Great place to stay with larger groups. Due to distribution of areas (rooms, kitchen, terrace) it's easy to distribute and do not feel crowded. Nice chilling breeze with stunning valley/sea view on the terrace with comfy sofas is just great.

Giovanni was an amazing host. He was extremely helpful and gave us lots of recommendations of places to visit in the area (i.e., - where to get groceries, desserts, wine, which beaches are best to go to, etc.,). He also hosted a dinner for us as I was celebrating my birthday with family. The layout of the property is very neat. Each guest has their own room with ensuite bathroom with shower. And the outdoor kitchen is fun to use! There is also a very cool authentic outdoor pizza oven and grill to use if you are feeling adventurous like we were. :) Hopefully, I can come back as Cefalú is a very charming town. Thanks for everything, Giovanni!!

This part of the property is very nice. For awareness, the common area is in a separate structure from the rooms, but that’s not an issue, just something to be aware of. The bedrooms across from the pool area are lovely and give good privacy. Giovanni was able to quickly sort out a plumbing issue that arose and was very responsive. The pool was very nice and there’s a lovely view from the covered pool deck. Indoor and outdoor kitchens are also very nice.

Spacious property with nice view

This property gave us and a fellow family lots of space to enjoy the Sicilian sun. The pool was great as was the view towards the surrounding hills and the sea. It was nice to experience a somewhat cooler climate than down the sea. On the downside, it took us half an hour to drive up and down the hill to get fresh bread in the morning. The property is somewhat run-down with the odd gadget not working. The owner tried to fix everything though. This is not a luxury property but I would recommend it to families looking for a good value vacation, if you are not looking for service in the immediate neighbourhood.

The villa is at 5,5 km from Cefalù. You reach the village driving very slowly in 10 minutes. The problem that Cefalù is a small of village full of people with car. So if you have to buy something you could spend 30 miutes because of the traffic and the difficulties to find a place where to park. The place is so crowded because it is beatiful and so a lot of people come to visit it. It is the only handikap of Cefalù: too many people wishing to visit it. Regards

Travelling as two families with 4 adults and 5 children (ages 11 to 17), we enjoyed our holiday at this property, which has great view overlooking the sea from its location in the hills above Cefalu. The villa is about 400 metres above sea level, on the winding mountain road up to the sanctuary at Gibilmanna. This made for a very pleasant climate (noticeably less humid than in Cefalu itself), great views and a calming location, although it does mean that a car is absolutely essential as there are no shops or restaurants closer than a 15 minute drive away. The property itself is made of three separate buildings - a row of 4 bedrooms, with a detached kitchen / living room opposite that, and a separate annex with further beds down some steps, next to the table tennis. There is a nice covered outdoor eating area, an outdoor kitchen, barbecue and wood fired pizza oven on on the same level as the main bedroom suite. The property is on a steep hill, with an off-road parking area above it which is much easier than the tricky access to the front entrance, but is quite a bit of effort when carrying shopping etc. Giovanni was a very helpful and responsive host, assisted by Adzim (apologies for any misspelling!) who emptied bins daily and was generally on hand for any issues. There are a few maintenance issues with the property which will continue to require attention, but this is a rustic property in a rural location and Giovanni & Adzim do their best to address any problems

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette villa. Très accueillante et très bien accueilli, les photo ont une dizaine d'années, les installation ont changé plutôt positivement dans l'ensemble. Un chien est venu passé la plupart de ses soirées avec nous, nous en déplaise ! Très bon séjours dans l'ensemble qui nécessite un véhicule.

Une super semaine de vacances

Giovanni est un hôte hors catégorie. Il se rend disponible à tout moment pour répondre à nos demandes. Encore un grand merci à lui. La maison est spacieuse, très agréable. La terrasse et la vue sont juste exceptionnelles. Enfin, nous n'avons manqué de rien, la maison est très bien équipée! Pour terminer, nous avons pris plaisir à visiter Cefalù et ses environs (notamment en bateau, loué au port)... De super coins! Bref, une super semaine de vacances!

Séjours août 2019

Un séjour agréable pendant 15 jours à 12 personnes La vue sur la terrasse est magnifique, et la maison est bien agencée afin de vivre à 12 sans être les uns sur les autres. Le parking pour 3 voitures est un peu serrés mais une fois habitué c'est facile de se garer. Des escaliers vous mène du parking à la villa, attention avec des petits en bas âge c'est vite fatigant. Cefalù est à 12 MN en voiture, et la maison est un endroit très agréable et calme où nous n'avons pas souffert de la chaleur grâce à la hauteur de la montagne. Giovanni est toujours disponible, un petit SMS et les demandes sont toujours prises en compte rapidement.

Agréable séjour

Une semaine sympathique cependant plusieurs remarques. Maison compliqué à trouver, accès parking par une autre entrée avec une forte pente et loin de la maison. De nombreux escaliers et un fort dénivelé pour accéder à la maison après s s’être garé. La maison est en 3 blocs. Un bloc de 3 chambres avec salle de bains un bloc cuisine et séjour intérieur et un bloc composé d une belle cuisine d été avec un espace barbecue et four à pizza immense. Cependant électroménager fonctionnant moyennement. Les deux dernières chambres sont sous la terrasse avec peu d ouvertures donc très sombres. Le coin piscine et terrasse est agréable avec une vue magnifique. Un autre bémol les chiens du quartier sont restés avec nous toute la semaine même si ils sont très gentils cela peut être problématique. Malgré ces remarques la semaine s est bien passé et on a pu profiter au maximum

Wir haben diese Unterkunft mit 9 Personen bewohnt. Jedes Alter war dabei. Leider ist hier nichts wie auf den Fotos… Alles ist gruselig dreckig und nicht instand gehalten Eigentlich wirklich schöne Räumlichkeiten sind einfach nicht geflegt und durch und durch und dreckig!!

Rustikal gemütlich mit schöner Aussicht

gemütliche Unterkunft mit allem was man braucht. Super Aussicht, schöner Pool, toll mit Schul-Kindern. Die Küche war teilweise etwas schmutzig (ungewaschenes Geschirr im Schrank), was wohl an den Vormietern lag.

Dear Mattihieu. We are very sorry that you did not like your staying at our villa. A short reply: 1) you did not mention that your staying was in one of the hottest august of the last 10 years in sicily. 40 deegres during day 25/30 in the night for 12 nights (almost all the 2 weeks that you stayed in the villa). The electrical system of the area collapsed and many appliances did not work properly. I t was an hot august for everybody. We manage several villas even more beautiful than the one of this review. We had not nice reviews also in other the villas during that period. It was hot everywhere: unbearable for everyone tourist and not tourist, A nightmare. Too hot and electricla sicilian system was not able to arrange a good quality of energy. 3) Regarding the pool: we rent 30 weeks for years. You were the only that complained about pool decking. 4) A barkling dog it is considered by you also a fault of us. Unfortunely in some rare circustances scattered dogs barkl.YOU MENTIONED 1 DAY AND 1 NIGHT. You also informed me. We will not kill them to permit a confortable stay to you. 5) Concerning cleaning. You did not mention that it is a staffed assist villa. As soon as we receive a complaint the staff arrive and and solve the problem. You request help of our staff at least 3 times. It would have been sufficient inform the staff. You pretended to enter at 12 instead at 3. We permitted it to you. It was a big mistake, probably the cleaning was not perfect as usual. It would have been sufficient ask me an extra cleaning. We are not able to say no (even if they are wrong) to our guest. We mantain staff (very expenisve for us) for this reason, just totry to arrange a good quality of service. Kindest Regards Giovanni

Very peaceful property:beatiful sea view.

A very nice country house well equipped and confortable. The villa has 5 bed rooms. In 3 out of 5 bathroom is ensuite. We had most of our meals on the terrace. Great barbecue. In the larger one you can cook for 20 people: enormous. We involved us also as pizza maker in the external large oven set outdoor. The result was pretty good thanks to the help o Gianni (the manager of thr villa always avaible on our request to give us assistance). Cefalu is not far: 6 km. It is a bit overrcrowded but it's worthwhile going to the beach or walking in this pituresque small village in the eveing. Our children enjoyed very much the pool. The villa has several shaded area where you can repair from the sicilian sun. Sometimes . Thanks to God ac worked very well. I hope to come back again.

A very relaxing holiday

Five of us stayed at Villa Giovanni for a week. The views from the terrace and the pool were the things we most appreciated. The living & dining areas are open and spacious. We ate most dinners in and found the kitchen to be just what we needed. Villa Gioavnni is located perfectly for day trips to Madonie Park and Palermo. We shopped for our dinner supplies in Cefalù, finding delightful produce, meat & fish markets. Gianni, the owner, was very helpful in giving us suggestions for site seeing. We are definitely recommending Villa Giovanni to friends for their travels next year! Hello Gianni!! Many greetings from Tom.
