The guest suite accommodates two adults comfortably. By arrangement made prior to booking, we can occasionally accommodate more guests. A charge of $50 per night, per guest, will be assessed for overnight guests in excess of two for whom no prior arrangements have been made.





If you would like to bring more than two pets please inquire about permission prior to booking. A charge of $25 per night, per pet will be assessed for each pet in excess of two if no previous approval for extra pets has been obtained.

Parking for one vehicle is in the driveway. Parking for additional vehicles  is available  on our quiet residential street.

A sweet apartment in a lovely neighborhood with a small/private patio garden, exceeded our expectations.Hosts thought of everything, including doggy leash and dishes, doggy beach towels (that we didn't need), great coffee, a 'welcome book' that covered everything! We hope to visit again soon.

Very relaxing stay

The property, check-in, etc was just as described. It was perfect size for my dog and myself. Very easy to access roads to Aptos and Santa Cruz. Very private. There was a very noisy house work going on next door the first day I arrived. Luckily, that didn't continue the rest of the stay.

Had a absolutely delightful time in their beautiful home. The furniture is exquisite and everything was clean and easy to access. Would stay again. My only suggestion is to bring an eye mask if you are light-sensitive and want to sleep in because there is a wonderful skylight above the bed.

Great location and lovely hosts

We very much appreciated the park parking pass and the coffee and cream provided. The washer and dryer are new and excellent. The outdoor space is lovely. The skylight is nice and the only ‘window’ with the room containing the bed. Fortunately, a fan is provided. It would have been nice with a king size bed but a very nice inflatable bed was available. However, the size of the mini fridge was so small and it would have been nice if there was another fridge in the laundry area. A first aid kit and some toiletries were a very nice touch. We definitely recommend staying there.

Wonderful Spot

Property is perfect for a couple and there dog. Room is very spacious with a little kitchenette for coffee and food to go. Bathroom is spacious and has everything you need. Room where you sleep has no windows so there isnt any cross ventilation . Location is beautiful. Hosts were wonderdul. Definately will be back this summer. for any cross ventilator

Lovely, quiet, private studio

The studio is really lovely, comfortable and well-appointed. The furnishings and linens are high quality and the amenities like coffee, fresh 1/2 and 1/2, beach towels and books were all appreciated. The location is so quiet and although the studio is connected to the home, it was very private and peaceful. We loved staying here and will come again.

Perfect Spot

This was a great place to stay as it was very centrally located to what we wanted to do from Santa Cruz down to Monterey. A very quiet community and nice room with everything you need. Communication was excellent and would definitely recommend staying there!!

A Quiet Escape

This unit is clean, well-maintained and nicely appointed. There were fresh-cut flowers on the table and coffee and half-and-half was provided as well as a state park pass. Deluxe! The main room has a lovely skylight but doesn't have any windows, but a fan is provided. It has good parking and very easy beach and freeway access and yet is in a very quiet neighborhood. Owners were immediately available and responsive to our needs.

Fantastic Studio

Studio exactly as described in a cute neighborhood in a cute town. Comfy bed, cool furnishings, fluffy towels, organic toiletries, and coffee and tea provided! Hosts provided suggestions for local restaurants and activities. Very easy drive to nice sandy beach and super close to many other beaches and redwood forests. 10/10 recommend!

Lovely Studio, minutes from the beach

This was such a cute studio apartment, the room was clean and the amenities were perfect. If you are looking for somewhere to stay near Monterey and Santa Cruise this is perfect. Settled about halfway between both cities this is a beautiful spot just a couple of minutes away from the ocean. The hosts were kind enough to provide a state park pass for the weekend and my husband and I were able to go to sunset beach for a few hours as well as a drive through the Redwoods. Highly appreciated and would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you for having us for our first anniversary!

Cozy stay

This studio had everything we needed and more. Bed was comfortable, the unique vintage furniture was nice to enjoy and learn their origins. Bathroom and studio was clean, close to the interstate and easy to get to places, definitely coming back to stay.

Three quick things about me: I'm a mom to three (now adult) sons, I grew up in Central and South America and I collect etiquette books.

Our family lives in a small beach community in northern California and my husband John and I both work in Silicon Valley. We love to take 3 and 4 day short trips here in the US to visit friends and family and longer 4 to 5 week trips overseas to explore the world.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Our home is uniquely situated roughly halfway (20-30miles) between the cites of Santa Cruz and Monterey and yet is less than a a mile from wide flat and sandy Manresa State Beach. Situated in a small, quiet, beachside community, it offers easy access to standard amenities like restaurants and stores yet is only a short drive to world class attractions like the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Carmel, and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

Our guests often remark that they find the guest suite pleasantly decorated, convenient, and private. They seem to find it well suited to a quiet, relaxing getaway with plenty to do and see nearby.
