Clean roomy condo perfect for family vacation

The condo was clean, pretty and very roomy, each bedroom has a full bathroom plus there is a powder room in the common area, well-equipped kitchen, two fireplaces, patio, the condo is right next to the pool/Jacuzzi. We could not have asked for a better place to stay during our vacation in La Quinta.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The complex was well manicured and clean. The villa’s kitchen was not well stocked for dining in. The kitchen lacked necessities, e.g., foil, Saran Wrap, napkins, chip clips, baggies, etc. The downstairs bedroom did not have a dresser for storing clothing. The new kitchen table was too large for the dining space and the chairs’ legs were loose and wobbly so we found a crescent wrench in the laundry room and tightened them.

Beautiful place but AC not working

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was great, but unfortunately the AC in the master bedroom was not working so it was extremely hot. The Internet service was horrible unable to connect to the Wi-Fi as it kept going in and out and my child was not able to be on her iPad due to poor connectivity whenever we have downtime. We did see a few dead crickets inside the drawers so not sure those are cleaned out. The place itself was very renovated close to pool which was great. An email was sent out to the managing company but I never heard back from them. Upon check-in we did inquire with the security if all names of August including minors is needed when making reservations. Two different security guards that were there stated that that is not the case. The management company requested names of all minors which was odd to us because we’ve been to that location many times and we’ve never had this information requested by other rental properties. We informed this to the rental manager who insisted on still having the information.

Hello Liliana, We’re very sorry for the issues you encountered during your stay. Unfortunately since our office was closed and you did not call our after hours line we did not see your email to address them until we were back in the office on Monday. During our inspection we did confirm the internet connectivity was intermittent, and after calling Spectrum we discovered that there was a known outage in the area that they were working to fix. The air conditioning unit is actually brand new, but when we checked the master bedroom the air flow is certainly lighter than the rest of the house due to it’s distance to the unit and being upstairs. We had not received feedback like this before so thank you for bringing it to our attention so we can take steps to try to keep our guests more comfortable. The owner of this home has put a lot of effort into updates like new flooring, paint, and furniture, and our number one priority is for our guests to have a great vacation. We hope we’ll have the chance to host your stay again in the future without the hiccups.

The location, at the foot of the mountain was beautiful. The home was in good condition. Access to the pool was very convenient, and the grands loved the big pool. We wished the patio had been a bit larger for outdoor eating, and it would have been convenient if the snack bar had been open during our stay. We will be back!

This townhouse at Legacy Villas was 10++ with the location next to the mountains and just steps from one of the satellite pools. The view at night was so peaceful from the back patio.The inside was so modern and updated, we can't wait to come back and relax again.

Bedrooms are perfect, living space very nice and kitchen well stocked. Our only negative was the oven and stove need to be replaced or repaired. (Only two burners worked and the oven kept setting off the heat alarm when I opened the oven door). Everything else was amazing. I would definitely return!!!!

Nearly "Hot Tub-less" in La Quinta!!

On vacation, I like an early morning hot tub to read & loosen the joints for the day ahead. Though we had 2 hot tubs close by, one never warmed up even during the day, & the other had to be manually turned on if before 8AM, & hence took nearly 30 minutes to be hot; neither conducive to morning reading nor joint warming! Moreover, the kitchen's coffee machine's on/off button was broken off, creating not only a safety & fire hazard, but also requiring hazy, decaffinated morning eyes to use the machine by feeling for the plug & socket "in the dark".... equally dangerous!

Reviewer Comments: While the property location and facilities across the community are quite nice the way this particular property is furnished & maintained needs attention. As an example, when we arrived the dining table only had 5 of the 6 chairs present, and one was broken with a cushion that wasn't attached. We raised this with the Property Mgmt company and while they were responsive, the person they sent to address the issue simply pulled another broken chair out of a closet. Now the dining table had two broken chairs.We also sent in a follow up request but it was ignored / never responded to from the property management company. I offered a detailed list of items that needed to be addressed, but never heard a response.For what we paid, we expected a better experience.

My stay at Legacy Villas....not great.

Thank you for all your help Barbara!The Villa we stayed in is beautiful and a perfect location right next to the big rock mountain and pool. Super convenient! But the villa is very dated. Secondly, the villa was VERY dirty. Whoever is supposed to be cleaning it. Is doing a terrible job! Rug is very dirty and clearly not vacuumed. There were All kinds of dead crickets all over the place along with cobwebs in the corners, smashed crickets on the walls. The walls could use some cleaning if not a new paint job. Tubs were clearly not cleaned prior to our stay. Dead bugs and hairs left behind. I had to rinse the tubs prior to use. The many towels available smelled dirty and were hard as cardboard. I went out and bought detergent along with softener to wash them. Unfortunately, we forgot our towels. The washer and dryer look like they haven't been wiped down in a long time. We were told there would be enough supplies for our stay. Had to go out and also buy trash bag liners and dish soap to be able to wash the dishes. 1 bag liner for the trash cans is NOT enough for 7 guests for 4 days. Including a toddler in diapers.I get there are crickets in the desert. But, I was up all night killing crickets because there were so many. Very very annoying! Especially because, I hate crickets! Maybe some bug control would be a good idea!? I had 3 restless nights due to these annoying pests. Oh, the cutlery and some dishes didnt appear to be washed. So, we washed everything prior to use. I also noticed these little tiny black bugs in the kitchen crawling along the corners. Have no idea what they are. Never seen those before..they are very small. But, they were crawling. I was so excited about this trip. But, was highly disappointed. Btw-there are 2 broken chairs at the dining table. A hole in the wall in the laundry room due to the doorknob. I was not a happy camper! Pools were great Though!

Hi Laura, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Please let us apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay. Unfortunately, the exterminator came to the property too soon before the start of your stay and so you became witness to the critters coming out to die. We have made sure that all future sprays are done well in advance of a guest arrival so that housekeeping has time to go back through. The homeowner has also replaced all of the flooring to luxury wood tiles and repainted the interior so it is looking good as new. We hope that you will give us the chance to host your stay again in the future and show you a true Royale vacation experience.

Great Little Getaway

This is our second time staying at Legacy Villas, and it’s a great property-meticulously maintained and cared for. It has many pools and lovely grounds for exploring. This was our first time, however, staying in this particular 3 bedroom unit. The unit was GREAT. Loved the floor plan, space etc. It is located at the back of the property, against a scenic mountain backdrop. There is a pool right outside the unit-very nice. The unit itself had everything be could want or need, and was clean and clearly well cared for. We had a great stay. Would definitely return.
