Escape to a cozy cabin in Frog Pond NC for a pleasant retreat. This 3-bedroom cabin offers a variety of sleeping arrangements, including a bunk bed (twin over a full bed), queen bed, and king bed. With amenities like a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer combo, iron and ironing board, electric fireplace, outside fire pit, gas grill and WiFi, where guests can relax and unwind. The 2 bathrooms feature showers and hair dryers for added convenience. Enjoy Big Bear Creek for swimming, fishing, or even panning for gold when you stay at our place. Nearby attractions include Stanly County Livestock Arena, Morrow Mountain State Park, Lake Tillery, Reeds Gold Mine, Uwharrie National Forest, and several local wineries. We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was very peaceful and well appointed. It was easy to get to the venue we were going to as well as anything else you’d need. Clean, spacious, comfortable inside, fun and relaxing outside! We would stay here again. Host was very attentive and check in and out easy. Loved it

This was such a cozy stay! We were in town visiting family and my toddlers, who could not be consoled the first half of the trip wanting to go home, loved it here! Finally they were able to go to sleep without crying and felt so comfortable. Every room was clean with the softest sheets and a ton of blankets to keep warm under. There's a little stream beside the property and a creek across the street with many other parks and amusements within a short drive. Loved the stay and can't wait to visit again!

This rental is absolutely wonderful! The property has stunning views of the surrounding landscape with plenty of privacy. At night, you also get a gorgeous view of the stars without the light pollution interfering. Inside is beautifully decorated and spotless. We had an amazing time and couldn't have been happier with the experience.

This is our second visit to this property, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The spring weather has been amazing, and our children and grandchildren especially enjoyed playing in the creek.The property itself is beautiful, very comfortable, and well maintained. It’s a peaceful place to relax and spend time together as a family. We would happily return again!

We had another wonderful week at The Vineyard at Big Bear Creek. Our family truly enjoyed our time at the cabin—from relaxing together to playing in the creek and soaking up some much-needed family time.The cabin is comfortable, clean, and well maintained, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. Amazing get away , my and my husband spent Valentine’s Day there and it was perfect ! We love to fish and be outside and it was more than enough to do here. We specifically enjoyed burning wood outside and sitting enjoying the scenery. 10/10

Getting to the property was very smooth, not a long drive off the highway. It was also easy to find via GPS. The outdoor area of the property was really nice and was able to accommodate multiple vehicles. There was a beautiful patio area as well that was a lovely place for us to hang out. The house itself was very clean and had plenty of amenities. We were very grateful for all of the dish-ware and the snacks and wine. Seated on an up and coming vineyard, it was the perfect place for a group of friends to spend a weekend as we celebrated a wedding. The hosts were great to work with and were very quick to respond to any of our questions. We couldn’t recommend this place enough!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was exceptionally clean and stocked with everything we needed. It’s a beautiful property that we all want to come back and explore more. Unfortunately we were only in town for the weekend for a 5k in Concord. Great location. Not too far from grocery stores or restaurants but still more country setting which is perfect for us. We hope to be back again in the near future! Hopefully we’ll be able to come back and see the finished product of the vineyard and venue that is under construction. But do NOT let that stop you from booking! there was no noise or interruption or interference with our stay from construction or anything else. Our host responded quickly with any questions we had and just over all very pleasant and nice.

The house was so comfortable and the hosts thought of so many sweet touches that they added that made our stay really special. The house was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for our visit. Communication was really great, checking was really simple, checkout was a breeze...I wish all of the house rentals we've had were as wonderful as this was.

My family and I had an extended stay at The Vineyard on Big Bear Creek this spring, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The home is incredibly comfortable, thoughtfully maintained, and very well stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.We had three generations staying together, and the property suited all of us perfectly. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out, while still offering great areas to gather and spend quality time together. It’s clear the home is well cared for, which made our stay even more enjoyable.Grocery, pharmacy and area parks are very convenient. We really enjoyed the park in Oakboro - it had great trails to walk and play/picnic areas for kids Overall, we truly enjoyed our time here and would happily return. It’s a great choice for families.

Photos can not capture the beautiful setting and the attention to details that encompass this lovely place. The house and the outdoor spaces exceeded our expectations. The most adorable cabin, so well kept, so nice for a getaway with friends. Loved using the grill and firepit. The creek was a great spot to hangout during the day. It's super private and isolated in the vineyard/woods, but plenty close enough to some towns and grocery stores to get whatever you need. Perfect for our Labor Day Weekend while we were in town for a wedding in Oakboro!

We are Andy and BJ Barbee. After retiring, we chose to move back to Stanly County to invest in the next generation—and that mission is at the heart of everything we do.

Our Vrbo property is part of a larger vision called The Vineyard at Big Bear Creek, LLC, a 33-acre property that includes a managed tree farm, a muscadine grape vineyard, and plans for a future events and wedding venue.

More than just a beautiful getaway, this place is rooted in purpose. Our mission is simple yet powerful:

Basic Steps: Curiosity to Question, Courage to Learn, and Confidence to Achieve.”

Once complete, our events venue will host a variety of youth-focused programs such as:

Summer Drama Camp – promoting teamwork and public speaking
Academic Tutoring – supporting excellence in education
Ask the Pros – seminars led by local tradespeople
Basic Financial Acumen – teaching the foundations of smart money habits

Through these programs, we hope to provide the building blocks for young people to lead confident, capable, and meaningful lives.
