Absolutely Remarkable

Our condo was absolutely ideal for our needs. The administration - Sue and Jackie particularly were incredibly helpful. My only regret is that we could not stay longer! I have done many beach vacations in my day with and without family - but was very happily surprised by the condos at Pelican Watch. So close to everything - beach and surf just right. Facing East to see dawn and surrounded by ocean views. Gotta get back SOON!! Thank you.

This is our second year to celebrate New Years at Pelican Watch! Perfect view to wake up , relax and bring in the New Year! We wish there was one more bath or a half. But we make it work because of the fabulous location and cozy home!! Thanks for another great year!

Few areas of the kitchen need a deep clean . Comfortable stay . Would like to have had a lighter in the home to start the grill . The master bed squeaks with the slightest move , interrupting sleep . The proximity to the beach was perfect . Overall would choose this unit for future stays .

Anniversary Trip

This is an older house but very comfortable. Does need some maintenance work, only when it's not occupied. The upstairs bathroom had mold in the shower, there were some spider webs, and the upholstery on the chair is dingy, so housekeeping needs to do better.

So close to amenities!

This house was exactly what we were looking for. It is on the beach (50 yards from the water!) and right next door to the pool, restaurant and bar. The main floor has nice high ceilings and great gathering space. The bedrooms were as advertised and pretty spacious with closet room. It was very hot the weekend we visited and the rooms stayed nice and cool even during the day. Also there is a nice loft area that is great for movie watching or downtime for the kids. We would definitely rent again and would recommend to family and friends.

Pool and customer service

We love the place and access to the beach, but we specifically rent a ppv property because of the pool, young kids and COVID. Took two days to get response on why pool wasn't available and still waiting for a response on whether we can use it though we've moved to a bigger house for week 2. Haven't been in the pool yet. Customer service… making and keeping commitments is important

We were pleased to read you loved the home and access to the beach, but were sorry to hear there were some issues with pool.&nbsp; The pools are managed by HOA, we have no control over the closing or opening of the pools. However, when they notify us we do our best to send notification to our guest. Please rest assured we have addressed this with the team to ensure we improve on this.&nbsp;

Superb location, good mattresses and appliances, needs bath renovation.

This is our second stay at the villa, we stayed about 11 years ago. This superbly located villa that sleeps 8 is could not be closer to the beach path and stairs over the dune. It's exceptionally easy and pleasant for my 91 y.o. mother and our married children and infant. The ocean views from inside the villa are spectacular. The replaced outdoor shower is newer and very nice, but it was set lower on the wall for shorter people. The kitchen appliances are very nice, recently replaced, lovely. We cooked every breakfast, every lunch and three dinners. The kitchen operated well despite being extremely dated, there were plenty of dishes. The white wrapped kitchen cabinets are old, peeling/damaged and need replacement, but they still worked fine. The kitchen lighting was poor with one old spot light and ceiling light (no under-cabinet lighting) making it difficult to prepare drinks or snacks after dusk- The kitchen needs a renovation. All the beds had nice comfortable newer mattresses with mattress pads (YAY!) (no pillow protectors (boo!) and the DeBordieu luxury cotton sheets/towels were great as were the lovely villa-provided bed coverlets. However, there is no indication that the coverlets are washed after each renter. I washed every coverlet upon arrival to assure cleanliness between renters. Some of the closet-stored pillows need discarding for mildew. With these great positives, the villa desperately needs some adjustments, some are easy and inexpensive to execute today, some require Reno. The living room is large but sadly lacked a large round coffee table that would allow all guests to elevate their feet, or on which to set coffee, drinks, appetizers, books or board game. The two small round gray cocktail stands provided were too small, too few and easily knocked over. We made use of the additional two tiny drink stands, but all of these could not make up for the lack of a good large round 60" coffee table. The entire villa had insufficient lamps- Lamps in the living room or on beside tables all were too few (LR), too short and lacked 100 watt or 3-way bulbs for reading in the evening (or playing a board game on a coffee table!). The old fiberglass bathtub surrounds with 30+ year old glass enclosures were set for pygmies- you have to be under 5'3" to get into shower without hitting head and worse for trying to bathe children in the tub with the limited opening. Better to have tall shower curtain rod with a plain curtain liner and replace as often as necessary when soiled. Better yet, Reno bathroom to allow for 4 bathrooms with the 4 bedrooms as in PPV SEA unit! If the unit sleeps 8, there should always be comfortable seating for 8 in living room and dining room. We do thank you for allowing us to stay in this perfectly located villa with some nicely thought out details but it does need kitchen bathroom Reno.

Great location, beautiful view, with potential, but lacks amenities.

We had a wonderful time on our vacation and loved the Debordieu community! We chose this unit instead of a house because we liked the great location- directly on the beach, and next to the Beach Club & community pools. The house does need substantial updates. Renters should also know that the unit does NOT come with basic necessities such as toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, basic cleaning supplies (ex. windex, dishwasher detergent), and beach towels. The internet nearly non-existent and most of the unit lacked cell phone service. We actually ended up liking being off the grid as it contributed to family time, but checking e-mail was problematic. Back to the great things- we loved Debordieu... the beach was fantastic & not over-crowded...the people were friendly... the staff attentive...and the sunrise- BEAUTIFUL!
