Many times guests want to know how a cabin got its name. The owners are both in the eye industry with Haley being an Optometrist and Aaron being an eyeglass manufacturer provider. They had a clear vision for the cabin to offer a place for families and friends to decompress, renew and focus on the beauty and tranquility of the North GA Mountains!
The drive to The Looking Glass is the perfect setting to start your vacation! Meandering through lush forest, just a short distance from town, the picturesque pasture lands, lake and mountain cabin living spring to life, giving reason you chose our beautiful area!
The cabin is located in the gated community of Green Ridge Mountain. Access is via all paved roads to the gate and up the initial incline until it levels off to a well maintained gravel road. The road will meander through the neighborhood with beautiful views of other properties and surroundings. The Looking Glass will be located on your left and has easy in/out access with a circular driveway! There is enough parking for up to 4 vehicles.
There are two entrances to the cabin. The door code lock is the one to right up a short set of stairs. You will be provided the door code 1 day prior to your arrival.
Upon entering, the living room will be directly to your right with the kitchen and dining room straight back. The living room has plenty of seating with a sofa, love seat, ottoman and chair. It also features side tables, lamps, gas fireplace and 55â smart TV. The living space provides a great view of the mountains and the large windows let in plenty of natural light.
The dining room has a table for six, also providing a view of the mountains. There are three additional bar stools available at the kitchen counter.
The large spacious kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for those large gatherings. There is plenty of counter and cabinet space and it features all stainless steel appliances (electric stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator).
The covered deck will be a guest favorite with a wood burning fireplace, seating area and smart TV. There is a gas grill for the grill master in the family and the deck continues around the cabin with two additional seating areas, both with great views of the mountains!
Back inside, the first bedroom is just off the kitchen. It features a queen bed, side tables, dresser, smart TV, large closet and access to the main level bathroom.
The bathroom/laundry room is also just off the kitchen. It has a full size washer and dryer, tub shower combo, and single vanity.
The king master suite is on the upper level. Be careful on the stairs. They are live edge wood and have variations on the depth. Beautiful but different! The bedroom is a large private escape with side tables, lamps, smart TV and private deck. The deck has two seats with foot rest to relax and enjoy your morning coffee or night cap before bed.
The large master suite bathroom has a walk-in shower, soaking tub and double vanity.
There is a small loft area that has a private work station if you need to stay in touch.
Venture downstairs to the welcoming cozy living room/game room! There is a baby gate at the top of the stairs for safety. Also, be mindful of the live edge wood steps going down the stairs.
The downstairs has new carpet, with thick padding, providing warmth and inviting space! It has a shuffleboard table, bar top/card table for games/puzzles, sleeper sofa, love seat, ottoman, rocking chair, gas fireplace, 55â smart TV, wet bar, mini fridge and multiple board games/puzzles. It is the perfect space for family fun!
The third bedroom is just down the hall. It has a king bed, side tables, lamps, dresser, closet and smart TV.
The bathroom is just outside the bedroom. It is very spacious, with a tub/shower combo and single vanity.
Stress relief is waiting for you on the lower outside deck. Enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings and lose yourself in the 5 person hot tub!
Additional seating areas are also provided next to the hot tub as well as a dining table for your beverages/snacks. As you move to the open area of the deck, there is also additional seating with a side table to gaze at the stars!
The owners want the entire family to visit and enjoy so the cabin is dog friendly! We accept up to two dogs under 50 lbs. We respectfully ask that you not let them on the beds or furniture. A dog crate and bowls are provided for your convenience.
There are not any charging stations for electric vehicles in town. For your convenience, we have provided one for your use. It is a Level II EV Eviqo Charger - 25â cord with a Tesla adapter.

Access is via keyless entry. A check-in code will be provided 1 day prior to arrival. Checkout code will be provided the day before with instructions.
The entire cabin is available to the guest with the exception of the owners closet
