I wish there were a 4.5 star rating, because only a few minor glitches kept this review from Excellent.Firstly, the house is gorgeous, and the layout well suited to our party of 4 gals who graduated high school together in 1974. We each had our own spacious bedroom and bath, a great kitchen which we used to the max, a generously sized dining table and a really nice covered patio overlooking a private backyard which would be super for anyone with children. Having a nice laundry room was so convenient. On the downside, the in-fridge ice maker and water dispenser worked fine the first few times, then died. This same issue had been mentioned in prior reviews so either it hasn’t been fixed or it’s a recurring problem with the refrigerator. The freestanding slipper tub in the primary bedroom looked inviting, but as it was filling, water rapidly began leaking out around the base. So no bath, but the shower WAS excellent. The shower in the upstairs bath was also leaking at the base. Some of the furniture needs to be more substantial, particularly the living room sofa and the dining chairs, which feel a bit flimsy and not In keeping with the rest of the house. As mentioned in other reviews, the house is located in a neighborhood that is in transition, but we never felt unsafe and it was super convenient to everything.I have no problem in saying that Marvin was a fantastic host, quickly responding to our questions and concerns. We would definitely stay here again!
