The property was nice, but this is clearly a "young" rental house, as there are still bugs (literal and figurative) to work out. A longer message was supplied to the host to address concerns in communication, amenities, and customer service. But the beds were nice, the towels were clean, and the location was safe and suited our needs.

Our experience with this VRBO property was extremely frustrating and disappointing from start to finish. We booked this home two months in advance and paid in full, receiving confirmation of our stay with no indication of any issues.Four days before our scheduled arrival, I reached out to the host to confirm details and received no response. I followed up again two days prior—still no reply. On the day of arrival, we drove three hours to Austin expecting a smooth check-in at 4:00 PM. After arriving at 4:30 PM with still no communication, I continued calling and emailing the host.Only then did I finally receive a text message stating that the property was “unavailable due to technical difficulties” and that we would be refunded. This message came while we were literally sitting in our car outside the property, with no prior warning or explanation. When I asked for clarification, the host once again failed to respond.When we contacted VRBO directly, we were told the issue was supposedly related to a “minimum age requirement.” This made no sense, as our group consisted of five family members, the youngest being 59 years old. If this were truly the issue, it should have been addressed at the time of booking—not 30 minutes after our scheduled check-in time.This situation was handled extremely poorly. Canceling a fully paid reservation at the last minute is unacceptable.I would strongly caution others before booking this property.
