The home is comfortable and chic, and the fully-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing memorable meals. The highlight of any day is stepping out onto the deck at sunset. Whether guests are soaking in the Hot Tub or just sitting by the fire pit, the combination of the vast open space and the deep quiet of the desert air is completely restorative. It truly feels like a world away from the everyday hustle.

Guests consistently rave about the privacy and tranquility of the Desert Heights location. Set on 5 raw acres, the property feels perfectly isolated while still having quick, convenient access to the best of Joshua Tree. You'll love being only 15–20 minutes from both the main National Park entrances, and you'll appreciate the quick drive to downtown areas for groceries, dining, and vintage shopping. Most importantly, guests adore the phenomenal night skies this area offers. While there is a distant glow on the horizon (far less than a major city), the stargazing is breathtaking—a truly unique backdrop for their entire stay.

One of the most gorgeous homestays we’ve been lucky to experience! The entire property was gorgeous and there was a special amount of care that was taken to make us feel at home. On a trip to Joshua Tree or Twentynine Palms, this provided us with the most perfect base. We were just the right distance from the national park, within close proximity to both farmers markets (Twentynine Palms and Joshua Tree), close to popular spots like Mas O Menos, and yet, we were away enough from the city to see a tremendous amount of stars at night — comparable to deep in the park itself! Additionally, we were able to see the brilliant Belt of Venus from the comfort of the bungalow out back. There was a fire pit, a grill, a hot tub, hammocks, and much more — all of which made this stay feel like a resort. The hosts also took special care cleaning the unit prior to our arrival — i mean it was literally spotless. What an incredible experience and stay! We will absolutely be coming back to this specific unit! You have to visit; it is a perfect getaway!

We chose Desert Heights specifically for its deep sense of isolation and high-desert tranquility. This neighborhood provides true desert quiet and privacy, which was essential for creating the "Belt of Venus" experience—a place where you can truly disconnect. We also love that we are perfectly positioned between the two entrances of Joshua Tree National Park for easy access to hiking and exploring.

The scene here is one of rugged, serene beauty, defined by vast, open desert and stunning panoramic vistas. What we enjoy most is the ability to relax beneath the night sky. While there is always some distant glow on the horizon (far less than a major city), the stargazing is still absolutely phenomenal. Our favorite part is enjoying a cocktail in the hot tub at night, looking up to see the countless stars—it feels like being miles away from everything.
