Really comfortable home in a beautiful spot with very nice neighbors. And the host was very responsive when we had questions. My young kids loved it so much. The beach was perfect for little kids. They’ve been saying they miss the lake house since we left.

The view is incredible and the place is charming. Janice is an excellent host and does everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. We've been coming to this same place for years and will continue to do so.

Beautiful view right on the edge of the lake. Very clean, simple decor of a vacation property, Owner very responsive. Overall highest praise for our visit. Hope to return.

Beautiful lakefront site located near all the Midcoast has to offer. We enjoyed beautiful mornings sipping coffee while the hummingbirds visited, and peaceful evenings stargazing and listening to the loons. House is on a small cove protected from strong winds, and with walk-in accessibility it was perfect for lazy floating and paddling, while still open to the full lake for more adventurous outings. Janice was a gracious host, very communicative and responsive.

Damriscotta Magic

This was our second year renting Janice is beautiful cabin. With incredible views of Damariscotta and breathtaking sunrises, it was our little slice of paradise for a week. Highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful spot on Damriscotta with wide lake views, dock, and beach. Janice was very responsive and took very good care of us-just the unplugging we needed!

Clean and well prepared. It was hot, glad for the AC. Boat launch right next to property. Quiet, though many cabins near by. Cats loved it.

Perfect spot

The house was perfect and the location can't be beat. We enjoyed kayaking and swimming in the lake. We were also close enough to the ocean to make some day trips. Janice is a great host and we are so glad that we got to meet her. We already want to come back as it was so hard to leave!

Such a lovely spot

Beautiful serene area in the lake. Rental and amenities were as described. Clean. Comfortable. Great area. No issues and yard is well maintained by the host. Great vacation.

Perfect Family Getaway

My parents had stayed in this exact cottage more than 30 years ago when I was just a child. We returned this year just to revisit those memories! The house was exactly as listed; its not an extravagant cabin, but it has everything you need. Access to the lake could not be easier: a dock right there, plus a boat ramp just to the side of the camp. The neighbors were all very friendly, as was the owner and her family!

We had a great time. The cove was quiet. The beach area is shared but we had it to ourselves most of the week. The camp was well stocked and Janice was very pleasant. We had an issue with the cable service and she came out immediately to help us.

Water's Edge

Our stay at the lake was very nice. You can't ask for a better spot. We like a simple lakeside experience and Janice's cottage provides all of the simple amenities. Her cottage is clean and comfortable and the property is well kept. You will be in close proximity to other cottages, which we were aware of having rented the same place before. But you should expect to interact with other people using the lake. Everyone was very pleasant.

Amazingly perfect!

I stayed with my 9 year old, 7 year old and 1 year old twins. It was perfect! The porch was great for the twins to push their walkers around. There was even a big paved area for them to also use. It really couldn't have been more kid friendly. The cove has a great wind break so my big kids could paddle around in the kayaks or canoe without being affected when the wind picked up. I enjoyed sitting outside after the kids were asleep and listening to the birds. Early mornings with coffee were equally great!

Wonderful spot!

Everything as expected at this beautiful waterfront oasis. We built a couple of fires outdoors and enjoyed the really dry wood and listened to the loons calls as the sun set. Everything in the cottage was comfortable and easy to live in. I also really appreciated that little things were stocked, like granulated sugar in the cupboard. Toothpaste, bug spray etc in the bathroom. Janice was very helpful the couple of times I call.

Comfortable Lakefront Fishing Cottage

Peacefull location yet near to coastal attractions and lobsters! Even a midweek (rare) Maine Noreaster did not stop the fish from biting. A special thanks to the owner for her assistance when we had to repair our boat trailer. Good times and great views!

Perfection!

We had the most perfect week here! Janice was very friendly and accommodating and was very quick to respond to questions. The house is right by the water and PERFECT for little kids. Our boys were either in the water or digging on the beach the whole time, and we were able to have adult time on the lake while kids napped (it’s so close we could hear the baby monitor from the water). The porch was amazing for hanging out and grilling on in the evenings, and the fire pit was a huge bonus. Our trip was everything we could have asked for, we’re already looking forward to coming again next summer.

Excellent location on the lake. Dock handled our boating requirements easily. The cottage was clean, very well equipped, and comfortable. Janice, property owner, was wonderful and gracious. Our stay there was relaxing and fun.

A beautiful, quiet cottage on a lovely lake

We had such a wonderful vacation and Water’s Edge. Janice is a fantastic host and very thoughtful and kind. I arrived later than expected and she went back to the property to turn the lights on for me. The cottage is clean, cute and very welcoming. We instantly felt relaxed and at peace. The neighbors are friendly and the area is very private and peaceful. We really enjoyed swimming and grilling and making fires I. The evening. It was a great relaxing getaway and exactly what we need. Thanks so much Janice! We hope to return next year!

Fun relaxing vacation!

This is our second year in a row here. We truly love the property and the view. The easy access beach and cove make this a perfect getaway spot for us. Friendly neighbors and great kayaking with many different species of birds calling the lake home. It is a clean, well stocked summer cottage. Janice is a very hardworking host who responds well to issues. The updates she made since last season have helped brighten the camp and made our stay more enjoyable. Thank you so much!

Awesome location!

We had such a great week at this property, and Janice was a great host. It's STEPS from the water, awesome beachy area that is great for kids. There is a nice dock for your boat, and the community launch is right there (and was completely unused during our stay)! It felt very private and quiet, and as long time Damariscotta lake people, it was really wonderful. Highly recommend!

Great place

Janice was a great host. When walking in I noticed right away that the place was deep cleaned very well. The location was great and if you needed and Janice was right there. The place was fully stocked and I would highly recommend coming back. Last I took my teenage kids to the beach for the day and they ask me to go back home that they would rather be back at the lake.
