The Space:
Blue Ridge, GA has been a tourist destination since its founding in 1886. The first railway came to Blue Ridge at this time and provided an easy path from Atlanta. Overnight Blue Ridge became a boomtown. People flocked to this region to enjoy the fresh mountain air and cool climate. The same wonderful experiences are true today!
Since its humble beginnings, a variety of new adventures are offered now including trails, waterfalls, Lake Blue Ridge, horseback riding, tubing, white water rafting, breweries, wineries, restaurants, shopping and a plethora of other attractions.
Hemlock Hideout, located on Fightingtown Creek, is the perfect family retreat to enjoy everything Blue Ridge has to offer. The easy access to downtown and other attractions are ideal, yet secluded to provide the wonderful mountain experience. For clarification, you will need to take the trail to reach Fightingtown Creek. The home has 82 ft. of creek frontage for the guests access.
The owners had a vision when they purchased Hemlock Hideout. They wanted a space to share with families so they could spend quality time and shed the stress of everyday life. The home has had a number of renovations, creating a warm and inviting interior and offering amazing outdoor areas to breath the fresh mountain air and enjoy everything this beautiful town has to offer.
The experience starts the minute you pull up to the home. You will immediately notice the brand new outdoor space with a stone wood burning fireplace, smart TV and large seating/dining area perfectly made for family and friends.
You will enter the home into a large fully appointed kitchen and dining area with seating for eight and two additional seats at the bar.
The space then opens to a quaint vaulted living room, large screen smart TV, recliners, sofa, sofa table with chairs that can be an additional dining space, gas fireplace and large glass windows letting natural sunlight flood the room. There is a half bath for your convenience and the first of four bedrooms is directly off the living room space with a large king master suite and smart TV.
The second bedroom is directly upstairs featuring a large king suite, large screen smart TV and seating area. This is the perfect escape for your peace and Zen!
There are two large porch options to choose from directly off the main floor. You have the option of the open porch, to listen to the sounds of Fightingtown Creek or the large party porch featuring the stone wood burning fireplace. It has ample seating for everyone and a large outdoor table to enjoy family meals with nature.
As you venture downstairs, you will step into an open game room/living area with retro tin drop ceiling tiles, gas fireplace, smart tv, air hockey, sitting arcade game with 100's of options, foosball, and plenty of board games for endless family fun!
Two additional bedrooms are available in the lower level. One is a king bedroom and the other offers a unique king lower bunk bed and two singles above. The perfect kids hideout!
Directly off the living area are two additional outdoor options. The first is a cozy screened porch to read your book, enjoy that fresh brewed cup of coffee or favorite beverage. The other option includes the stress away hot tub, additional outdoor seating, bar, smart tv and darts for the fun and competitive nature that exists in every family!
Don’t forget to take the new trail that leads directly to Fightingtown Creek with a new observation platform. New steps have been added from the lower deck and at the bottom of the trail. The trail weaves back and forth down the hill. Please use caution and care. Trails in the mountains can be slippery and have obstacles. Fishing is allowed. The cabin does have 82 ft. of creek frontage but is not directly on the creek. You can also walk the gravel road to access the creek.
