The property was very clean, beautiful views, immediate access to the beach. The beds were comfortable and necessities were provided, like dishes, towels, working appliances, washer & dryer, (all clean). We were comfortable and had a wonderful vacation that will be remembered for years to come.All my photos exceeded the size limit.

Very clean home. The view from the house was great! Beach was clean and not crowded. Saw dolphins everyday from our spot on the beach. Enjoyed our stay!

We had a few maintenance issues but we enjoyed the location and house. We will be booking again. We loved having our dogs with us.

A very nice property. House was perfect and as close as you can get to the ocean. Driveway can be tricky to find in the dark andin the pouring rain but not that bad.At the entrance to driveway, you have to be careful. If you get in middle to much, theres a possibility of getting stuck

Dolphins and pelicans

We were at this property for about 2 1/2 weeks. I think we saw dolphins swim by on most days unless water was too choppy. Loved this! Also enjoyed watching the pelicans dive for their food. Had an issue with the internet on the first day but it was resolved quickly (an issue outside the unit). Very comfortable stay. Great sized kitchen as well as master bedroom/bathroom.

Best Place Ever Rented

Our entire family loved staying at Island Dream East. It was well-stocked, everything was labeled which made cooking, etc. so much easier. The mattresses and bedding were very comfy. We played some of the games provided and also read some of the books. The owners really thought of everything. We could walk right out the back door & onto the beach. We are from NC & have never been to the gulf. It was without a doubt one of our top vacations ever! We loved staying in this location away from the crowds, but didn't mind the drive into Gulf Shores if we needed or wanted to. If we have the chance to return one day, we will schedule our vacation around the availability of this house.

Has great potential

We enjoyed our stay but felt like there was a lot of maintenance that needed to be done. We loved being right on the beach and the location was great. I wish the listing didn’t state entire house while nothing being mentioned that it is actually a duplex. Tho it might not would have detoured us from staying there,we definitely would have thought long and hard before making the decision since you never know how the people on the other side of the wall will be. We like getting a house so we don’t have to worry about thin walls and loud neighbors. Communication with the office was easy and when we contacted them to make sure they knew of some things that were messed up before we got there, they were quick to respond and make sure we didn’t need immediate assistance. We did tell them it was fine since anything shy of renovating something in every room of the house wouldn’t help. They did state the owners were coming in the following week and they were to fix the problematic things. Overall we enjoyed our time away with our little family and made many great memories. If things were fixed we would definitely consider staying again.

PERFECT BEACH HOLIDAY

The place was absolutely perfect for our group. Our 4 teenagers were perfectly comfortable in the bunkroom and the adult rooms were clean and roomy. Kitchen was amazingly well stocked and perfectly laid out for the big meals our group of 8 made. Furniture was clean and comfortable and being right on the beach was AMAZING. Never heard the neighbors in the other half while inside and barely while outside. Plenty of beach space to spread out and a restaurant/store within a stroll down the beach. I really can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Thank you to Reed for a super smooth process and communication. Thank you to the owners for such a wonderful rental. We are already planning a return trip!

Fun relaxing week

Simple experience renting. We loved the clean, cozy atmosphere of the home. Easy access to beautiful beaches. The owners furnishings were perfect for a modern beach home. The house was packed with everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this property!!!

Comfortable

The house was great, plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 children, very comfortable furnishings- indoors and out- and a well equipped kitchen. The kids enjoyed walking down the stairs to immediately have sand on their feet. The toys in the bunk room were a nice surprise along with a variety of books for all ages on shelves around the house. We enjoyed our stay.

Away from it all

We had a wonderful stay and break away from our business. Was terrific to have the beach right outside. Views were perfect! A few maintenance items but left a list for manager in their mailbox at office. Would definitely stay here again!

Pleasantly Surprised! Wonder week away!

We were a little nervous about staying in a duplex. We usually get a house in Ft Morgan and we’re worried that we would be able to hear our neighbors, however, we never even knew they were there. We were pleasantly surprised that house has been updated since the pictures listed. It was very spacious and clean. We packed a lot of unnecessary kitchen items because we have stayed at houses that provide very little. But the kitchen was very organized and stocked with everything you could possibly need to prepare a meal. This was a perfect place to stay and the perfect week for us! I would highly recommend staying here.

Deceiving

The house was not visible at night and hard to see pulling in. They never told us there was Construction going on next door. So we never got to sleep in. There were roaches in the living area. Upstairs shower wouldnt drain, so you're bathing in a ankle deep water. The carport area was wet constantly with plumbing that was leaking. Trash and nails from them remodeling the porch. Down stairs door was jammed and locked out our kid, had to call RR to come out and replace doorknob. They seemed more worried about their door than the kid. Not enough towels for 8 people as stated even for a bath. Outdated furniture. Wicker everything. It's so 90s. And the most horrible rope rug ever. It feels absolutely wretched on your feet. Will never rent from them again.

Hi Wendy, Thanks for taking the time to review. I am so sorry you did not enjoy your stay at Island Dreams. It is an older home and the photos that are online do show the existing furniture that is in the house. I do see on your reservation that you were very upset before you checked in because you wanted to be in the main part of Gulf Shores and did not want to stay in Fort Morgan which I think also played a major part in your dissatisfaction of the home. All of the maintenance issues you contacted us about including the issue with the bugs and your child being locked in the bedroom were addressed immediately. As far as the construction goes, unfortunately we are not aware when homes are scheduled to be built. These are all privately owned properties and there are no public notifications of when construction is scheduled on vacant lots. Again I hate you did not have a nice vacation however I feel like we did everything within our power to try to make it more enjoyable for you.
