OVERVIEW
Points and Pines Hideaway is a cozy mountain retreat nestled in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in Bailey, Colorado. Bailey is the quieter, more rugged alternative to the I-70 corridor. A 660 square foot cabin, PPH is an affordable option for travelers without sacrificing style and charm. Think "boutique hotel suite in the woods," complete with hot tub, views, and a charming escape vibe.

WHAT’S UNIQUE
A tribute to the wildlife that inhabit the area, (there is a resident moose that often wanders through!) and the pine and aspen grove it sits in, this property was updated in 2025 as an ode to adventure. Located at the edge of the Pike National Forest, the owner designed the home with the spirit of bringing the outdoors in. (The vibe is similar to her other property called Wild Hearts Hollow, located in Paso Robles, CA.)

It's one bed (California King), one bath cabin with a pull out sofa/oversized Double that sleeps up to 4 people. South-facing views on a brand new 40 foot deck and floor-to-ceiling windows are unparalleled in this corner of the world. The hot tub on the deck has 270-degree views that include Regal Lake to the east and the National Forest to the southwest. It has a side yard and is dog friendly. If you’re looking for a quiet basecamp in the mountains that’s close to year-round activities, this place is worth checking out.

GUEST-FIRST DESIGN
As well-seasoned travelers, we know what our guests like to see in their accommodations. For example, we offer outlets where you want them (next to each side of the bed, both USB and traditional outlets), luggage racks so you don't have to fully unpack, dog toys, poop bags, food and water bowls, and a bed for our furry friends, and more. As hosts, we believe our guests should be comfortable and worry-free while experiencing the quiet pleasures and peace that the woods offer.

SLEEPING & BATHROOM SET-UP

Beds
Bedroom: One California King Bed

Living Room: One Oversized Double Bed converted from Sofa (see Welcome Guide for various set-ups!)

There are two closets in the cabin, one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom to store your belongings. Two luggage racks are also provided! Extra pillows and linens are stored in each closet.

The full bathroom is spacious and includes a shower/tub combo complete with shampoo/conditioner/body wash and full length mirror.

KITCHEN & DINING
The kitchen has a coffee bar with complimentary coffee, tea, with a coffee maker, French Press, and kettle to make your first morning stress-free. We provide basic cooking supplies such as pots and pans, mixing bowls, cooking sheets, aluminum foil, olive oil, basic spices etc. There is a dining room table that seats 4. In-unit washer/dryer can be found in the utility closet off the kitchen.

OUTDOOR SET-UP
The 40 foot deck has great views ideal for a relaxing afternoon. Watch the sunset from a seating area overlooking mountains. Star gaze using your favorite app. The neighborhood consists of similar mountain cabin style homes. You feel secluded but are also amongst company, though you will find there are more animals than humans.

The Soaking Point, our secluded hot tub, has 270 degree views of Regal Lake and the surrounding mountains. Due to unpredictable winds, the hot tub cover must remain closed when not in use for safety and to prevent the water from spilling.

You will see many ranches in this community and wandering wildlife. This home represents true mountain living.

WINTER CONDITIONS
The weather up here can change very quickly. We do require guests to have a 4WD or AWD vehicle that can react to weather elements like snow and rain. Snow tires or chains are required by the state during blizzard conditions. All roads leading up to the cabin are paved and maintained by Park County, with the exception of the last 0.4 miles. This road and the cabin are south-facing, which means the snow here is the first to melt when the sun comes out. We do our best to keep our driveway clear of snow and enlist the help of a local snow plower, but it’s not always possible given the remote location. We do not provide refunds due to weather and/or driving conditions. Light shoveling of the path leading from the driveway to the front of the home may be needed by our guests during winter months. We store a shovel and ice scraper inside the utility room for this purpose.

Enjoyed the secluded and quiet nature of the property. Enjoyed the hot tub and the nice views from it. Kitchen had everything you need. The living room couch wasn't comfortable for watching a movie. The listing indicates the couch in the living room was a queen bed pullout however that is not an accurate description. If you're short and don't mind sleeping on the equivalent of a board this is the pullout couch for you. The listing says sleeps 1-4 but my opinion is it would sleep no more than 2 adults. Any additional humans would need to be children. My stay at the property in November without snow on the ground was a chilly one. We had thermostat at 74 and it didn't feel like that all the time maybe due to lakh of insulation and older windows. Come prepared with layers in the winter. Property was clean except the windows and a few cobwebs. No big deal. Blinds on the big window in the living room need to be replaced.
