Mountaintown Cottage is a rustic yet modern retreat, thoughtfully designed to help you slow down and soak in the natural beauty of the North Georgia mountains. This single-level home features all the comforts of home, from upscale furnishings to a bubbling hot tub on the screened-in porch, all set beside the serene Mountaintown Creek.



Whether you’re here for a romantic weekend, a peaceful family vacation, or an easy base for hiking and wine tasting, this cottage offers a perfect balance of comfort and charm. Traveling with others? Book one or both sister cabins—Mountaintown Chalet and Mountaintown Retreat—right next door to stay close while enjoying your own private space.







Living Areas



The open living area welcomes you with warm tones, wood accents, and modern farmhouse décor. A cozy plush sofa and matching armchairs create the perfect setting for movie nights, morning coffee, or fireside chats. A gas fireplace adds a soft glow during cooler months, while large windows offer views of the trees and creek just beyond.



This space seamlessly flows into the kitchen and dining area, allowing you to stay connected—whether you're cooking, relaxing, or planning your next adventure.







Kitchen/Dining Areas



The kitchen is fully stocked for whatever kind of meals or snacks your stay calls for. You'll find state-of-the-art appliances, pots and pans, utensils, a blender, a toaster, wine glasses, and a Keurig (bring your favorite pods). Whether you're preparing a home-cooked breakfast or reheating takeout from downtown Ellijay, everything you need is right at your fingertips.



Enjoy your meals at the dining table set beneath a modern chandelier—or take it outside to the screened-in porch for a peaceful dinner surrounded by nature and the soothing sound of the creek.







Bedrooms/Baths



This home features two beautifully appointed bedrooms on the main level. The king suite includes a plush memory foam bed, walk-in closet, and a private en-suite bathroom with dual vanities and a tiled walk-in shower—perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring.



The second bedroom offers a comfortable queen bed and shares easy access to a nearby full bathroom. Both rooms are thoughtfully styled with soft lighting, ceiling fans, and smart TVs for winding down at night.







Outdoor Amenities



Let nature set the tone for your stay. The screened-in back porch features a private hot tub and outdoor seating just steps from the creek. It's the perfect place to relax in the mornings with a cup of coffee or wind down in the evenings under soft lighting and the sound of rushing water.



A short path leads to the firepit, complete with four Adirondack chairs and a charcoal grill—ideal for cozy nights under the stars or laid-back meals by the water. Guests also have access to a private one-mile walking trail that winds through the forest and ends at a peaceful creekside spot.



 



Mountaintown Cottage is a beautifully decorated 2-bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin that sleeps up to four (4) people and offers the following: 



King Bedroom on MAIN, private bath, and 32" flat-screen TV 

Queen bedroom on the MAIN level, 32" flat-screen TV

Fully stocked kitchen with updated stainless steel appliances

The living room has a gas-burning fireplace (only active Oct. 1st - Apr. 1st), a 55" flat-screen TV

Fully equipped kitchen: Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, glassware, utensils, cutlery, pots, and pans. Linens for each bed, two bath towels, 1 hand towel, and one washcloth per person listed on the guest list. A dresser or a closet for clothing storage. Central heat and air, washer/dryer, vacuum,/broom and dustpan, mop, and internet. In addition, we provide complimentary start-up supplies of: Toilet Tissue (1 roll per bathroom), one roll of paper towels, four kitchen garbage bags, dishwasher detergent, dishwashing liquid, and laundry detergent for at least two loads. Many of our cabins include more than this basic list of inventory items. The only items you'll need to bring will be food, beverages, and condiments.







Required Fees include a $125.00 Cleaning fee, a $65 Damage Protection Waiver, a processing fee, a guest service fee, and a 15% lodging tax
