Le Davis Cottage est l'unité supérieure d'un duplex et est situé directement sur l'eau. L'unité inférieure est également une location gérée à l'extérieur de Golden Isles Realty. Il y a une grande terrasse et lorsque la marée est haute, l'eau aura l'impression d'être à la hauteur de vos orteils! Toutes les pièces de cette maison historique, sauf une, offrent une vue imprenable sur le son. Vous ne pouvez vraiment pas vous rapprocher du village! La zone d'amusement est juste au coin de la rue. Le chalet Davis a trois chambres et deux salles de bain. Les lits se composent de 1 lit king, 1 lit queen et 3 lits jumeaux. Les frais de nettoyage supplémentaires sont de 200 $. Stayed her in 2012

Expect an old beach house. Right on the beach, good views, beach does disappear at high tide. This apartment is on the top floor so expect stairs. It is clean, not a gourmet kitchen but it gets the job done. The bathrooms are small. I would not want to stay here when someone is renting the bottom floor because it is not very sound proof but luckily no one stay below until the last night we were there. Close to playground, village and pier.

Very Tired Accomadation / Cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage has an excellent location on the beach next to Pier Village. This is the “Only” plus for the unit. Advertising states recent renovations and new furniture. Nothing in the unit is new or even close to new. The photos online do not depict the condition of the rental:Cleanliness:- All beds top covers were extremely dirty and soiled. As the appliances onsite are too small to accommodate washing these we had to request them be picked up and cleaned. One bedspread had a blood stain on it. - All (old and yellow) light switches were sticky and dirty. All doorknobs kitchen cupboards / handles and window glass required cleaning (which we accomplished ourselves although we were charged a cleaning fee)Living Room: - Floors extremely warped and sloped inland. This may depict a structural or wood deterioration problem under the floors. - Couches are very uncomfortable with a large metal bar in center between the two cushions. One couch allows you to sink into a hole in the corner which must be stuffed with a pillow to sit at that location. Most uncomfortable seating of any rental I have accommodated.- Multiple antiquated lamps not functioning- Door to master bedroom drags across carpet and wakes up whoever may be sleeping. - Large patio doors full of moisture and condensation most mornings. Very dirty and not clear. - End deck of the living room has no working exterior light- Photos online do not depict same table and chairs located in dining area. Six chairs in photo as opposed to four. Bedrooms:- Master bedroom mattress very old. (I could not guess the age nor the age of the very yellowed mattress cover). We purchased our own bedding due to the condition of the supplied bedding. We also purchased our own pillows. - Master bedroom windows rusted closed and the screens are non-existent or torn. - Master bedroom blinds falling apart and non-functional- Knobs and handles missi

I assure you the property does not have black mold; the high humidity (which is unfortunately common in our area) combined with heavy rainstorms caused some mildew buildup in a few areas, which you will recall we took care of as soon as it was brought to our attention. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this property is perfect! Proximity to the pier, restaurants and shops was great! You can't get any closer to the ocean. It is worth noting that the beach is gone with each high tide. The condition of the inside of the property is poor. Carpets in severe need of replacing, the ceiling had holes. Overall, the location made up for this, but updates could make this property perfect!

Nothing fancy here just a clean please with an above average supply of kitchen tools. The location and view are the thing. This place is right on the water - no exaggeration.

Disappointed

If accommodations do not matter but you want to be on the water this is your place. Very tired and dated inside and cooking utensils needIng replacement. If you go, bring everything as nothing is offered. Best part was the porch, but bring your own chairs. We will not return.

10th Anniversary Trip to Davis Cottage

The trip could have been excellent, but there was a SAFETY HAZARD on the landing and my daughter sprained her ankle on the first day. The other issue is the porch furniture is in very POOR shape. The new porch and new AC were GREAT! This was our 10th anniversary trip and we will back!

Best view in St. Simons!

If you are looking for luxury, this isn't your place. But if you are truly seeking a true beach experience - you can't go wrong here. Between the ocean views, dolphin sightings, and the short walk to the village - it is perfect!
