Set deep inside Yosemite National Park, THE WILDERNEST YOSEMITE sits in a secluded forest enclave—one of only a handful of private residences in the park. With no immediate neighbors, expect quiet, starry nights, and occasional wildlife. Being past the gates turns long drives into spontaneous trail time and long soaks in the hot tub. Food services are limited in the park, so plan provisions (restaurant food to-go or groceries) on your way through Oakhurst. Enjoy the rare calm of nature all around. Respect park guidelines and leave no trace.
Guests have exclusive use of the entire cabin and private outdoor spaces, including the hot tub and forest yard. Some storage areas may be locked for housekeeping. The property is reached by an unpaved private access road with on-site parking—AWD/4WD highly recommended. Please arrive before sundown and download directions in advance (GPS is unreliable; no cell service at the cabin). Interior spiral stairs and exterior steps connect the upper and lower levels.

Room darkening curtains/shades and a sound machine keep mornings slow, and wardrobes with hangers and suitcase stands make unpacking effortless.

Travel light: a pack ’n play, high chair, and baby bathtub are ready for little ones. Board and card games keep everyone entertained, and the 2 smart TVs lets you log into your own streaming services so kids can watch their favorites, just like at home.
⭐ LAYOUT ⭐
Two levels connected by a spiral staircase; exterior steps to the lower level. May not suit guests with limited mobility.
Free on-site parking available for up to 3 vehicles. RVs and boats are welcome to park on site in the larger space. Please park only in the designated spaces, and off the main road. 5 minutes to Wawona General Store for basics, gas, and an EV charger. 10 minutes to Pine Tree Market for groceries. Public transportation within Yosemite is limited and seasonal—check routes and schedules on the NPS Yosemite website.
Highlights: Secluded inside Yosemite National Park with no immediate neighbors; A/C and Wi-Fi; private hot tub; professionally cleaned between stays with sanitized bedding and pillows.
Arrival & Accessibility: the property is located off an unpaved private access road and AWD/4WD highly recommended; plan to check in before sundown for easier navigation; download directions in advance—GPS is unreliable and there’s no cell service; seasonal conditions require appropriate vehicle access; snow storms may result in cancellation. Interior spiral stairs and exterior steps may not suit guests with limited mobility.
Cameras/Monitoring: Your safety matters. Exterior-only security cameras (video/audio) are located at the doorbell, front, side, and back of the property. Being located deep in the woods, these cameras are important to ensure the cabin is ready for your arrival (snow accumulation, fallen trees, damage to the cabin due to acts of nature). There is a smoke, occupancy, temperature, and noise decibel monitor in the main living room for your safety. There is absolutely no video or audio recording of any kind indoors.
Check In & Out: 4pm Check In (we recommend arrival before sundown for easier wayfinding). 11am Check Out.
Wildlife and Insects: It is our utmost priority to keep the home clean and comfortable. We regularly spray the perimeter of the home with organic insecticides, but please keep in mind you are staying in a natural setting where wildlife is part of the experience. Some wildlife may enter the home despite our efforts. Please help us keep them outside by keeping doors and windows closed.
General House Rules:
1) No pets. Service animals are welcome with proper documentation in accordance with ADA guidelines.
2) Smoking & Fire Safety: Wildfire risk in Yosemite is extremely high. No smoking of any kind anywhere on the property. Fire extinguishers are in the kitchen and near the BBQ. Never leave the BBQ unattended; turn it off and let it cool completely. No campfires or open flames permitted.
3) No parties or additional guests. Maximum guest count should not exceed 8 persons.
4) Please keep floors, carpets, and couches clean by wiping your shoes at the door, or taking shoes off while inside. We encourage the use of the shoe rack outdoors for hiking boots, wet shoes, etc.
5) Please lock the house each time you leave the property and keep windows and doors closed at all times. If left open, animals, insects, and other critters will enter.
6) Never leave any food or trash outside or in your car, as this will attract bears and other wildlife.
7) Please turn off the heating/cooling unit in each room when you are out exploring the park and at check-out.
8) Please respect our neighbors with quiet hours between 10pm - 8am.
9) Park only in the driveway in the designated parking spaces (3 available).
10) Please do not hide stains or damage done to the property. The sooner we know about issues, the better we can fix them for the next guests.

À propos de l’hôte
Hôte : Ellie & Drew Camba
We’re Ellie and Drew from Los Angeles, parents of three who love escaping the city to reconnect in nature. After getting married in Sequoia National Park, the wilderness has always been our place to recharge and find balance. Hosting at The Wildernest Yosemite allows us to share that same peace and sense of wonder with others who love adventure, design, and quiet moments in nature.
Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement
We fell in love with Yosemite years ago, and when this cabin in Wawona became available, we knew it was meant to be our home away from home. Wawona is one of the few residential areas inside Yosemite National Park, surrounded by forest and close to landmarks like the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias and Yosemite Valley. It’s peaceful, filled with wildlife and fresh pine air—an incredible place to unplug and feel immersed in nature.
Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique
The Wildernest Yosemite is one of only a handful of private residences still remaining inside Yosemite National Park, and even rarer for its complete privacy. Our cabin sits on land bordered entirely by the National Park Service, with no direct neighbors, so you’ll experience true quiet and seclusion. Fully renovated in 2025, it blends modern luxury with wilderness surroundings—offering high-end comfort, design, and calm in the heart of Yosemite.
