Un refuge de rêve à la maison à 38 minutes en train de Manhattan. Design gothique, plafonds de 20 pieds, salles de bain rénovées de style parisien. Plein de lumière naturelle et de lucarnes. 2 walk-in et 2 placards supplémentaires deux salles de bain et une cuisine complète. Planchers de bois franc teint bleu aqua partout.


L'espace
La maison est située à New Rochelle, une ville située à 40 minutes environ de Manhattan. New Rochelle est desservie par le système Metro-North et Amtrack à côté de la route I_95. Sortez à 16 et 15 minutes en voiture de WhitePlains s, la capitale du comté de Westchester. La maison est située près du centre-ville de New Rochelle et à sept pâtés de maisons de la gare de New Rochelle; autour de la maison il y a: 3 supermarchés, 1 pharmacie, Mac Donalds, plusieurs restaurants et banques .La maison est une propriété avec aprox 100 ans, mais totalement rénové, comme vous pouvez le voir sur les photos.

La maison est un étage avec un grenier. Il y a 2 placards de marche et 3 placards réguliers ainsi que deux salles de bains privées. et un kithen complet. Il y a 3 lits au grenier; 1 lit queen et 2 lits jumeaux, et un lit queen dans chaque chambre au deuxième étage. Il y a une entrée privée au deuxième étage et grenier. Il n'y a pas de restrictions sur le temps d'accès à la propriété. Vous aurez vos propres clés.

La zone env. du grenier est de 2000 pieds carrés
 Chaque garde-robe a une fenêtre située au plafond, vous permettant de voir clairement les objets pendant la journée. Ils ont un éclairage électrique. Une salle de bains est située au deuxième étage et l'autre salle de bains est située dans le grenier. C'est une salle de bain pleine de lumière avec les lucarnes et les fenêtres qu'elle possède. La salle de bain a une douche et une baignoire.

Aperçu
La maison est située à 38 minutes de Manhattan (New York City), dans un quartier calme et sûr de New Rochelle, à 2 pâtés de maisons de la mer, en limitant avec le charmant village de Larchmont. A 8-11 minutes à pied / 5 minutes en voiture de la gare, à 8 minutes à pied de la plage locale et du parc principal; 8 minutes en voiture du maire College (2 miles). New Rochelle est située sur le détroit de Long Island et abrite une grande communauté de navetteurs de New York. . New Rochelle est une ville légèrement plus grande, avec une communauté diversifiée et un mélange de divers bons restaurants dans le centre-ville et le long de l'océan. La maison est à 2 pâtés de maisons du port de plaisance de la ville, qui offre une chance pour une très belle promenade au bord de l'océan. Nous sommes à 15-20 minutes en voiture du zoo et des jardins botaniques du Bronx.

Se déplacer
Gare à Manhattan 5 minutes en voiture ou 8-11 minutes à pied. Trains vers Grand Central à Manhattan toutes les 30 minutes. Dernier train de retour de Manhattan à 1h50 tous les jours (voir les exceptions dans les horaires des trains). Des taxis sont toujours disponibles à la gare. Il existe plusieurs services de taxi.

Kitchen is well stocked. Lots of towels and bathroom supplies--very much appreciated! Would be nice if the common sitting area had a TV. Bonus: short walk to train station.

Excellent home and location

Luz is absolutely accommodating. The home is clean and location is perfect for easy access into NYC- either by train (about 30 min into Grand Central) or by car. There is a parking space in the back of the house, which makes driving very easy too. I would absolutely stay again and would recommend this house to others.

Victorian beauty convenient to NYC

This house served as our base camp while we worked in NYC for 4 weeks. It is much prettier and more spacious than the photos suggest. It is absolutely immaculate; no dust or speck of dirt anywhere. We used the kitchen daily which has every pot/pan/tool you need. I missed is a full oven but the toaster oven accommodated anything I baked. There was a coffee maker, a large Kuerig, toaster, gas cooktop, dw and microwave: all clean and relatively new! Two full bathrooms were well appointed with luxurious towels and good lighting. Hairdryers, shampoos/conditioners/soaps and kleenex are provided. The beds had premier linens. Each room had work space as well as tvs. I was concerned the master bedroom attic would be warm but with many casement windows we barely used the ac. The master itself was private, had great light and a large desk. The owner could not have been more attentive as she updated the internet booster and reset the tvs within minutes of my request. She also offered use of a lovely private front porch. The location is a flat half mile walk to the New Rochelle train station. Parking was available . I ran each am down to the waterfront (within 0.5 mi or 2 mi to the beautiful Glen Island park) and found the neighborhood safe and family friendly.....there is even a Dunkin donuts less than 0.3 mi down the street. Best for families and those who like to spread out and relax. Host Luz is incredibly friendly and helpful. A gem indeed!

Great house to explore NY

We used the house as a base camp for 7 days to explore New York. It is located in an area of New Rochelle with beautiful single family homes. The house dates from 1905, but has been completely and very extensively renovated. It looks like new and very clean. We immediately fell in love with the house, which is in a very good environment. If you walk there you will be greeted warmly by the neighborhood. We felt safe at all times. We didn't expect anything like this from New York. The house has a complex recirculation system and air conditioning. This meant we had a pleasant climate in the house even when the temperatures were very hot. The owners live on the ground floor and use a separate entrance. As a tenant you have the main entrance as well as the first and second floors. Thus you are completely separated from the owners. The owner Luz is very friendly and helps where she can. But you won't be disturbed if you want to be alone. If we had questions, we did so via text message and then spoke to her in person. If you have a car, you can use a parking space in the yard. The house is within walking distance of the New Rochelle train station. There are trains to New York every 30 minutes with a journey time of just 33 minutes. And also in walking distance you have shops to get food and things you need. We are absolutely thrilled and would not hesitate to book again if we come back to New York.

Luz a été une hôtesse très accueillante et très attentive à nos désirs. Le seul point noir fut la Wifi qui était très très fluctuante, mais comme ce n’était pas primordial pour nous nous n’en avons même pas parlé à Luz. AMAZING HOST AND LOCATION!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The place is impeccable, full of light everywhere, fantastic bay windows and a wonderfully equipped new kitchen full of beautiful china, which inspires you to cook a lot. And the rustic marble bathroom is beautiful and spacious. There’s also a small living living room right outside the room to gag out, and the lovely old porch surrounded by trees. Luz is a phenomenally polite and welcoming hostess. The house is an old Victorian from the beginning of the century, but it has been remodeled completely with great taste and attention to details, keeping it very spacious & sophisticated. I basically recommend this rental to anyone. It just added to my experience of New York in a wonderful way, as it’s only 28 mins train ride to grand central station in Manhattan. Additionally, I highly recommend a walk to the local marina, just 3 blocks away. Great area for a run.

Beautiful home and exceptional experience!

What a gorgeous home and incredible host! Everything was impeccably clean with great accommodations. The attic/loft is so spacious with a beautiful view, peaceful, and the bathroom has a clawfoot tub that is a dream. The other rooms and beds very comfortable and spacious as well. The kitchen and dinning area is nice and fully equipped and includes a Keurig which is a major plus :) The neighborhood is lovely and feels safe with plenty of parking. Stella, our host was very communicative and really took care of us. I highly recommend this spot and will definitely be back. Thank you so much for having us in your home!!

Excellent stay

My family of four stayed at Luz’s apartment for 5 weeks while we were in between houses. Luz was easy to communicate with and went above and beyond to make sure my family was comfortable during our stay. The apartment is immaculate, the kitchen fully stocked and the beds comfortable. The location is ideal to downtown NewRo, and walking distance to the waterfront, a park and Patsy’s pizzeria. A huge thank you to Luz for being such a gracious host!

Janet, thank you very much for your comment. Regarding parking there are more than 10 blocks of free parking in the streets. We may not be able to explain. However, parking on our driveway is offered to guests, if they are willing to share the area with our two vehicles and move the car if necessary. Parking is also possible in the backyard area of the house.

Spacious apartment with few drawbacks

This attractive 3 BR on two levels actually has a small potential 4th BR, which is called the living room. The house is large and at least 100 years old. The owners are on the 1st floor (but the owners' unit has a separate door off the entrance, so you don't walk into their unit). They will greet you and provide keys. To get inside, first you must carry everything from the street up to the front porch level. Parking is on the street and might require a short search if you get there after dark. The apt is on levels 2 and 3, so you must carry your bags up quite steep staircases once inside. The owner asks you to remove your shoes (so you might slide in your socks while carrying bags up the slippery steps). The A/C worked well, and the water pressure was good. The bedrooms were exceptionally nice (especially the third floor attic one), the small kitchen was modern and well equipped. You may use anything previous residents left there, per the owner. Some old items we found were outdated, but there was some coffee and a few edible items in the fridge and cabinets. Overall, the feel was funky/quirky, but the owners spend a lot of time cleaning and preparing the unit, which is impressive for a short rental apartment.

Wonderful stay in New Rochell

This was a wonderful property in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of stores restaurants and public transportation. The home was newly painted and very clean with most everything one would want. Luz was awesome and helpful in accommodating an unexpected guest to our family gathering. She could not have been more helpful and gracious! I will keep this gem in mind next trip to New Rochell!!

Comfortable, artistic place to stay in New Rochelle

Luz was a phenomenal host, going out of her way to make sure the property was spotless for us to enjoy. She was friendly and informative, but gave us our space most of the visit. The house is gorgeous and artistically done. We will definitely return here next time we travel to New Rochelle.

Great location and a good option for a group or family.

The house was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and had many lovely touches. Our host Luz was warm and welcoming. She answered all of my questions before we arrived, and was on hand to offer whatever help we needed. She even contacted me a week later to say she had found a watch under the sofa that we had left behind! I hope to stay with Luz again and would highly recommend her place to anyone.

Beautiful house, great location, interesting experience

We were visiting for a wedding and the house was in a great location for all that we needed. The house itself is beautiful and was very clean. However, there were a couple of issues. Even though check in time is stated as 4pm, the house was not ready by the time we arrived at 5pm and was not completed until after 7pm. We had let the owner know in advance that we would be arriving around 5pm. Secondly, the owners live in the lower levels of the house, not “nearby” as the description states. This meant that when we were out of the house, they would come into our rented portion. We can appreciate that they were cleaning and removing trash, however, we were not notified in advance that they would be doing so. The critical issue was when we came home from the wedding and found the front door, which we had locked, wide open. One of our group checked the house to make sure that there was not anyone in the house that shouldn’t have been there. Turns out it was one of the owners who had left the door open, but as we didn’t know this it was an unsettling experience. Overall a pleasant stay, but just a few things to be mindful of.

I chose this neighborhood because it offers the perfect blend of tranquility, charm, and convenience. The home is located in New Rochelle, a peaceful and safe community in Westchester County, just 38 minutes from Manhattan by train. It’s close enough to enjoy everything New York City has to offer, yet far enough to unwind by the sea and experience a slower, more relaxed rhythm of life.


The area is full of character, with tree-lined streets, friendly neighbors, and easy access to both nature and city comforts. Within walking distance, you’ll find the train station, the local beach, Hudson Park, and the city marina, where you can enjoy beautiful strolls along the water. Glen Island Park and its scenic trails are also nearby.


New Rochelle is known for its diverse, welcoming community and wonderful mix of restaurants, cafés, and local shops. Some of my favorites include Maria Restaurant (a two-Michelin-star dining experience), Modern, The Gnarly Vine, Patsy’s Pizzeria, Mamma Francesca Trattoria, and Coromandel Cuisine of India. Just a short drive away, the nearby village of Larchmont offers a European atmosphere with charming bakeries, wine shops, and cheese boutiques, while Mamaroneck along Route 1 has even more delightful dining options.


Beyond the food and culture, what I love most is the access to nature. New Rochelle offers over nine miles of shoreline, 231 acres of public parks, and a beautiful marina for sailing or seaside walks. The Bronx Zoo and New York Botanical Gardens are only a short drive away, making it easy to plan family outings or weekend adventures.


It’s a neighborhood that truly has everything—a sense of peace, a touch of sophistication, and a welcoming community. Whether you’re here for a few days or a longer stay, it’s a place that makes you feel both connected and at home.

It’s a spacious two-story Victorian apartment that has been lovingly restored to balance timeless character with the comforts of modern living. Every room tells a story — from the high ceilings and light-filled interiors to the aqua-blue hardwood floors that give the space a vibrant, artistic personality.

Unlike most properties in the area, this apartment offers two full levels of living space, one complete kitchen, and a fenced backyard surrounded by tall pine trees for added privacy. It’s large enough to host families, corporate groups, or friends traveling together, yet it still feels intimate and welcoming. The layout allows guests to gather, cook, and share moments together while also enjoying quiet corners for rest and relaxation.

The location makes it even more special. Just 38 minutes from Manhattan and within walking distance to the beach, the marina, and downtown New Rochelle, guests can easily experience both the calm of coastal living and the excitement of the city.
