Potters Studio - 100 acres de paradis!

100 hectares de paradis entourés de magnifiques escarpements des Blue Mountains, de forêts paisibles et de prairies ouvertes.

Niché au pied du mont Blackheath avec des kangourous, des échidnas, des goannas, des wombats et des myriades d'oiseaux à votre porte, et un choeur de grenouilles au crépuscule, ce paradis pour les amoureux de la nature est un paradis.

LE STUDIO

Conçu et construit par l'Australien Potter John Robertson à l'aide de matériaux naturels et de bois recyclé, alliant simplicité rustique et confort, le studio est complètement déconnecté du réseau, alimenté par l'énergie solaire et alimenté en eau de source naturelle.

Il y a 2 chambres à l'étage, une salle de douche et une toilette à compost séparée, une cuisine ouverte et des salons avec 2 cheminées en bois Nectre et une grande véranda pour profiter de la vue.

Des matériaux écologiques sont utilisés dans la mesure du possible. Literie 100% lin lavé à la pierre; Couettes de laine de fabrication australienne, de mohair et d'oreillers en duvet de canard; des serviettes en coton de qualité, des bouillottes et des tapis persans en laine noués à la main sont fournis pour votre confort.



AUTRES CHOSES À NOTER

Ceci est la télévision et une retraite Wi-Fi gratuite. Des réceptions mobiles 3G / 4G sont disponibles, mais nous encourageons nos clients à éteindre leurs appareils mobiles et à se promener dans la magnifique vallée de Kanimbla. Apportez vos vélos et allez faire un tour, essayez le yoga pendant les couchers de soleil roses, méditez sous d'anciens gommiers, allez faire une promenade à cheval, roulez dans l'argile bleue du barrage. Ou simplement vous allonger sur la véranda avec ce livre que vous avez toujours voulu lire, mais vous n’avez jamais eu le temps de le faire, et vous plonger dans les chansons d’oiseaux australiens avec des papillons qui planent.

Il y a tellement de choses à voir et à expérimenter: laissez votre enfant intérieur prendre vie pour jouer et profiter des simples offres de la nature.

Great location and spectacular views. The house its self was just lovely and felt cozy and comfortable. Waking up to the view from the bedroom was incredible. The property was packed with wildlife and great bird watching to keep you entertained while you have your morning coffee on the deck. Will definitely have to come back. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Megalong Beauty

Beautiful property set amongst the lovely Megalong Valley escarpment. We saw plenty of wildlife ranging from ducks, parrots, kangaroos and wallabies. Megalong Tearooms was a great place for breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay.

A relaxing holiday in the quiet bush of the Blue Mountains

The property is a wow. Plenty of space inside with a rustic charm that is modern. An ideal spot to recharge with the bush. If you love birdlife this is a must. The two of us and our two dogs just loved the place.

Peace and tranquility

This is a beautiful property. The views are just stunning and it’s so peaceful. All you can hear is birdsong. The house is very attractive, clean and well appointed with everything you need. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is fabulous. The hosts, Anya and Michael, were great. We’ve had a wonderful stay at this property and we would definitely like to return again one day for another holiday.

Perfect and Picturesque

The bird life on the property was wonderful, being greeted by crimson rosellas every morning while enjoying a cup of tea. The views were breathtaking, when the sunset hits the surrounding cliffs it was spectacular to see. The house was clean and warm, with a rustic charm. My pups didn't want to leave and neither did I, they made good friends with the cocker spaniel residents who were very fun. We will definitely be returning.

Our host Anya was very good at communicating with us before and during our stay. Potters Studio is brilliant. So quiet. We did not hear sound from another human being for the three days we were there. Just sounds of beautiful birds and other wildlife. We saw wallabies just outside the house grazing by the pond. And kangaroos jumping in the grasses nearby. The bathroom and toilet were great. The bedroom amazing with its views, although it got hot at night as it does not have air con and we had a heatwave during our stay Downstairs stays cool as it does have air con. It’s beautifully furnished and the kitchen is very well kitted out. Nice big fridge freezer The bbq needs some skill to cook effectively on as it has no vents to control cooking - it’s just a beer barrel cut in half - not a designed BBQ. But if you know what you are doing around BBQ’s it works fine. Plenty of charcoal supplied by Anya so we cooked on it every nightWe had planned to eat out in Blackheath at least one night but when we arrived and saw how beautiful the location is we just stayed there for three days without leaving. We would highly recommend Porters Cottage if like to escape the holiday crowds and live with the wild nature - but in comfort rather than camping !

A hidden Gem.

This place is a hidden gem. My partner & I had a wonderful time here. We both paint & spent our time painting the incredible surroundings. It’s so serene. There is a steep staircase to the upstairs, so perhaps not great for elderly or very small children, but plenty of open plan areas to be still & just be. Teaming with chirping native birds Ever changing colours in the sky & also the rocky escarpment Which you can enjoy from the comfort of the upstairs bed or walking around the property. The lovely owners have clearly put a lot of work into this beautiful place.

Loved it

Had an amazing honey/babymoon here. The drive down to the cottage from Blackheath feels like entering another world, there is definitely a part on the way that feels a bit like Jurassic Park. The house itself is amazing as you can see in photos with a unique and eclectic style that feels both homely and different enough to be "on holidays". The kitchen is a joy to cook in, the shower is hot and the beds as comfy as any high end hotel. The scenery and view from the patio, bedroom and walking around are amazing and really inspire a sense of awe. So many little touches from the variety of teas to the fresh flowers in vases around made this feel so special. Thanks so much for having us and hopefully we will be back again one day.

Getting your all-important Nature fix !

The location of the property is the perfect antidote to fast-paced city life; an idyllic bush setting with views to the mountains and the feeling of being remote yet being only 20 min away from services. Finding the location of the property and check-in were made very easy by Ana. The master bedroom in the accomodation has a magnificient vista of the valley and mountains. The cottage is spacious with multiple lounge and dining areas as well as a shaded deck to relax and dine. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for cooking up a storm. I found that the combination of the setting, views and the sounds of the birds and frogs made it the perfect place to really relax fully !

Great Hideaway

Me and a couple of friends came to the Blie Mountains for a few days to run in the UTA starting in Katoomba. House was only 30 minutes away and perfect for what we wanted. All the fires were set up for us when we arrived, the beds were very comfortable, the view from the house was great and it was a very relaxing vibe. No issues with 4G working and the kitchen had all the appliances you would want. We didn’t get to explore the property as much as we would have wanted as we were all too sore after our race but we would definitely stay here again.

Loved it!

My partner and I absolutely loved the Potters studio. The pictures don’t do it justice. Such a beautiful house- much bigger than I expected. The view was amazing, the kitchen was equipped with quality utensils, the bed was comfy and there were so many little details that set this accomodation apart. Really great for relaxing and resetting.

Relaxing and peaceful mountain getaway

Absolutely loved Potters Studio! We were greeted by a warm fire lit in the fireplace upon arrival , which was a welcome relief from the rain. The view from the main bedroom was breathtakingly beautiful to wake up to every morning we were there and loved watching the native birds, wallabies and even had two cute rabbits pay us a visit. We will definitely be coming back❤️

Amazing stay

The house, the land and the area are all amazing with plenty of things to do and see around the area. Fireplaces were set up for use upon arrival and the house was very clean. Thankyou very much for the amazing stay!!!!
