My family and I live just outside of Charles City and I grew up just North of town between the towns of Floyd and Colwell, IA. I love spending time in the outdoors fishing, hunting and boating. I also love coaching my sons baseball team and watching him play. My wife and I have 2 rescue dogs that keep us busy and on the go all the time. I work as an Insurance Agent for Farm Bureau Financial Services and my wife works for Snap Fitness Corp as a regional director. We also own the Snap Fitness 24 hour gym on the Mainstreet of Charles City along with a Smoothie bar called "McCoy Smoothies and More" (which I highly recommend you check out while you are in town staying!) This is the first property and experience I have had as a VRBO Host and I am excited to show off the community that I live and work in. There is some incredible history in this town and in Floyd County and several hidden treasures and cool experiences you and your family can enjoy. We have updated and upgraded our property to make it feel like your home away from home and we love to hear from our guests on things they liked and things they would like us to change or improve. I had a client walk into my office one day asking if Farm Bureau could insure estates because she was the executor of an estate for a close friend that had recently passed away. She gave me the address and although I grew up here all my life I was completely unfamiliar with the property. So I drove to the address she had given me, and as I walked up to it and seen the view of the river and the privacy of the location I instantly fell in love with the property and could see all of the potential it had. I worked with the estate when the property went up for sale and was fortunate to get it bought and the rest is history. The idea of Bone's Backwater Retreat was born.
Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique
The property sits just inside city limits but with private river access and the incredible view of the Cedar River you would not know it. Adjacent to the property and across the street Lions Field City Park sits, with baseball diamonds, public pool, shelter houses, playground and connects to the Charlie Western Bike Trail. The street the property sits on is a dead end and we are the second from last property to the end. The opposite side of the cabin is flanked by the Cedar River and right across the river is a wildlife refuge where deer, turkey,ducks, and Eagles can be seen regularly. Its a very very unique property with lots and lots of options for adventure, fun, or relaxation.
